About: I offer doggy day care in a safe, loving home with a large fenced-in yard for plenty of supervised play and exercise. I have experience caring for shy dogs, puppies, and senior dogs, so I understand that every pup has different needs, energy levels, and comfort zones. About: I have 2.5 years of experience working as a veterinarian assistant for a family-owned and operated animal hospital. Aspects of my job include restraining, handling, medicating, feeding, grooming, bathing, and caring for any pets who may board with us at the hospital. I have comfortably handled dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, needs, and temperaments, and I am confident in my ability to care for dogs of all life stages. My schedule is extremely flexible and I am never away from home for more than four hours any day of the week, which means plenty of time for potty breaks, playtime, and feedings. I have a fully enclosed, insulated, temperature controlled, spacious gazebo on my property surrounded by a pet-proof fenced-in playpen. The inside is divided into four sections, so I can board up to four dogs no bigger than 40lbs at one time, and each pet will have his or her own space indoors for eating and sleeping. Outside, the pets will be able to interact and play, and they will always be supervised.

“Having just moved to Long Island, my husband and I were in search of a reliable dog sitter for our dog, Kilo. We always had friends watch him in Miami, and were a bit nervous leaving Kilo with a stranger for 3 nights. Initially, we checked out some kennels in the area, and found them quite depressing. That led us to look on Rover, and Daniel's profile came up first. I reached out to Daniel to inquire about booking with him, and within minutes Daniel had responded and we set up a meet and greet for later that night. I stopped by with Kilo to see Daniel's set up/house. I could immediately tell that he was a dog person and was going to treat my dog as his own! I was nervous because Kilo can be a little territorial with other large males, but Daniel reassured me that everything would be fine. I dropped Kilo off later that week for his stay with Daniel and his family. Daniel sent pictures of Kilo playing outside and responded to any questions/concerns I had about Kilo during his stay. I felt totally confident that my dog was in good hands at his house. Daniel and his family will definitely be my dog people on the island! I absolutely recommend their services. I've already booked Kilo's next stay, and I also look forward to dropping Kilo off every once in a while for day care services just so he can run around and play with other dogs in a safe environment!”

About: In addition to my own family dog growing up, I've taken care of my own two dogs for five years! Living in Port Jefferson has only increased my appreciation for neighborhood pups - it is an instant mood boost to see other dogs out and about. After an incredible year of receiving care from Rover ourselves, we are opening our home to take the best weekend care of your pup while you are away! I am an extremely organized person, ready for the details to best take care of your furball. -(Danielle, with help from partner Zach) On weekends, my partner and I are home all day to provide the best care and exercise for your pup! We walk our own dogs every 2-3 hours, and can adjust to the schedule that your pup needs for exercise and feeding. Additional availability during the week especially over winter break! With two friendly dogs of our own, we NEVER leave the dogs unattended. One or both of us will be present at all times. Dogs are happily allowed on furniture, but there are plenty of soft dog beds available for snoozing as well.

About: I have been a dog walker for my neighbor for 5 years. I have experienced in pet sitting small and big dogs, as well as puppies and senior dogs. In my free time I walk senior dogs from a shelter. Over these years and with all my experiences, I have learned dog expressions and warning signs which help me to prevent dogs from any triggering behavior. I’m am a college student and work a weekend job. During the week after classes I have free time to dog walk. I keep my calendar updated regularly for any days where I might not be available throughout the week. I live in an apartment, which is why I choose only small to medium sized dogs to board. I have a large yard that is fenced except for the driveway entrance, for your pets safety I only take dogs into the yard with a leash and as always constant supervision.
