About: For the last 6 years I have had different friends and family rely on me for dog, cat, and rabbit care. I have been responsible for scheduled feedings, bathing, walks, and of course playing and quality time. My goal is always to be communicative, reliable, and adaptable to any and all of your pets individual needs. I currently work full-time in retail with a schedule that varies per week, but would love to use any of my free time and days off to spend with pets. All shifts are 8 hours or less and I am more than willing to make time before or after (or both) any of my shifts. My biggest priority in any situation is to remain communicative and careful, as I understand what it’s like to have your pet in somebody else’s care. In cases of pet-sitting in your home I can be trusted to be respectful of all belongings, keeping a clean space, and going above and beyond care instructions. In cases of boarding in my home, I live in a two story house in the hills of Scotts Valley with two other animal-loving housemates. We have a large fenced backyard on a hill and plenty of hiking trails nearby to stay active.
“Alysa was great! She always arrived within our scheduled window and never forgot to send pictures. She came by to meet my cats before my trip and asked great questions. We'll definitely book with Alysa again!”

“Nora is a GIFT! About a year ago my now 14 year-old cat Riley abruptly lost a significant amount of weight and bloodwork showed some kind of significant liver event though nothing was evident in an XRAY or ultrasound. He was prescribed two ongoing medications to support his liver & reduce inflammation; a small pill that needs to absorb during a fast (no food for 2 hours before and 1 hour after) and a liquid medication that needs to be given with food. In addition to the with/without food medications complexity, successfully pilling a cat every day requires a deft hand—pretty straightforward for someone who’s good at it, increasingly difficult each day for anyone who isn’t. Add to the equation both Riley and his brother Ash are initially shy with strangers. All things considered to me the situation seemed like a complicated ask for a pet sitter, so over the past year I hadn’t gone away on any trips longer than 2-3 days. In the face of a terminal illness diagnosis in my direct family I came to terms with having to hope for the best using a pet sitter for an 8 day family vacation though I was very concerned about how Riley would be affected by the extended change in routine. Enter Nora; highly intelligent, highly *attuned* (to the pets & the people), instantly trustworthy, and very gracious, a rare combination of total professionalism & grounded compassion. Though Nora was only here for about an hour each day her presence *visibly improved* Riley’s health. I didn’t know it was possible to come home from being away for 8 days to find Riley noticeably fluffier and more energetic than when I left, but that’s the magic that unfolded under Nora’s care. She also sent me pictures of Riley and Ash every day and let me know how they were each doing, sharing her sophisticated curiosity & creativity getting Riley to eat more and Ash to gradually come out of his shyness with clear warmth towards both of them. It’s extremely clear Nora *truly cares* and is keenly observant and exceptionally competent, a combination that made it possible for me to relax so much more on my trip. I’m very grateful to have found her. Thank YOU so much Nora. TBC 💗🐈🐈⬛🧘♀️”

“Samantha took great care of our kitties and was extremely professional, caring, and responsive. This was our first booking with Samantha and we would recommend her to anyone in need of a drop-in visit. Thank you again Samantha!”

“Carmen has made several check ins with our two kitties and one dog. They love her, even our very shy kitty! Both of our kitties require meds and Carmen was able to give them their meds with no issues. I would highly recommend Carmen her love of animals is very evident.”

About: I've had cats and dogs my whole life. The last couple years I couldn't own one do to work schedule so I became the petsitter for a lot of my friends when they were out of town. Never had a problem. My schedule changes weekly and I work 2-3 nights a week. That gives me most afternoons off and chunks of complete days off for pet caring. I have a cute fenced in apt in felton with plenty of walking trails outside my door. I have no trouble caring for pets at my client's home and would follow their indicullvidual needs.
About: When I was 10 I moved with my family and my neighbors had two Rottweilers that terrified me so much that I had to cross the street to walk by their house. One day I went up to my neighbor and asked to meet them and they ended up becoming my best friends in the neighborhood, and I would feed and walk them every-time my neighbors went out of town. Ever since then I have loved dogs no matter how big or scary, and have taken care of pets for my friends and family, from little cocker spaniels to German shepherds and everywhere in between. I am currently in the midst of a job search, so my availability is open to look after and pets for the time being. I have spent a lot of time this year pet/housesitting for my parents and a few of my friends. I currently do not have any pets at my home since I have a studio apartment with not a lot of space, but I have reliable transportation and I live close to a few parks, beaches, and woods where I take dogs that I am looking after. I’m good about sticking to scheduled walk and meal times and am a fairly active person so your dog will get plenty of exercise!
“Jasmine was so amazing! She provided excellent care to my cats while I was away and sent many photos which I really appreciated. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Sara was amazing with our three cats when we went out of town. She spent time playing with all of them even our grumpy hard to find kitty. She kept us updated on the weather so we could make sure they kept cool during a surprise heatwave and made sure we knew all the changes in the house while we were gone. I highly recommend her to care for your pets, she truly treats them as her own.”

About: I have plenty of personal experience in caring for animals, growing up with pets my entire life as well as currently having a dog of my own. Ive always had a deep love and interest in learning about and caring for animals. Ive pet sat for family/friends and have experience with other species such as rodents and reptiles. I have a great passion for working with animals and would love the opportunity to pet sit or dog walk for you! I work a part time job but I do have a flexible schedule and can always work with whatever dates or times you would need! At your home I would spend time with your pet, keeping them busy with any activity that suits their personality best whether it be laying down getting pets, playing with enrichment toys, going for a walk or playing fetch! My home would be a very similar experience, I live in a safe neighborhood for walks, and also have a fenced yard.
About: Hi! My name is Sinead. I’m a born animal lover and have been volunteering and fostering with shelters since I was 15. At the moment I have 2 dogs and two cats. I have owned, fostered and pet sat a large variety of dogs, cats, birds, rodents and reptiles. I have experience administering topical, oral, eye, ear and injectable medications to dogs, cats and birds. I also have experience with reactive dogs, spicy cats, elderly and chronically ill animals; including those with seizure disorders. I do work full time and will be unavailable 8am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. I do work full time so will not be available 8am-5:30pm weekdays. Outside of those hours I have a very flexible schedule and can cater to a variety of needs. I excel at reading body language and always want your pet to feel comfortable. I’d rather err on the side of caution so do not allow dogs to approach strangers dogs when out and about. I always keep dogs on leash when outside of fenced areas. I also have multiple seatbelt for dogs when traveling by car.
About: Hello! My name is Anna, and I am currently studying to become a veterinarian in Santa Cruz, CA. I have worked professionally with animals for the past nine years and always treat every fur baby as if they are my own. I have built this experience through my independent pet-sitting business, my four years as a sales consultant at Pet Food Express, and my volunteer work as a cat and kitten socializer at a local shelter. I am also a mama to both my wonderful cat, Lemon, and my 16-year-old dog, Leo! I am currently very flexible with my schedule and am available for both day and overnight pet sitting. I strive not only to make your pet(s) feel as comfortable as possible, but also to help every owner feel as though they left their pet in the right hands. I love to provide as many updates and photos of your fur baby as you may want! I have the most experience with cats and dogs, but I do have limited experience with reptiles as well. I have additionally worked with animals of all temperaments, and I understand that new faces can be anxiety-inducing for some. I will always tailor each experience specifically to the needs of your animal and what will help bring them the most happiness :) Specific areas of expertise for me that may not be found elsewhere include caring for senior pets and animals who may have special needs. Through my studies, I have developed a strong foundation in primary veterinary concerns and how to properly care for an animal when they may not be feeling their best. As a current undergraduate student who pet-sits as my primary job, I am very flexible and open to caring for your animals! At most, I drive up to campus once a day for approximately two hours in the afternoon. I leave the rest of my day open to keeping your fur baby the best possible company. Pet safety is always my number one priority! I currently live in an apartment complex that contains a fenced yard, a dog park directly behind my apartment, and plenty of dog-friendly walking trails nearby. Our apartment is fairly spacious, and I have found that animals tend to love the large windows and amount of light we receive. For cats, I always ensure that all windows and doors are locked, and there are no possible escape routes (I know how sneaky cats can be)! I do currently have a very friendly cat living with me.
About: I have been caring for my 13 year old dog, Molly, for 11 years. I am also an active volunteer at the county animal shelter, working with dogs (1,000+ hours) and cats (400+ hours). I have a special place in my heart for dogs with behavioral and medical needs, and working with them at the shelter has taught me patience and skills that help to make the animals more comfortable. I also have training in puppy care, senior dog care, walking leash-sensitive dogs, and caring for injured animals. The time I get to spend with dogs is the most fun I have doing anything, and I take a lot of pride in caring for them with the appropriate level of attention and patience they need. I work remotely and have a flexible schedule, so I am available to walk and care dogs at a variety of hours. The length of walks is up to you and your dog-- I am happy to do short walks or longer outings depending on what you need! I am happy to refer you to references (animal shelter staff and volunteers) who can attest to my dog-handling skills and my ability to work with dogs from a variety of backgrounds. The safety of your pet and your home always come first, and I am very comfortable taking any steps needed to ensure that everything goes smoothly.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bethany Park
Nora has been walking Shadow for few weeks now, getting to know each other before we go on a trip this winter. I really like her communication style with Shadow and with me. And Shadow is relaxed and happy with Nora. I am super happy I found someone who takes such good care of our pup!
I am so happy that my neighbor recommended Dawn to care for our cat Keiko. She has been so amazing. Our cat is shy and never allows anyone to get close. In the past, anyone who tried to care for her could not get her to come out from her hiding place. Dawn was able to connect and make friends with her. I loved the daily photos, and the feedback that she was able to pet her. I will be happy to recommend Dawn to my friends when they need a wonderful sitter for their fur babies. Nicole and Jim

Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
