“Carmen has made several check ins with our two kitties and one dog. They love her, even our very shy kitty! Both of our kitties require meds and Carmen was able to give them their meds with no issues. I would highly recommend Carmen her love of animals is very evident.”

“David cared for our three cats while we were away and performed exceptionally well. He went beyond expectations with our older cat requiring medication, ensuring she received every dose by mixing it into her food and ensuring she ate every drop. He was prompt and thorough, inspecting all three animals even when one hid. He sent detailed entertaining updates and lots of photos. I strongly recommend David for your pet care needs.”

“Lara is dependable and hilarious, and truly gets the cat personalities. Thanks for your care of our little tribe; everyone is calm and Noodles eventually returned to the standard Noodlin’ within a day or two. Send our pets ro Bean! ♥️”

About: I have plenty of personal experience in caring for animals, growing up with pets my entire life as well as currently having a dog of my own. Ive always had a deep love and interest in learning about and caring for animals. Ive pet sat for family/friends and have experience with other species such as rodents and reptiles. I have a great passion for working with animals and would love the opportunity to pet sit or dog walk for you! I work a part time job but I do have a flexible schedule and can always work with whatever dates or times you would need! At your home I would spend time with your pet, keeping them busy with any activity that suits their personality best whether it be laying down getting pets, playing with enrichment toys, going for a walk or playing fetch! My home would be a very similar experience, I live in a safe neighborhood for walks, and also have a fenced yard.
About: I have expirience with animals of all ages and sizes, including farm animals, cage animals, and of course tons of experience with dogs and cats! I was raised with 3 dogs/3 cats/and other farm animals of my own, so I am equipped to care for a “furry family” of any size. I have excellent communication skills and am dedicated to following your pets daily/nightly routine. Lots of expirience with house sitting and making sure all animals are happy and healthy! Expirience with administering medication and bathing of pets :) I am a hard worker and very reliable, especially when it comes to caring for someone elses home or pets. Once booked, I can assure that I will be dedicated to keeping your animals as my number one priority. About: I am a responsible, nurturing and kind individual who loves all animals. I have owned small dogs, large dogs, a cat, aquatic pets, and taken care of many of my friends', family members' pets and been referred to many to care for their dogs and cats. In my last relationship I took full responsibility for three large dogs, one which was a rescue adopted as a puppy, (feeding, administering medications, training, exercise, bathing, grooming, vet visits) for about 5 years. I am currently working part-time and taking a break from school while I prepare to apply to a health profession program. This gives me a very open and flexible schedule, allowing me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs, including morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and overnight care. Because of my flexible availability, I can devote plenty of time and attention to your pet, ensuring they stay on their normal routine with regular walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and lots of love and companionship. I look forward to working with you and providing your pet with the compassionate, dependable care they deserve while you're away! I provide loving, reliable pet care in your home using your pet's own supplies to help keep their routine as normal as possible. I use the food, treats, toys, bedding, leashes, litter, medications, and any other pet essentials you provide, so I don't bring my own pet supplies. This helps your pet stay comfortable in their familiar environment while you're away. I live in a quiet, small neighborhood with about 0.75 acres of yard space and keep a clean, tidy home with plenty of room for pets to roam and relax. If boarding or daycare is arranged at my home, I will use any pet supplies you provide to maintain your pet's routine and comfort. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or mine, I'll follow your instructions closely and treat your pet like family, giving them plenty of attention, exercise, and affection.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Olympia
I am so happy that my neighbor recommended Dawn to care for our cat Keiko. She has been so amazing. Our cat is shy and never allows anyone to get close. In the past, anyone who tried to care for her could not get her to come out from her hiding place. Dawn was able to connect and make friends with her. I loved the daily photos, and the feedback that she was able to pet her. I will be happy to recommend Dawn to my friends when they need a wonderful sitter for their fur babies. Nicole and Jim

It's so nice to be able to totally trust Luna with my two Maine Coon cats. Her level of care along with her professionalism is exceptional. While I'm on vacation I get her photo/video updates. My cats always seem relaxed with her. When I get home from vacation I can see it around my house. The clean floor around their food dishes. The well kept litter box area. Well fed and happy cats. She's always sure to contact me with any updates. I would heartily recommend her to any potential clients. I'm happy to have her in my cat's lives.

Once again, Serenity and her partner were outstanding. Serenity is so attentive and keeps me updated throughout each and every visit. You can tell that they are animal lovers through and through! I've used Serenity and her partner three times now and will definitely be using them again in the future. I always leave feeling confident that my boys are in good hands.

Terra was great. She understood my cat needed space while I was away and adhered to all of my requests. I was not able to do a meet and greet and she stepped in without an issue by talking it over on the phone. She made me feel comfortable leaving my baby with her. I’d recommend her and hire her again.

Bianca took wonderful care of our two cats and kept us updated the whole time, which gave us real peace of mind. Everything was clean and calm when we returned, and it was clear our cats were comfortable and well cared for. We’d happily book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive sitter.
Kayla was so knowledgeable and helpful! She really put my anxious mind at ease while travelling away from my cat, Bella. She provided me with tips for caring for my pet, communicated exceptionally throughout the entire process, and went above and beyond by trimming Bella's nails and playing with her. She also has a great attitude! I would highly recommend her if you are a first time user on Rover or for any of your animal's needs.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:

- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
