About: I’ve been around many types of animals all my life including exotic, farm animals, and house pets like cats and dogs. I love them all equally and would be happy to care for any pet! I currently work full time but typically have 3 days off a week. I will be going back to school in the fall but will still have availability. While I cannot currently look after pets in my own home, I am happy to accommodate most needs for any animal in their own home.

About: I have returned to school to earn my PhD as an adult in my 30s, which means I have both many years of experience with animals and significant flexibility to help out as your schedule requires. I have spent my whole life around animals - I grew up in a house with two cats, a dog (chow chow), and a multitude of fish; I worked for a stint on a farm as a teenager; and as an adult I have two sweet cats! I have been pet sitting for family and friends since I was young, most recently caring for a variety of cats and dogs for friends during work travel, vacations, and weddings. As a PhD student, my schedule is very flexible, and I always welcome study breaks to hang out with your furry friends! I am available mornings, afternoons, and evenings, including during weekdays and normal business hours. I have experience giving medications, navigating allergies, and working with pets of all life stages. I also have a knack for befriending shy pets, especially nervous cats!

Kim is extremely reliable, and always a bright spot in Freddie’s day! She accommodated him when he wanted to walk farther, shortened up the distance when he wasn’t so eager to walk, and even would carry him around, knowing that was what he wanted. I highly recommend Kim!

About: I have loved animals my entire life and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Whether it’s an energetic puppy or a senior dog that needs extra patience and care, I am attentive to each dog’s individual needs and know how to read their behavior to make them feel comfortable and safe. I helped train my dog, Moose, and have also cared for my family’s dogs through dog sitting and walking. What sets me apart is the genuine joy I get from bonding with animals. I truly love spending time with dogs and creating a positive, caring environment where they feel happy, comfortable, and loved. I am currently home for a few months before moving to start my full time job, so I have a very flexible schedule. I am available most days with a bit of notice and can accommodate early mornings, evenings, or late nights depending on what works best for you and your pet! I provide attentive and safe care for pets both at home and in clients homes. At home, my dog has a fenced in backyard for exercise and play, and I always supervise him while he is outside. On walks, I use a harness because it is safest and most comfortable option for his walking style. I always pay close attention to a pet’s behavior, comfort, and safety during walks and visits.

Tbh I was hesitant to allow a man into my house, but I’m really glad I took a chance on Hon. Truly a Godsend. Detailed daily reports that reflect a genuine caring for my doggy, and wonderful photos that helped my family to remain connected with our good boy while we were away for nearly two weeks. Hon’s help allowed me to actually relax on my vacation because I knew Woody was in good hands. Thanks, Hon!! Hope to see you again.

About: I have taken care of neighbor's cats since I was 12, providing meals, medicine and love. I have had my own dog for 9 years who I also care for. I volunteered at SAVE animal shelter for 3 years taking care of cats. I just graduated high school so I am free this entire summer before I leave for college in the beginning of September 2026. I work at the YMCA on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4-7 but am free the rest of the week. I can easily take care of the pet in my clients home. I have experience doing so; cleaning litter boxes, taking care of the house, cleaning up messes, and more. I can water plants or provide any other house services while the owners are away.

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals my whole life, especially dogs. My family has always loved and cared for them deeply, and being around dogs has always felt natural to me. I carry that same love in my heart, every dog deserves kindness, respect, and a life full of love. They give nothing but adoration, and I want to reflect that back to them. What I enjoy most is seeing each dog’s unique personality and getting to connect with them in their own special way. Spending time with dogs is always exciting, comforting, and genuinely one of my favorite things to do. I have online classes from 6–9 p.m., so I have plenty of time during the day and on weekends to care for your pets! Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping them company, I’m happy to adjust to their routine. Your pets will always get the love, attention, and care they deserve while you’re away. My home is calm, safe, and full of love for animals. I always take time to learn each pet’s personality and comfort level so they feel relaxed and cared for. I’m experienced with senior pets and medications, and I make sure every animal, whether shy or social, feels secure, respected, and happy in my care.

I am so grateful to have found Jessica as a dog walker for my pit mix (Maple) and my chihuahua mix (Chia). You can tell that she really cares and is a true animal lover. Anything that I have told her about them (their training, what is best for them, and what they prefer, etc) has been taken into consideration and applied. Thank you Jessica for being so thoughtful and caring. They are so happy when I come home from work!

Amy is very thoughtful, attentive, and caring towards our dogs! We have two pitties who are active and playful. One of our pups required a slow introduction and Amy was so great with it and after a giving her some space initially, our pup warmed right up to her. Amy was communicative and let us know how the dogs were on the visit and throughout the walk. We will definitely book with her again!

  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
