About: I've been a pet/house sitter for about 10 years, I started when I was a teenager helping my family friends and neighbors to now as an adult. I’m the Executive Director of a nonprofit animal rescue and have extensive experience with: * rescue and anxious dogs * senior dogs * puppies * medication administration * decompression and slow introductions * leash handling and structured walks * dogs recovering from surgery/injury * reactive or fearful dogs I understand that every dog is different and I always prioritize safety, patience, structure, and making dogs feel comfortable and secure. Because I have animals of my own and run a rescue, I currently focus on: * drop-in visits * dog walking * medication visits * structured enrichment walks * pet transport/help with vet visits I’m especially comfortable with dogs that may need a little extra understanding or experience beyond a typical pet sitter/walker. Mornings and evening are best. As well as Tuesdays, and weekends. I do not provide pet care in my own home at this time, but I will gladly come to yours and spend time with your fur babies!
About: I’ve cared for animals my entire life and grew up on a farm with dogs, cats, and a wide variety of animals. That background allows me to confidently care for pets of all temperaments—from high-energy dogs to those that need extra patience and structure. My home sits on 11 acres, giving dogs plenty of safe space to explore and get real exercise not just short walks. I also live a very active lifestyle and make sure every dog gets the movement, playtime, and attention they need to feel happy and comfortable. Your pet won’t just be ‘watched’—they’ll be cared for, exercised, and treated like part of the family. I provide a clean, safe, smoke-free home and send regular updates so you always have peace of mind while you’re away. I’m available every day after 2:30 PM and fully available on weekends. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, allowing me to give consistent attention, exercise, and supervision. I prioritize reliability, so your pet’s schedule stays consistent and stress-free while you’re away. I provide a safe, clean, and structured environment on a peaceful 11-acre property. Pets always have plenty of space to explore while remaining supervised. I follow each owner’s specific instructions closely, including feeding, routines, and any special needs. I can crate if requested and ensure all animals are separated when needed for safety and comfort.

About: Hi! I’m a stay-at-home mom of two little ones and a big animal lover. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life, and I have about 10 years of experience helping friends, family, and neighbors with their pets. I’ve provided in-home pet sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, and I’m comfortable with pets of different sizes, ages, and personalities. I understand that pets are family members, and I always try to make them feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. Since I’m home most of the day with my kids, I have a flexible schedule and can give pets plenty of attention, playtime, and care. Whether your pet needs a walk, a quick check-in, or loving company while you’re gone, I’d be happy to help. I’m also looking to earn a little extra income for my family, and there’s no better way to do that than by spending time with furry friends. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! Since I’m a stay-at-home mom with my little ones, I have a very flexible schedule and am often available throughout the day. In some cases, my children may come with me for drop-in visits or certain pet care tasks. They are gentle, respectful around animals, and have grown up around pets themselves, so they are very comfortable and calm with them. Our family loves animals, and we always treat every pet with kindness, patience, and care. When caring for pets, I always do my best to follow the routine and preferences discussed with their owner. I know how important consistency is for animals, so I aim to keep their feeding times, walks, playtime, and general care as close to their normal schedule as possible. My goal is to help them feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: Owner Away? I’ll Sit and Stay. I am willing to take care of your dog at my house or yours and have been an avid lover of our furry friends for as long as I can remember. Besides caring for dogs, cats, birds, fish and gerbils of my own in the past, I have been declared the animal whisperer in my family. I am currently a third-year student studying to create prosthetics for animals at Cal Poly University and volunteer with Guide Dogs for the Blind as well as two other organizations that foster and rehouse animals to their furrrever homes. I would love nothing more than the opportunity to meet with you and your pet to give them the best level of care while you're away and to help you feel confident in trusting to leave your fur baby with me. I am currently taking this quarter off of school to focus on work and so I have quite a bit of free time as my job only requires that I work from home. That being said, whatever availability is required to fit your needs, that is a department I am more than flexible to appease. Ideally, I would like to offer care in the client's home, whether that be pet/house sitting or just walking the dog. In that situation, I would be more than happy to take care of upkeeping the household if need be (i.e. water plants, take out the trash, pick up the mail, etc.) I live in an apartment complex where smaller animals are allowed so depending on the client's case, I can try to accommodate housing arrangements in my home instead.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
