About: I am the son of a former vet tech and zookeeper. For as long as I can remember caring for animals of all kinds has been an ingrained mindset and part of my life. I have many years of sitting, fostering, and adopting animals of various species, age, temperament, and medical needs. About: Dogs and I understand each other. I've always gotten them and they've always gotten me. Maybe because I grew up with three mammoth Samoyeds and Malamutes, and shared my life with Max, my sweet Cavalier, until he passed. Beyond love and care, I'm good at training and socializing, and dogs respond to my calm, confident leadership. I once cared for a reactive dog who barked at everyone who came near her, and I was the only one who could get her to settle and listen. After a month with a young Portuguese Water Dog, her owners told me she moped after I left. But mostly I think dogs feel good around me because they sense I genuinely care about them. I believe dogs are here to teach us to love and I want every dog to experience great care. For me, good dog care starts with getting to know the dog and the people who love them. I think dogs feel safest when their sitter truly knows them. Before any stay, I like to meet you and your dog, take a short walk together, and learn the little things that make your dog feel at home. That's why every stay begins with a meet and greet. What I offer that's different: - Pick-up and drop-off for longer stays: For stays of a week or more, I'll pick up and drop off your dog anywhere within a 30 minute drive of Dalton, including Lenox, Stockbridge, and Great Barrington. One less thing to manage before your trip. My home is calm and quiet, with a large, fully fenced backyard on a peaceful street in Dalton. I work from home, so your dog has company through the day, plus walks, play, and plenty of affection. I follow your instructions to the letter so your dog's routine stays as close to home as possible, and you'll get photos and a quick update every day so you can relax and enjoy your trip. Also happy to reinforce any training your dog is working on like leash manners. How I work: Every new client starts with a meet and greet, about 30 minutes with a short walk together, so your dog and I can meet before the stay. It helps make sure we're a great match, and your dog arrives already knowing a friendly face. Boarding in my home is a great fit if your dog: Settles comfortably for stretches after the initial sniffing and cuddles to get used to a new space. I work from home so your dog will have plenty of companionship and attention from morning to evening. I usually walk dogs according to the schedule they are used to. In between, they can hang with me. IFeeding times will also coincide with your instructions. I'm an early riser so you are welcome to drop your dog off (with notice) as early as 7:30 am. I have a large three bedroom home with an huge fenced back yard on a quiet street near trails. It's single floor so no stairs for older dogs to contend with.

About: I waitress, have taken care of seniors and am a certified yoga instructor. I have had cats, dogs, chicks, fish, hamsters. I currently do not own any pets. Pets to me are precious friends who are to be taken care of like children. With full attention, support and love. I work from home so I am able to provide that kind of care. I work from home (virtually) and can accommodate boarding weekdays and weekends. I keep a clean and tidy home and have a gorgeous park very close by. Pet care fits in my routine as I used to have a cat until recently. I care for pets with respect and integrity. Showing them love and care. Keeping them and the area around them clean. Accommodating to their needs by always keeping an eye for out for them.

About: I've grown up with dogs & cats. I am very involved in rescuing & fostering & have plenty of experience with all sizes, ages, temperaments & am experienced with most medical issues/medicating regimens. My schedule for work is Monday- Friday 7:30-4 pm. I'm available from 5-10 pm weekdays for drop ins and walks. I have open availability for weekends to house sit, go on walks and do drop in visits. I am currently in the process of relocating to New Hampshire permanently. I work full time Monday through Friday and offer pet care on evenings during the weekday, and full time on weekends :) I'm experienced with providing care for difficult dogs and cats and have no issues being able to give medications.

About: Calm, quiet environment with a sitter who craves doggy time. My 12 year old black lab recently lost her fight with cancer. Not ready to bring home a new dog, but would love to care for your precious fur babies while you are away. I offer patience and attention to your canine's needs. I'm a human nurse but also experienced with dogs special needs such as insulin administration. I work Monday-Friday, Home on weekends. No young children. Available for walks, dog Parks (dog park with your approval), or hanging out in the yard secured on a 50 foot lead. Dogs are not left outside unattended. You're welcome to bring your pets favorite toy for us to use during their stay. Will try to keep them on your schedule for easy transition from home to sitter. I speak to animals as of they can respond. Days are better with happy pets! Friday drop-off at 5:30 pm. Sunday pick-up by 8:00pm. I have a large yard and a spacious house. Spend weekend around the house doing small projects, crafting or cleaning. It's a quiet, stress free household with a very flexible schedule. While I miss my own pet I'm looking to offer a love-centered environment similar to children visiting their favorite Aunties house.

About: I have been walking and caring for my own personal animals - 2 dogs, cat, bird, hamsters since I was 5 years old. I also have been dog sitting and walking for numerous neighbors and friends in the area. I work during the day a full-time job. I am available early in the morning and after 4:00pm during the week. I am available on the weekends anytime of the day. I have a fenced in backyard that my 4 year old Brittany Spaniel, Maggie loves to run around and play ball. It is completely fenced in so she can't get out. I love to be outside playing with my dog and bring her on 3+ walks a day around town and at the local park.

About: I have always had a pet dog and ever since I was a teenager, I’d dog-sit for family and neighbors. Since college, I’ve been pet-sitting ajd dog walking on a more professional level. I’ve babysat for a few hours, simply for a walk, but have also watched multiple high energy dogs for up to two weeks. I’ve cared for dogs under a year old and up to 13 years old. I’ve always loved dogs and find them very easy to get along with and care for no matter their size, age, or personality. I have also cared for kittens a few weeks old, senior cats, administering medication orally, grooming them if they have long hair etc. Cats have a very different energy than dogs but I enjoy taking care of them just as much as dogs. I am currently in between jobs so I have a lot of free time to care for other dogs, whether it is a short walk or a multi-hour play date, etc. I always follow whatever guidance I am provided by pet parents. This means if you are only comfortable with your dog on a leash or lead while in your yard, I strictly follow that. If there are specific commands to use, certain behavior to watch out for or discourage, particular toys or activities they enjoy, I always follow what information I am given and am always open and communicate well about any issues or concerns that might arise on my end.
