“Chandar and his family are like a second home and family to Ruth. They truly love dogs and care for Ruth as if she’s their own (she’s already had 3 stays with them). And Ruth loves them, too!! They are so good to her and spoil her with belly rubs and miles-long sunrise and sunset walks. Chandar sends professional grade photos of Ruth with beautiful, artistic, and often charming backdrops (e.g., a hot air balloon, Princeton campus, dog zodiac statute). Chandar’s family is so welcoming, warm, and kind and it’s always a pleasure to see them when we drop off or pick up Ruth. They have also been incredibly accommodating, welcoming Ruth on short notice or letting her stay late. So happy that we met them!”

“Once again, we could not be happier with our boarding experience with Mr. Tao. Being away on vacation, it is such a relief to get regular updates on our dogs along with pictures of them having a great time. Mr. Tao and his family take excellent care of our dogs and are excellent at communicating regularly. The dogs seemed so relaxed when we picked them up which tells us that they had a vacation of their own and were very well take care of. Thank you Mr. Tao!!”

“Elliot had a wonderful stay with Thana and Subangi who were very good hosts. We really appreciated the frequent photos being sent and it is clear that they are very much dog lovers. Would definitely recommend them.”

“Jolanta was so great with our pup Franklin! She was great with communication. She played with him & sent pics. We look forward to having Jolanta care for him again!”

“Julianna was great with our dog. She kept was updated and also sent us pictures of our dog. She responded quickly to our message which was nice of her. Will definitely recommend her to others and definitely book her again as well”

“Megan (and Jay) were just simply awesome. They took great care of Apollo, who needs medication and is a picky eater. Megan sent pics and video updates every day which got shared with the family while on vacation. Everyone looked for the daily Apollo update. They did a great job with Apollo and recommended some food choices for him. Apollo did well with them, which was great since he rarely has been left with someone outside of the family. We will definitely trust them to watch Apollo again. Many Thanks to this outstanding dog sitting couple.”

“Catherine was extremely attentive and caring for our Mabel! She came back super excited and very well-cared for. Catherine is a great choice, especially if your dog tends to be more comfortable in a setting without other dogs!”

“Macaulay was great. She was responsive and available when needed. She provided updates without prompting, and most importantly, Brodee loved her! Would definitely book again when in the area.”

“Noria continues to be the best pet sitter and dog walker we have had. Nala ( my dog) really loves her and I am comfortable going away and leaving my dog in her care knowing that Noria is very trustworthy, caring and reliable!”

“I can't say enough good things about Rachel! Leaving my fur baby, Lucy, was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but Rachel made it so much easier. She sent daily updates and pictures, so I could see Lucy’s sweet face and know she was in good hands. Rachel was incredibly attentive and caring, and it's clear she loves animals just as much as I do. When I picked Lucy up, she was beaming with joy and looked like she'd been well taken care of. I was so impressed with how Rachel had followed her routine and given her all the snuggles and love she needed. I highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you, Rachel, for making my trip so much less stressful and for being an amazing caregiver to my little girl!”

“I adopted my dog Nomi at the end of 2025 and knew I had a lot of rehabilitation ahead of us since she is highly fearful and skittish. Nomi came from a hoarding house in Puerto Rico where 100 animals were removed from the property. I learned about Carly during a search on Rover and was pleasantly surprised when I discovered we both love mixed breed dogs from PR. Today was the first day since Nomi's adoption that she stayed with anyone other than myself. I decided on a half day of daycare and was thrilled with how well Nomi did with Carly, her family and dog Naia. I received photos and updates during the day which put my mind at ease. I felt a sense of trust almost immediately. I will definitely be asking Carly to watch Nomi again. Thank you so much Carly! 😊🐶”

About: I provide dependable, loving care tailored to each pet’s unique personality and routine. As a graduate student at Princeton Theological Seminary, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to make pet care a consistent part of my daily routine. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. In your home, I’ll carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, and household rules. I’ll provide attentive care, keep your home secure, and send regular updates so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and loved.

“Namrata is great in taking care of my Bichon. She sent me picture every day and updates me on my dog's status. My dog usually does not eat at stranger's place, but at her house, she ate everything and slept well. My dog was able to cuddle with them and play with them everyday. I feel that my dog had a vacation while I was one vacation. Namrata is the person to go to for dog sit while I am away. Thanks for the great service.”

About: I’ve been taking care of my own pup for over 6 years! I’ve got familiarity with crate-training and teaching them new tricks. For chill dogs, I’m more than happy just hanging out on a couch watching tv together. And for more active pups, I love to long distance run and am very comfortable jogging with dogs up to 70 lbs. I currently work remotely 3-4 days a week, and with a pretty flexible schedule. Barring the occasional mandatory meeting, I work my own hours so there’s plenty of time to spend with your pup. Hi, I'm Karan! When I lived in Jersey City, my brother, his wife, and I shared a dog named Luna. We raised her together for a little under 7 years, and got her when she was 9 months old. She was part of my everyday life: morning walks, couch time, and teaching her new tricks! When I moved out, we decided she'd stay with my brother. She bonded with him, and he was moving into a new home with his wife and soon-to-be son. It was the right call, but I really miss having a furry friend around. My schedule doesn't allow for a dog of my own right now, and that's a big part of why I'm on Rover! Rover lets me give our furry friends the love and care they deserve while you're away, and it keeps animals in my life. I'll treat your dog the way I'd want someone to treat Luna! With patience, affection, and lots of head scratches. For boarding: Your pup will have plenty of room to stretch out at my place. I live in a spacious four-bedroom apartment with a balcony, and there's a dog park and lots of grass right outside, so potty breaks and playtime are only steps away. For longer walks, there's a much bigger park a few miles away that's great for exploring. For house-sitting: I work remotely most days, and I'm happy to work from your home if you'd like. I'll follow their usual feeding and walk schedule, and give you regular updates on their mood, how walks went, and all other info you’d like!
“My hubby is working in the area. I flew in from GA to visit him, so that we could drive to Canada to celebrate our 10th anniversary. He travels with our dog and we needed a safe home away from home while we travel. Ivelisse was great with our fur baby! Love had just been diagnosed with a UTI and she was very attentive, even giving us helpful recommendations on how to prevent further ones. She sent regular updates and we could tell that Love enjoyed the stay as well. We are thankful that Ivelisse was able to accommodate us on such short notice. Thanks for treating our dog like family! We definitely recommend her and would use her again!”

“Karen was very kind and responsive and most importantly great with Dobby! I appreciated her updates and pictures to let me know Dobby was doing well. Would definitely recommend her!”

I highly recommend Darin and McKenna as pet sitter! Our two dogs just spent a week at their place, and it truly felt like they were on their own luxury vacation. From the start, Darin and McKenna were incredibly attentive to every detail and specific need our pups had. They didn’t just "watch" our dogs; they genuinely befriended them and invested a lot of personalized time and affection into making them feel at home. What impressed us most was their dedication during a particularly tough week of heavy snow. Despite the weather challenges, they remained completely unfazed and stayed "up to the task," ensuring our dogs were safe, pampered, and happy throughout the storms. If you are looking for sitters who are responsible, caring, and go the extra mile, Darin and McKenna are the best choice. Our dogs can’t wait to go back!

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
