“Donna was great, very knowledgeable and professional. Very good about giving me feedback regarding Bella. Bella is not used to being with other dogs, but Donna knew just how to help Bella adjust to the situation. Bella was there for 10 days and she did great. I would not hesitate to use Donna again.”

About: I have been a dog walker for my neighbor for 5 years. I have experienced in pet sitting small and big dogs, as well as puppies and senior dogs. In my free time I walk senior dogs from a shelter. Over these years and with all my experiences, I have learned dog expressions and warning signs which help me to prevent dogs from any triggering behavior. I’m am a college student and work a weekend job. During the week after classes I have free time to dog walk. I keep my calendar updated regularly for any days where I might not be available throughout the week. I live in an apartment, which is why I choose only small to medium sized dogs to board. I have a large yard that is fenced except for the driveway entrance, for your pets safety I only take dogs into the yard with a leash and as always constant supervision.
“I cannot recommend this amazing dog sitter in Pendik enough! From the moment I entrusted my furry friend to their care, I knew I made the right choice. They were incredibly gentle and caring, ensuring my dog felt comfortable and loved throughout the stay. What truly impressed me was their commitment to keeping me updated; I received regular messages, along with adorable pictures and videos that made my day! It was clear that my pup was in excellent hands. This won’t be the first time, and it certainly won’t be the last time she will be dog sitting my dog again. Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience for both me and my dog.”

“Gabby is the best! Gabby sent several texts and photos throughout the day. Hunter had a great time. No doubtime that I will continue with Gabby, she is now considered family. ”

“Petunia ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️‘S Carlos Andrés. I wish you all could see how she runs to him when we drop her off. It is so sweet. They have a genuine love for each other. Best sitter EVER!”

About: I was raised with dogs from the time I was born, and our home was always full of animals — be it bunnies, turtles, hamsters or parrots! I’m now a proud pet mom to two cats, Tortellini and Simone, and one pup, Frankie. I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, patient, and attentive to care for your pets while you’re away. My pup, Frankie, is always happy to make new furry friends, and I love making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet needs feeding, walks, playtime, litter box care, medication reminders, or just extra love and companionship, I’ll treat them like part of my own family. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine because I’m a researcher who works from home, so my schedule is flexible throughout the week. I’m available for weekday care, weekends, drop-ins, walks, and overnight stays. Since I spend a lot of time at home, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, and consistency. I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I currently offer care in my client’s home, where pets can stay comfortable in their own familiar environment. I’m very respectful of each home and each pet’s routine, and I’m happy to follow detailed instructions for feeding, walks, litter box care, playtime, medications, and any special needs. I’m also comfortable managing different household setups, including keeping pets separated when needed, handling multi-pet homes, monitoring doors/gates carefully, and making sure each pet feels safe, calm, and cared for.
“Kathryn was great! Very kind and easy going and very good to Lightning. He had a lot of fun playing with the other dogs - she knew how to introduce them. Lovely family too. Thank you so much Kathryn!!! Will definitely book again.”

“Ellen was amazing! It was our first time boarding our labradoodle, Oliver, with a pet sitter and we couldn’t be happier. She was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and considerate. Ellen kept us informed during his stay by sending us pictures and comments about his behavior. He had plenty of space to inside and out to roam around, play with the other dogs, or just chill (his favorite pastime.) We definitely recommend her.”

“Apryl was so kinda to help us out in a very last minute pinch! She was very responsive and easy to communicate with! She had a great yard and home set-up for overnight doggy guests and our pup loved the one-on-one attention she got from Apryl. When it was time to pick our pup up she didn’t want to leave! We would definitely book Apryl again!”

“Cassandra has watched my dog, Rosie, several times now over the past few years and I count myself lucky to have found her! Cassandra is very communicative and accommodating. She sends pictures and updates throughout the booking and Rosie always comes back happy and without any issues.”

“My dog is very anxious with strangers and new settings, but Alejandro was very understanding and patient with her. I deeply appreciate him taking care of her and her specific needs.”

“John (Jay) took wonderful care of my senior male boxer Gunnar! He really made my trip so much more enjoyable because of all the daily updates and pictures! My mind was at ease! Gunnar doesn’t spend a lot of time away from home, practically none, but now I feel very that he did so well with John and found his home away from home! Thank you so much!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes since I was a kid. I’ve trained 3 dogs and am currently working on training the puppy I currently own. I am also able to take care of senior animals based on their individual needs. I work and live on campus at Stevens Institute of Technology, and my job is extremely flexible to where I can take care of my animals at any time of the day. So making sure animals are taken care of is not a problem. I live in an apartment so I walk my dogs through the city of Hoboken and am able to take them to any dog parks in the area. I am also able to crate small dogs if necessary.
“This is the second time my dog has stayed with Antonia, and she absolutely loves it there! I always get lots of pictures and updates, and I know she’s being well cared for. Every time I pick her up, she never wants to leave. Highly recommend! 🐾❤️”

Marla was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Hachi. She cared for him for six days and treated him like one of her own. Her home is cozy, her yard is spacious, and Hachi felt completely comfortable from the moment he arrived. Marla is incredibly sweet, attentive, and clearly loves dogs. We’re very grateful for the love and care she gave Hachi and would happily book with her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
