I have a German Shepherd who’s a big nervous baby, but she was so patient and gentle with her that my dog warmed right up to her. She’s super reliable, keeps me updated with pictures (the animals always look so happy in them!), and you can tell she genuinely loves animals. She’s even mentioned her own pet, and it’s clear she’s just as loving and attentive with hers as she is with mine. My pets are always happy and relaxed when I get back. Melanie’s compassion and patience with my Daisy is top notch. I appreciate that she makes sure my pup is always comfortable ( even if it means taking up half the bed!) and in a peaceful environment whenever we leave Daisy with her at her house. And when we had in home animal care, Melanie is very thoughtful not only in making sure our pets are well cared for but our place seems to look better than when we left it! About: As I grew up in a household full of animals, I am quite familiar with the skills it takes to properly care for a pet! I am used to the daily responsibilities and have experience with a wide variety of animals. I absolutely love spending time with animals and look forward to caring for more fur babies in the area! I am currently working part-time so I am quite flexible with pet sitting! I can cater to you and your pet's needs throughout the stay. I am able to adjust to each pet's unique needs and personality. I am willing to go at their pace and allow them to feel comfortable in their own space!

One of my dogs is a senior pug who required a special diet and daily oral & topical medications. She was able to handle the routine and respected my specific instructions. I trust her implicitly and will definitely book her next time I'm out of town or need help getting them a little exercise.”

About: Im so excited to be working for you! What a treat to be able to love on your beautiful babies! I enjoy pet sitting so much because just like people, animals have their own personalities and it’s really neat for me to discover them in all the little fur friends I get to meet. I am good natured and loving and your pet will notice that right off the bat. I’m caring and compassionate and you won’t have to worry about your babies while I am there. I enjoy overnight stays because I know it’s important for them to be “at home”. It’s easy for me to feel at home wherever I go! I have a kitty and he stays home and is very content with that. He is a super friendly 15 lb MainCoon that has a very sweet personality. He’s always up for belly rubs. He does not accompany me on any of my stays or visits. I have several families that aren’t on rover that I just love so much. So their reviews aren’t on here. But if you need references, please let me know. I’m grateful for the opportunity to hang out with your fur family and know that you can rest easy knowing they are in good hands, I am open to visits and check ins or even long weekends or vacations. It would be great to come to you. Take a vacation and relax knowing your home and sweet babies are being lovingly cared for. Unfortunately I am unable to board any pets at this time. I don’t have the needed space to accommodate them. Thank you so very much!

About: I believe every dog and cat is special and will treat yours as so. I grew up with two cats and one dog. I love both equally. I understand that taking care of animals is not only about the necessities of food, water, and potty breaks. Companionship is also a key factor in ensuring the happiness and long life of your special animal. Currently, I have an open schedule and would be able to accommodate to your needs/work schedule easily. I love to be active, to hike, and to go on adventures. I will go to parks and play fetch with your dog. I will play tug of war. I will show them the love they deserve. They will always have fresh water and a companion you can rely on to provide them with the utmost care.

About: I was raised on a farm with a variety of animals, (such as chickens, goats, sheep, ducks, rabbits, etc.) along with being raised around multiple more familiar pets such as cats, dogs, birds, fish, and rodents (rats & mice). I started pet sitting for neighbors and friends at the age of 12 and have been taking jobs ever since. I’ve personally had two dogs, both of whom I’ve loved dearly and taught to come, sit, lay, stand up, dance, shake, and bark on command. I love meeting new animals and getting to know them and their needs, along with your own needs in the care you would like them to receive! I’m currently a undergraduate student at UCSD and for the summer I work part-time jobs or am busy with an internship, but I still make plenty of time to care if your pets! I accurately follow any directions or preferences you would like me to follow for your pets care. For example, in the past I’ve been asked to follow medication routines, walk schedules, and pets diets.

About: I have had horses, sheep, bunnies, birds, dogs and cats my whole life. I housesitted for many families in my neighborhood growing up and love animals. I am able to care for common household chores as well. I'm currently working part-time as a hair stylist so I have plenty of time to play with your pets and make sure that they are well fed and taken care of while you are away. I will make sure that while in your home that it stays tidy and clean. Your pets will be happy to have My company as I see all pets as members of the family and treat them as such.
