About: I grew up with dogs and have been around animals my entire life. As a teenager, I worked at a local dog kennel where I walked dogs, cleaned kennels, assisted the groomer, and helped care for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’ve also owned both indoor and outdoor cats and understand that every cat has its own routine and personality. Over the years, I’ve regularly cared for the pets of friends, family, and neighbors, providing walks, feeding, playtime, litter box cleaning, medications when needed, and plenty of love and attention. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets. I’ll treat them as if they were my own, making sure they’re safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and happy to send updates and photos after every visit. I currently have daytime and evening availability and can be flexible to meet your pet’s routine. As a mom of two middle school boys, I’m organized and dependable, and I plan my schedule around my family’s activities. Whether your pet needs a midday walk, dinner, playtime, or a check-in while you’re away, I’ll arrive on time and provide the care and attention they deserve. I provide care in your home, where your pets are most comfortable and can stay on their normal routine. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, whether that’s feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, medications, or litter box cleaning. I understand that every pet is different, and I’ll treat your home and your pets with the same care and respect I would my own. You’ll always receive updates and photos after each visit so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Kim is absolutely wonderful, I can’t recommend her enough! She is flexible, conscientious, kind, and really cared about my quirky dog. Her communication and updates are excellent. She is incredibly reliable and I never worried about Daisy for a second while Kim was taking care of her (and I worry about everything). I was always confident that Daisy would be safe and happy, because Kim goes above and beyond to ensure that. When my dog hurt her back a day before a housesitting visit and required meds, Kim was unfazed and helped Daisy make a full recovery. She also takes the best pictures, which were such a treat to get while I was out!

Ella was the absolute best! It takes a special person to make my Akita puppy feel comfortable and Ella did just that. She took care of him as his own and made me feel so comfortable while I was away. I was able to be at ease knowing she was talking care of my puppy carefully. 100% would recommend Ella to anyone and will Ella's services whenever I can. Thank you again Ella 💓

About: Hi, I’m Elena! I’m a recent Princeton grad moving back to Philly and hoping to fill my life with as much quality pet time as I pursue a career in arts administration! I grew up with a fluffy orange scaredy cat and an anxious dog with some leash aggression, trained on positive reinforcement, so I know how to handle pets with different personalities and needs. I can’t wait to meet your pets! I'm pretty wide open! Because I'm currently applying for work, I have effectively no commitments and can be available when needed and with little warning. I follow positive reinforcement training methodology but know how to work around treat access or different styles. You know your animal better than anyone, and so I will defer to you on what your pet needs!

Abigail was absolutely wonderful! She arrived exactly as discussed and immediately gave us peace of mind knowing our little guy was in great hands. I especially appreciated that she has experience with Chihuahuas and understands their little quirks and specific needs. She knew that Chihuahuas typically aren’t fans of the rain, so she actually planned ahead and made sure to come before the rain started so he could get his walk in comfortably. That level of thoughtfulness really stood out to us! She even went above and beyond by bringing in our Amazon packages that were delivered while we were away. It’s those little extra touches that make such a difference. Abigail is reliable, attentive, thoughtful, and clearly genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after. We would absolutely recommend her and will happily use her again! 🐾❤️

About: I have been taking care of dogs for as long as I can remember! My family didn’t have any pets growing up but I have always loved them so much and have been pet sitting and dog walking all my friends and family’s pets since middle school. I am currently working part time so I have a lot of availability for drop ins, dog walks, or house sitting when needed! I am also flexible and can accept last minute bookings. Don’t hesitate to reach out I’m excited to meet your pups🌟 I am at home for the summer and only have a part time job so I have plenty of time to walk and care for your pets! About: I love furry friends! I’ve taken care of friends’ and relatives dogs and cats since college. I am happy to help you fulfill any of your pets’ needs! I am a teacher during the school year, so I bring patience, reliability, and enthusiasm to pet care. I’m a full time teacher during the school year, so in the summer I have plenty of availability on weekdays mornings, daytime, and evenings. I am also available for pet sitting or walking many weekends. I respect your home by closely following your pet care instructions including any special diet or behavior needs. I have also gone through no harm dog training with my dog, so I am fully at ease dealing with dogs that range from chill to anxious or reactive. As for cats, I am an introvert who is good at reading animal body language, so I will make sure to treat them with care while giving them their personal space.

We couldn't be happier with Mr. Hong! He kindly stopped by to meet our dog, Sengay, before the booked dates to make sure it was a good fit, and they instantly connected. He gave us complete peace of mind by sending wonderful pictures while they were out walking and after getting Sengay safely back inside. I highly recommend him and would definitely hire him again

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
