“I chose Matt because I had read his reviews and he lived up to the reputation! I think dogs are a good judge of character and she warmed up to him immediately upon his first visit to meet her. I had plans to leave the country and needed to feel like my pup was in good hands and well cared for. She has some special needs and Matt made sure she received the care she required. I loved the updates, pictures and videos Matt sent, all which helped me know she was happy and healthy. She even is jumping on people less! He somehow taught her to stop this annoying behavior and I need to find out how he did this!! I definitely would recommend him!”

“We asked Sophie to watch our dog Abby on very short notice after a loved one passed. Sophie came over the day before we had to leave to meet Abby and get acquainted with our space. She had a calm reassuring presence that seemed to make Abby at ease. Sophie kept us updated while we were away and was very flexible with her time making sure to provide Abby with the care she needed while we were gone. When we came home Abby was clearly well cared for and relaxed. The house was left clean and tidy and locked up to our instructions. We will definitely call Sophie again when we go out of town and need somebody to come watch our dog.”

About: I've taken care of many dogs for family and friends. I have been house and dog sitting regularly for the same family twice a year since 2007 and through word of mouth have picked up many more clients that would happily give a reference if requested. I feed fish and small pets and I'm happy to hang out with cats, spiders, and snakes too. I work full time for a very flexible boss, so getting home to let pets out on breaks and lunch isn't an issue. Once home for the day I tend not to leave so pets will be well cared for and I'll be very present for them. I don't trust letting any pet off leash while outside unless in a fenced in yard. I'm overprotective to a fault. I have sat on a kitchen floor for 45 minutes letting a dog bark at me while getting used to having me around.

About: I’ve lived with dogs all my life (I grew up with dachshunds!), and I love all animals. I have experience with cats, dogs, and even some with snakes and rodents. When it comes to dogs, I have experience raising puppies as well as working with reactive dogs, and I'm happy to work with you to provide whatever care your pet may need! I'm currently working part-time in a hybrid WFH position, and my availability tends to be quite flexible. I am often available during weekends and holidays. I have experience walking dogs using harnesses as well as collars (though I prefer a harness for my own dachshund, as I don't want to hurt her neck or spine!), and would love to know what your pet's needs are in order to provide the best care! Let me know of all your pet's dietary needs, training regimens, and preferences so I can work hard to make your pet feel happy and safe.
