“Sarah is very thorough and knows how to judge my puppy’s behavior due to her growing and teething. Sarah has wonderful calm demeanor and patience! Exactly what my little girl needs! Highly recommend Sarah!”

“Are vacation was made extra special, knowing our pets were in the caring hands of Jerry!! His checks in and out, and multiple pictures of every pot at every visit kept smiling and laughing. We could tell he took care to play with them to get them to do the crazy things he captured in the photos. Our vacation would not be the same without Jerry‘s help. Thank you so much for your care with our family Jerry.”

“Lydia was wonderful with my girls. They bark and intimidate some sitters, but she loved on them and took special care. She was also on-time for her visits. Very highly recommended.”

“Teresa did an awesome job watching our little zoo crew. Our bigger dogs seemed to really enjoy spending time with her and were happy and healthy when we got home. Unfortunately, our smaller dog seemed to have a hard time warming up (she’s never been away from us, so I’m not too surprised) but Teresa did what she could to accommodate her and help her feel cozy and safe. We would definitely recommend and would be happy to have her hang out with our crew again!”

“Kayleigh is amazing! She took great care of the pups during a long drop in making sure they were walked, fed, and played, and had extra patience getting our picky pup to finish his dinner when we usually can't get him to eat ourselves. We'll definitely use Kayleigh again!”

“Wynona jumped in to help us out when our regular sitter was unavailable. She was wonderful!! She was prompt, communicative, and helped looked after our home while we were gone. She went out of her way to visit an additional day when I had a delivery too. Super sweet, and thoughtful. She even came by ahead of time to learn the nuances. Highly recommend!”

“Codi took great care of our cats and became their new friend. We really appreciate the care she took playing with them and will definitely book with her in the future.”

“Exceptional service! Christy is friendly, educated, trusting, and everything you would want and need for your animal’s care. She visited our home every morning promptly. We were provided sweet notes and updates along the way, and pictures of interaction everyday. Christy helped with our packages and other little things, she truly went above and beyond. We will never board so long as we can have Christy back visiting our home!”

About: I moved from Mi to Wa in 2015 and decided in 2018 to be a dog walker. That was in King county and after moving to a house in 2021, dog boarding turned into my new side job. Last year I also enrolled in Victoria Stilwell’s Academy for positive training. So I am very aware of dog’s body language and needs. I absolutely love dogs and they are truly my life now but when I was 8 that wasn’t the case. I was bit in the face by a family friend’s dog. He was old and on medication, I startled him awake which led to him biting me. From this incident, I watched Victoria Stilwell on animal planet to get over my fear of bigger dogs and here I am today with a certification in dog training and starting my career with human’s best friend. My goal is for you and your dog to be as comfortable as possible. I only treat dogs/pets as I would want someone to treat mine (and believe me I am a high maintenance pet mom 😉) Dogs are my job. Whether it is boarding, sitting, or walking; this is what I do full time. Sometimes I do Instacart to get out a bit but will do that when my boyfriend is home. I am starting up my bath bomb business again so to have a companion working alongside with me is my ideal work day. My boyfriend works from home majority of the time, so there is always someone home. His kids do come over 50% of the week and are very kind and helpful with dogs that are boarding with me. They are 12 and 11 so they aren’t little kids. I have lick mats, Kong Gyro, and plenty of space for your dog to have fun at my house. My house is fenced in, we are updating the property all the time to make sure it is safe as possible. For larger dogs, I have a bell on a ziptie to put on your dog’s collar just so I can hear where they are at all times when I am outside with them. For smaller pups, I always go outside with them due to being in an open area so they are safe. I also have a 30’ leash that I can hook them to for extra safety. Inside, I make them as comfortable as possible. Whatever they like at home I try my best to provide at my house.
“Anne is fabulous! We had a last minute trip come up and she was thankfully available. We have booked and rebooked with Anne a few times. She’s so attentive to our cats and has excellent communication. Anne takes has taken the time to connect with our three cats. One is particularly shy and he are warming up to her which speak volumes. 10/10 recommend. Thank you, Anne!”

“Erika did a great job with our 7 cats! We have two seniors and three that need daily meds, including insulin, and Erika handled it all with ease. We also have a cat who is terrified of everyone, but she let Erika pet het! AMAZING! The cats were happy when we came home, which makes us happy!”

“I love love love Jennifer and so does my dog! She’s always so excited to see her (and vice versa lol) My second time booking her and I will continue to do so until she’s no longer available! I tend to be poor at planning and make a lot of last minute plans and so far Jennifer has always been available to me last minute which I hugely appreciate!”

“Erica is the best! She went above and beyond caring for my little guy while I was away. I really appreciated all of the updates and pictures she provided. Felt comforted being away and I know my kitty got the best care! Book with her!”

About: I have a 9 year old golden retriever, a 9 year old German Shepherd and a 9 month old Belgian Malinois puppy of my own and have many years of experience caring for friends and family’s animals as well. I have experience working with up to 15 dogs in a dog day care outdoor play setting as well!! I love all animals! I love to get out of the house and take my own dog out for walks, trips to the lake and hikes! I work very well with dogs and all animals, it brings me happiness to be able to take care of them. I am more than willing to take your dog out for long walks, throw a ball for them and make sure they get all their energy out! I am comfortable with all breeds and do best with small-medium sized dogs, although I am willing to care for larger dogs as needed. I have plenty of experience with animals and would love to be able to help you out! I am currently working part time so I have plenty of time to help your pups get all their energy out! I am available most days after 1 pm, but my schedule is very flexible! My dogs are able to be out loose in my apartment when I am gone, but I have experience with crating them while I am gone. I want to make sure it is a positive experience for the pups so whatever the owner and dog are most comfortable with is what works for me :)
“Ashlyn is amazing! We had never left our dog with someone we didn’t know. Ashlyn made us feel comfortable and showed our fur baby the love you would hope from a caregiver! 10 stars all the way around!”

“Our Bloodhounds take a min to warm up to others while we are away. Dawn and her husband are very calm and patient with them and they warm up quick. Was nice to go out of town for a week knowing they were well taken care of with daily updates and pics! Highly recommend!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Purdy. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
