“Sabrina took EXCELLENT care of my fur babies! She went above and beyond to make sure they were fed and could go potty even in the middle of a thunderstorm! She kept in contact with me about my dogs and provided cute pics and updates! If you need someone to take care of your babies, look no further because she will do a great job!!!”

About: I have had animals my entire life and caring for them has always been a huge part of who I am. Over the years, I've cared for pets of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels-from high energy pups who need lots of playtime to older pets who prefer a slower pace and extra TLC. I'm well versed in basic pet first aid and always pay close attention to behavior, appetite, and overall well-being, so you can feel confident your pet is in safe capable hands. I know how important peace of mind is when you're away, and i take that responsibility seriously. At home, I have a very full (and very spoiled) house-one dog, two cats, and a guinea pig- so I'm used to managing different routines personalities and needs. Whether your pet needs long walks, playtime, or just someone to keep them company, I'll treat them like one of my own-with plenty of attention, care and extra belly rubs! This is currently my main focus so i have a completely open schedule to accommodate pet parents that may need me at all hours based on their needs I have access to several dog friendly parks and trails near my home as well as a crew cab truck so even the largest dogs can enjoy a ride. I also keep a dog seatbelt and pet friendly steps in the truck in case anyone needs a little extra hand getting in
“Rosemary is a great sitter, very reliable and attentive. She took good care of our dogs for a weekend while we were gone. I’ll recommend her to anyone that needs help with their dogs. 100%”

“Elke is absolutely amazing! She took such great care of our dog while we were away. She was communicative and punctual, sending regular updates, cute photos, and making sure our pup was happy, healthy, and loved. It’s clear she truly cares about animals and goes above and beyond to make both pets and owners feel at ease. I couldn’t ask for a better sitter, highly recommend!”

“Bri was absolutely fantastic! She was available on short notice, communicated quickly, and kept us updated with so many photos and messages that gave us total peace of mind. She even went above and beyond by helping with little extras like bringing in packages. The biggest surprise was our cat. He didn’t even come out once for our prior sitter (over a whole week!), but with Bri he was out every single day getting love and pets. That speaks volumes about how caring and trustworthy she is. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter… highly recommend!”

About: I have had a dog since I was 5, she is currently 15. I care for her greatly and will do anything to keep her happy and healthy. I would do the same for anyone else's pet while their owner is away. I am available while I am home from college all the time. I am willing to take care of an animal to the best of my abilities any time of the day. I follow the instructions given by the owner very well so the change does not harm the animal. I have a fenced in backyard and one medium sized female dog. If boarding at my home, the dog(s) would need to be good with female dogs. I will ensure the dog is very well taken care of while in my care.
“Jessica was amazing! She arrives on time and followed all my instructions to the T!! She even brought Kobee a toy that he won’t stop playing with. Can’t wait to book her again.”

There is a designated doggy park in my neighborhood along with my fenced yard. Pictures and videos will be sent multiple times throughout the day:) for added comfort pup parents may even FaceTime me to see how the pups are doing!
“Tiffany was great! The kitties didn't seem shy around her, and we knew they were in good hands. As first time Rover users we had concerns about letting someone into our home while we were gone, but she put us at ease quickly with the meet and greet visit.”

About: I am experienced, responsible, friendly and loved by pets of all ages. Get reliable pet sitting from someone who’s raised a Westie and wrangled puppies. I live and work locally in Lakeland. Available for midday walks and sitting evenings/weekends. I am happy to provide snuggles, walks, park trips, feeding and treats. I previously worked in a pet store providing care for puppies and I currently have a 12 year old Westie. She is very friendly & loves to play with other animals.
“Angie took care of our dogs as if they were her own. Our incredibly skittish rescue warmed to her almost immediately, which is an absolute first. Have no hesitations about booking Angie.”

“Really happy with Jodie! She was not only accommodating as far as schedule goes but also reliable. She worked hard to earn Cookie's trust -- not an easy thing to do -- and managed to get her to take treats from her in a matter of days. Quite an impressive feat! I highly recommend booking her and will have no hesitation using her services in the future.”

About: Hi, I’m Heather! Caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in the country, my family was always rescuing, rehabilitating, and nurturing animals of all kinds. Over the years I’ve cared for everything from dogs and cats to raccoons, deer, owls, crows, and many other animals in need. My love for animals has always been at the heart of who I am. As a pet owner myself, I understand that every pet is family. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to provide the same love, patience, and attention that you would give them yourself. That’s exactly the level of care I strive to provide. I also have experience caring for pets with medical needs. My own St. Bernard had required allergy treatments and medications, so I’m comfortable administering oral medications, injections, and insulin when needed. I’ve also cared for diabetic dogs that required daily insulin injections, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s individual care routine. While my experience hasn’t come from working in a veterinary clinic or boarding facility, it comes from years of hands-on care, rescuing animals, and loving pets with all kinds of personalities and needs. Whether your pet loves long walks, endless playtime, quiet companionship, or extra cuddles, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. My goal is simple: to care for your pets as if they were my own, so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing they’re in loving, dependable hands. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I am pretty flexible when it comes to availability! I am looking for both short term and long term schedules! I can board multiple days of week and I am pretty open on times during the day as well. I believe every pet is happiest when their normal routine is maintained, so I tailor my care to each pet’s individual needs and your instructions. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, their comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities. I provide plenty of love, attention, playtime, exercise, fresh food and water, potty breaks, and lots of affection. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality—whether they’re energetic and playful, shy and reserved, or simply enjoy quiet companionship. I also have experience administering medications, including oral medications and injections, when needed. For cats, I understand how important routine and a low-stress environment are. I keep litter boxes clean, provide enrichment through play, ensure they have fresh food and water, and give them space or affection based on their individual personalities. I also have experience with bathing, eye care for breeds that require extra attention, and gentle grooming. While you’re away, I know how reassuring updates can be, so I’m happy to send regular photos and messages so you can see how your furry family member is doing. My goal is for you to return home to a happy, healthy, and well-loved pet who has been cared for just like one of my own.
“Tamara did a fantastic job. She kept in constant contact during visits. Asked questions about my kitties peculiarities to make sure nothing was wrong and sent great pics.”

“Thank you Joshua. If you ever need superior care for your pups, then don't hesitate and book Joshua G! My pups were so well cared for they almost didn't care that I was home. Excellent communication and picture updates. 100% less stress on my dogs than boarding. Thank you again.”

“Sydney was absolutely amazing with my two cats this past weekend! From the moment we booked, she was communicative, professional, and clearly a true animal lover. She provided regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. One of my cats is very shy and usually keeps to herself, while the other is super lovable and craves attention. Sydney was great with both—patient and gentle with my shy cat, and affectionate and engaging with my social one. I highly recommend Sydney to anyone looking for a thoughtful and reliable cat sitter. I’ll definitely be booking her again!”

This was our second time booking with Bri, and once again - she was fantastic! She went above and beyond bringing packages in, keeping his food and litter area spotless, and even made an extra trip to give him pets because he was napping during her visit that day. We really appreciate how thoughtful and caring she is and will definitely continue booking with her!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Plant City. On Rover:

- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
