16. Elle B.
About: Hi there, I'm Elle! I offer short and long-term housesitting (in your home) in Santa Cruz County. I have 3 years of consistent experience caring for dogs and cats while I've been a resident of Santa Cruz. Prior to this, I did occasional sitting for a friend of mine and her two pups when I was living in San Diego. In August 2012 I graduated from Grossmont Health Occupations Center as a Veterinary Assistant. Though I decided to not pursue this career, I learned a lot about animal care. I went on to work at WAG Hotel (fka Pooch Hotel) in San Diego from October 2012 through August 2013. There, I would be responsible for the safety of up to 30 dogs in a playpen of various sizes and breeds. Following that, I've done short-term gigs as a dog bather and volunteer work in Thailand with a shelter of 300 dogs! Since living in Santa Cruz, I've been house/pet sitting. I've had one client for over a year. His dog and I are well acquainted and he is always super excited to see me (as am I:) My current work allows so much freedom - either because I am setting my own hours as a massage therapist, or because I agree to particular shifts as a substitute preschool teacher. My schedule is very flexible. While I'm looking after your precious fur baby, you can expect for them to receive a lot of pets, cuddles, outdoor activities/play, leisurely walks that allow them to do dog things, treats, and photos for you to enjoy in seeing the love and joy they're receiving!
17. Marley M.
“I’ve known Marley for about 6 years and she has looked after my dog Maisie multiple times throughout the years. She’s great at playing with Maisie, walking her the necessary lengths, understanding her, and I would trust her with my dog in whatever scenario anytime. She’s always given Maisie a walk that satisfies her needs, and Maisie loves Marley to bits! I couldn’t recommend her more as a dog walker/carer.”
