“Yin was awesome! She came on time, fed my puppy, took him outside, cleaned up his messes, and washed his food bowl. She showed care and attention. She went above and beyond what I could have imagined. She communicated effectively and kept me informed. I will definitely book with her again.”

“Hon was a fantastic sitter and provided exceptional care for our two cats while we were away. Our cats can be pretty timid but warmed up to him immediately. Not only did Hon make sure both cats were fed on time and their litter boxes were clean, but he also took time to play with each of them and generally left the house better than he found it. Overall a great experience. We will be reaching out to him again for our next trip.”

“Pam did a great job of taking care of our dog Willow. She kept in touch with us and we were totally able to relax and enjoy our visit with family knowing Willow was in good hands.”

“My kitty was very happy when Megan came. She kept us update with pictures and messages. We were able to enjoy our trip knowing our little guy was being taken care of.”

“A great introduction to my new sweet kitty! Rebecca found ways to keep her busy and sent beautiful pics too! As a first time user of Robert services, I couldn’t be happier!”

About: Hi! I'm Kevin and I am an experienced dog owner who loves taking care of dogs. I have a fenced-in yard for long play times with our friendly husky host and the other guests at our Doggy B&B. I am nestled in a quiet and safe neighborhood. My availability is very flexible for both overnight and daycare as well as drop-off and pick-up times. For your convenience, I’m only 30 minutes away from Newark Airport. I have over 5 years of experience caring for our friends and families pets. During your baby's stay, they will be cared for like our own; I have a five-year-old Siberian Husky named Winter. We are a dog loving family, and someone will always be home with the dogs. I have soft doggy beds for everyone so your dog will have a luxurious night’s sleep. I'll send daily pictures and videos for you while you're away, so you know your dog is doing well. Please note that dogs aren't allowed on the furniture in our house and we do not take unneutered/unspayed dogs (no exceptions). Dogs must be house trained without accidents, flea protected and vaccinated for the health of all dogs who visit. I can't wait to enjoy your dog's company and look forward to hosting your dog! I’m working from home full time, as is my sister and dad, so someone will always be at home to take care of your dogs and we’ll have plenty of time to play with them. We’re available for boarding and day care 7 days a week. We have a fenced yard and a friendly husky named Winter to play with your dogs, fenced yard with plenty of space to play, and soft dog beds for nap time. Our family loves dogs so they will be loved and petted and played with, and taken out for walks.
“Hiral was prompt in checking in and out during her drop-in visits, and communicated her concerns about my pet in a clear and timely manner (my dog would not go potty, and we texted to reach a solution together). I would recommend her services to anyone!”

“Sha was a really great pet sitter for Kulfi. It was easy to communicate with her even during the midst of the holidays which are a very busy time, and everything went really smoothly. Thank you so much!”

“Easy to communicate with. Showed up each day. On time. Seemed to spend the full time with my cat. Was dependent and reliable and seemingly kind to my cat (which is most important). Would recommend.”
“Stacey is fantastic with cats and I was comfortable from the start leaving my cats in her expert care. She is experienced with medication which was so important for my one cat who has started taking several medications. She sent daily photos and let me know how they were doing during each visit.”
“Frida was great! She watched our cats for over a week, they tend to be shy but warmed up to her and let her pet and play with them by the end. We appreciated the updates and photos she shared as well :)”

“Wilson was a great pet sitter. He sent pictures of my pets everyday and documented everything through the app. He spent time with them a swell which i really appreciated. I will definitely rebook with him in the future.”

“Brooke was wonderful! She kept me updated on my guy with pics, and details for each visit. Atlas even had some unexpected diarrhea and Brooke was kind enough to make some rice and mix it in with his breakfast. My guy is busy with a lot of Big Puppy Energy and this didn't seem to pose a problem at all. I will definitely book Brooke again.”

About: What really sets me apart is the amount of hands-on experience I’ve had with cats over the years. I’ve fostered so many cats—everything from tiny kittens to older adults—and I’ve helped several of them find loving forever homes. I’ve also taken care of sick cats, so I’m comfortable giving basic medications and paying close attention to any changes in their behavior. I’ve had two cats of my own in the past, so I fully understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone. I’m very patient, gentle, and genuinely love being around cats. Whether it’s keeping their litter box extra clean, sticking to their routines, or just giving them comfort and attention, I always treat every cat like they’re my own. I currently work in a hybrid setup. I’m remote on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, which gives me a lot of flexibility on those days, as well as on weekends For cats, I provide full access to my home in a calm, safe, and comfortable environment where they can relax and explore at their own pace. I have a kitten of my own who is very friendly, affectionate, and gets along well with other pets. I understand that every cat has its own routine and preferences, so I’m happy to learn and follow any specific instructions to ensure your cat feels at ease. My goal is to give them a comfortable stay while giving you peace of mind knowing they’re well cared for. Since I know cats can take time to adjust to new environments, your cat will have a private room initially to settle in. Gradual introductions will be done thoughtfully, even if they are typically friendly with other cats. I take hygiene, cleanliness, and safety very seriously. As a cat owner, it’s my top priority to maintain a clean, secure, and stress-free space for both my pets and your.

About: I’ve owned small, medium, and large sized dogs of many different breeds throughout my entire life. I have a magical connection with dogs. I care for every dog deeply and will provide attention, engagement, and exercise to your beloved pet! I have also owned special needs dogs, so I know the care and tenderness needed to ensure they are happy and comfortable. I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate your pets’ needs. I have a car and a bike, and can drive to your home anywhere around Davis, Woodland, Dixon, and parts of Sac I do not have a pet of my own currently, so I have the flexibility to be away from home for overnight visits. I am very responsible, punctual, and professional. I have 15 years of providing professional dog sitting and dog walking services, as well as car sitting, and pet boarding. I can also administer oral medications, groom, and wash your dog. I have a very flexible schedule all days of the week and weekends! I am a grad student, and my schedule is very light right now. When I care for pets for extended stays, I am actively engaging with the pets all the time. I stay home with them a lot so they don’t get lonely, take frequent walks, have lots of play time, respect their feeding and sleeping schedules, and most importantly have a ton of fun. I will make sure your dog has as much of a vacation (or staycation) as you do.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Pleasant Plains
Megan was awesome!! So attentive to my two kitties and their care, even going above and beyond to clean up when one of them decided to leave a throw up treat!! One kitty is shy and hides but Megan made sure she was ok and checked on her each day. Will definitely call on Megan again in the future.

We left our two cats for two weeks—the longest they’ve ever been alone—while we traveled across the country, and we were extremely nervous, especially because one of our cats is very anxious and deeply attached to humans. We found Purva through Rover on our first search, and calling her “sent from animal care heaven” would honestly be an understatement. From the initial meet-and-greet, Purva was warm, down-to-earth, and incredibly reassuring. Before leaving, I set up cameras around the house because we were worried about stress-related behaviors like inappropriate peeing or vomiting, particularly from our anxious cat. Somehow, during those two weeks, our cats seemed happier than when we’re actually home. They were consistently well-fed, the litter box was always clean, and although Purva was scheduled for 30-minute visits each day, she never left until every requested task was completed thoroughly and thoughtfully. Most impressively, our anxious cat—who typically urinates around the house when stressed—did not act out even once during the entire two weeks. That alone speaks volumes. I fully attribute this to Purva’s patience, attentiveness, and genuine care. She arrived on time every day and was even available for last-minute visits during an emergency, which gave us incredible peace of mind. We truly could not have asked for a better cat sitter. Purva exceeded every expectation, and we would trust her with our cats again without hesitation. And one more thing we absolutely loved was that Purva always attended the visits with a member of her family. Safety comes first above everything, and this meant so much to us. It gave us an extra level of comfort and peace of mind knowing she prioritized her own safety while caring for our home and our cats.

We hired Shivani to take care of our 2 cats once a day for 8 days and she did a wonderful job! We’re so relieved to see our cats all fed and taken care of while we were away. Thank you so much for the care and love you showed to our babies… we highly recommend her! ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
