About: Dogs and I understand each other. I've always gotten them and they've always gotten me. Maybe because I grew up with three mammoth Samoyeds and Malamutes, and shared my life with Max, my sweet Cavalier, until he passed. Beyond love and care, I'm good at training and socializing, and dogs respond to my calm, confident leadership. I once cared for a reactive dog who barked at everyone who came near her, and I was the only one who could get her to settle and listen. After a month with a young Portuguese Water Dog, her owners told me she moped after I left. But mostly I think dogs feel good around me because they sense I genuinely care about them. I believe dogs are here to teach us to love and I want every dog to experience great care. For me, good dog care starts with getting to know the dog and the people who love them. I think dogs feel safest when their sitter truly knows them. Before any stay, I like to meet you and your dog, take a short walk together, and learn the little things that make your dog feel at home. That's why every stay begins with a meet and greet. What I offer that's different: - Pick-up and drop-off for longer stays: For stays of a week or more, I'll pick up and drop off your dog anywhere within a 30 minute drive of Dalton, including Lenox, Stockbridge, and Great Barrington. One less thing to manage before your trip. My home is calm and quiet, with a large, fully fenced backyard on a peaceful street in Dalton. I work from home, so your dog has company through the day, plus walks, play, and plenty of affection. I follow your instructions to the letter so your dog's routine stays as close to home as possible, and you'll get photos and a quick update every day so you can relax and enjoy your trip. Also happy to reinforce any training your dog is working on like leash manners. How I work: Every new client starts with a meet and greet, about 30 minutes with a short walk together, so your dog and I can meet before the stay. It helps make sure we're a great match, and your dog arrives already knowing a friendly face. Boarding in my home is a great fit if your dog: Settles comfortably for stretches after the initial sniffing and cuddles to get used to a new space. I work from home so your dog will have plenty of companionship and attention from morning to evening. I usually walk dogs according to the schedule they are used to. In between, they can hang with me. IFeeding times will also coincide with your instructions. I'm an early riser so you are welcome to drop your dog off (with notice) as early as 7:30 am. I have a large three bedroom home with an huge fenced back yard on a quiet street near trails. It's single floor so no stairs for older dogs to contend with.

About: I'm a lover of play, exploration, rest, and relationship building -- with human and non-human creatures alike! I have 15+ years of experience tending to dogs of all sizes and temperaments, enjoy long walks as much as they do, and particularly enjoy sending photo updates to the families I sit for. I've been told I "play with dogs like they're [my] siblings" and that I'm both "a black cat and a golden retriever in spirit" -- all this to say, I get animals, and they get me. :) I'm currently working in a university counseling center, supporting students of all ages through the transitions of their lives. This is a typical 9-5 job (with one remote day/week coming Spring 2027) -- so I'd pair well with animals that can do okay on their own during work hours. I like to learn an animal's routines and do my best to replicate them during a sit, so as not to cause any anxious critter more stress. I have a good track record for reading an animal's body language and know when to give cuddles, when to give space, and when to know something's "off" that needs more serious attention.

About: I waitress, have taken care of seniors and am a certified yoga instructor. I have had cats, dogs, chicks, fish, hamsters. I currently do not own any pets. Pets to me are precious friends who are to be taken care of like children. With full attention, support and love. I work from home so I am able to provide that kind of care. I work from home (virtually) and can accommodate boarding weekdays and weekends. I keep a clean and tidy home and have a gorgeous park very close by. Pet care fits in my routine as I used to have a cat until recently. I care for pets with respect and integrity. Showing them love and care. Keeping them and the area around them clean. Accommodating to their needs by always keeping an eye for out for them.

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember. Walking, feeding, and bathing both dogs and cats. I consider my pets family members! All of my babies are rescues. I have trained my dog through the GoodPup app and he knows the commands sit, stay, lay down, up, paw, leave it, heal, touch, and find it. All my pets are given enrichment activities throughout the day. They’re also stimulated with play/exercise. I know dog and cat body language. I have worked with dogs that have seizure disorders and know how to administer medication to both cats and dogs. I’m work Monday to Friday with my weekends free and open. My work schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. I can take dogs for long walks, stimulate them through play, or with enrichment activities. I can administer medication if needed. For cats I can clean the litter box and stimulate them through play or enrichment activities. I can administer medication if needed. Pet safety is my first priority. I believe knowing pet body language is so important because that’s how they communicate their needs. I will care for your love ones as if they were my own! I will follow your schedule and instructions exactly as is because, you know your pet best! I can bath, walk, feed, administer medication, and give my full attention to your babies ☺️

About: Calm, quiet environment with a sitter who craves doggy time. My 12 year old black lab recently lost her fight with cancer. Not ready to bring home a new dog, but would love to care for your precious fur babies while you are away. I offer patience and attention to your canine's needs. I'm a human nurse but also experienced with dogs special needs such as insulin administration. I work Monday-Friday, Home on weekends. No young children. Available for walks, dog Parks (dog park with your approval), or hanging out in the yard secured on a 50 foot lead. Dogs are not left outside unattended. You're welcome to bring your pets favorite toy for us to use during their stay. Will try to keep them on your schedule for easy transition from home to sitter. I speak to animals as of they can respond. Days are better with happy pets! Friday drop-off at 5:30 pm. Sunday pick-up by 8:00pm. I have a large yard and a spacious house. Spend weekend around the house doing small projects, crafting or cleaning. It's a quiet, stress free household with a very flexible schedule. While I miss my own pet I'm looking to offer a love-centered environment similar to children visiting their favorite Aunties house.

I'm currently walking dogs 2 days out of the week looking for more to work with within the week. I have an open schedule and interested. I have separate spaces available for each animal. In my care at anytime, I will use provided equipment for transportation. Your pet safety is number one.

There was a blizzard that came through the area while she was sitting with us, she kept us informed and comforted that she was on top of things. We were concerned that she might have difficulties if we lost power, etc. but she was very assuring that she had everything under control. She even shoveled our front steps before we got home! I am currently retired and am free most days and nights. I have 2 grandchildren and big helpers! About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember!
