About: Like any sitter on Rover, I have a deep love for animals, but what sets me apart is my experience caring for and advocating for pets who may be nervous, fearful, or reactive. I’ve been a proud owner of Maple for the past 8 years. She is a very nervous and fear-reactive Australian Cattle Dog/Jack Russell rescue, and over the years I’ve worked closely with her to help her feel more comfortable and confident. That has included training, medication, patience, and plenty of high-value treats! Living with Maple has taught me how important it is to understand a pet’s individual needs, recognize their body language and comfort levels, and never rush them into situations they aren’t ready for. I’m comfortable giving pets the time, space, and reassurance they need to feel safe and cared for. Whether your pet is outgoing and playful or needs a little extra patience and understanding, I’m committed to meeting them where they are and giving them the care they deserve. If your pet has a hard time on walks, I am perfectly comfortable handling these types of situations to ensure they get their walks stress free. Otherwise, all the more excited to work with you and your pets' needs. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of one-on-one attention. I’m generally available for visits between 6–11 AM on weekdays, as well as most hours on weekends. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine and can accommodate regular visits or occasional drop-ins. I’m also comfortable administering medications when needed, whether that means a pill hidden in a high-value treat or following specific instructions from you. My goal is to keep your pet’s routine as consistent and stress-free as possible while you’re away. When caring for a pet in their home, my first priority is making sure they feel safe and comfortable in their own space. I follow your instructions closely and do my best to keep their normal routine consistent—from feeding and walks to medications, playtime, and quiet time. I’m especially mindful of doors, gates, leashes, and other potential escape routes, and I never assume a pet is comfortable with something just because another pet might be. I pay attention to body language and let pets set the pace, especially when they’re shy, nervous, or reactive. My experience with Maple, my nervous and fear-reactive rescue, has taught me to be patient, observant, and proactive. I understand that building trust can take time, and I would much rather give a pet the space they need than push them beyond their comfort zone. I also know how important it is for owners to feel comfortable trusting someone in their home. I’ll treat your space with the same care and respect I give your pets, and I’ll keep you updated during visits so you know how your pet is doing.

I begin a new position as an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician on 6/22. Following this I will be available only weekends until I am fully trained. About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have experience with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities. I grew up in a home with Rottweilers, which taught me early on the importance of proper care, structure, and lots of love. Over the years, I’ve lived with rescue dogs and have also fostered dogs in the past, gaining experience helping dogs adjust to new environments and routines. Currently, I live in a home with a rescue St. Bernard and a Bernese Mountain Dog. While they aren’t my own dogs, I spend a large amount of my time caring for them, giving them plenty of attention, affection, and exercise. I’m very comfortable with large breeds as well as dogs who may need extra patience and understanding. I’ve worked with many breeds and mixes, including Rottweilers, Bernese Mountain Dogs, French Bulldogs, St. Bernard, Labs, Doodle mixes, Pomeranians, Boxers, and a Rhodesian Ridgeback. I understand that every dog is unique, and I always aim to provide care that meets each dog’s individual needs while making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy. I work part time as a yoga teacher and 3 days a week in a hospital setting. This allows me to have a flexible schedule on Mondays, Wednesdays, and weekend (when I am not at the hospital) for daytime visits to take your pets out on walks, stop in for potty breaks or afternoon lunch/snacks. I currently do not have any pets of my own which makes overnight stays to care for your pets easy. I will come to your home for to care for your pet and offer them the services you wish to have for them. Whether that be overnight stays, daytime dog walks, offering meals, or even just some outdoor playtime in your backyard.
