“Emily came through for me and Beans at the last minute! She was great about sending pictures and videos while I was away, and I came home to a happy and well taken care of kitty!”

About: I have grown up with dogs for my whole life and love nothing more than going for walks and hikes! In fact, I live across the street from the DAR State Forest, so if your pooch spends an overnight in my home we'll have plenty of new sights and smells to explore! I can handle multiple dogs at a time and am comfortable with other animals as well (horses and farm animals included!). I will work with you to make sure that your pet's feeding, exercise, and care needs are met and I will make sure your pet gets the exercise and care that they need. I currently work full-time during the day, but work a hybrid schedule so I can be home some days. I believe that communication is key, so I will be sure to stay in touch with you throughout the stay and would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have before, during, and after our booking. You can be assured that if I watch your pets in your home, you will return to your house in the same condition it was left in (or better!). Whatever your wish, just let me know and I'll be sure to go above and beyond your expectations for the care of your pet! I only accept dogs from the same family for boarding and will not book multiple stays that overlap. If you're interested in horse or farm animal care, please reach out for more information and relevant experience. I usually work from home 2 days/ week and have some flexibility in my schedule to accommodate minor changes (such as switching my in-office days or working half days in the office and half at home). I have a decently large yard that is not fenced in and primarily surrounded by forest. My dog usually goes off leash in the yard and on hikes when there aren't other people or dogs around. I live across the street from miles of quiet hiking trails and lakes, and would gladly take your pet for on-leash or off-leash walks.

“So happy I found Daniel because I know June is getting all kinds of love, attention and mental and physical exercise. He’s a real pro and clearly loves what he does.”

“Alyson stopped in each day to feed and spend a little time with our 4 month old cat, Luna. As new cat owners, we were very apprehensive leaving someone to take care of her. Alyson was the perfect choice and we will definitely be using her again!!”

“Angela is a prompt and reliable pet sitter. She watched my cat when I was out of town on two different trips in the chaotic month of December. I even had a last minute travel fiasco and she graciously moved around visit dates to accommodate my change in plans. My very old and skiddish cat even emerged to greet Angela and get pets during the last few visits, which is a big deal. Cat and human approved!”

“Ash is fantastic! Pets are very happy and communication was great.”

“Matt is great with our cats! He is very thorough in his communication which is so reassuring when we travel and miss our boys. He has also been very accommodating when our plans change last minute. The cats really like him — they’re always posing for him and we get the most beautiful photo updates!”

“Paige took great care of our cats! She was very communicative and took pictures of our cats during the visits. She also left great updates during her visits and made me feel like she was keeping good tabs over the days. I look forward to having Paige watch our cats in the future!”

About: Have owned dogs for over 20 years, pet sit for friends, family, and neighbors. I am over cautious and protective when it comes to animals, I'm also active so love walking dogs, throwing a ball for them, or taking them to our local lake for a swim. I have tons of patience for shy dogs, I have dealt with rescue dogs and know when to get close or not to an animal. I have never had an incident where I have had a dog become aggressive with me. I have taken my own dog to obedience school a few times and learned a few key trips for working with difficult dogs or puppies. I have taken care of puppies within the past three years and am comfortable with the extra care they require. I have a solid connection with our local vet and emergency animal hospital and am able to handle dogs who need shots or medications administered. I work from home and have several pets already needing care. Bathroom breaks, walks, ball throwing, catnip time, all of it already happens in my home. We have several pet fences within our home and a puppy proof first floor. If a pet is okay of leash then we walk them around our 4 acres throwing a ball or whatever the pet likes. If a pet is not okay off leash, then we just walk them on a leash on our land every 1.5 or 2 hours or as needed. Water bowls are everywhere, no chemicals are on site within reach of curious puppies, and no cars move very quickly on our driveway and everyone who does arrive at our home knows we have several pets and need to slow down. We have owned dogs for over 25 years and have never had any of our pets get injured.

About: Hi, I’m Jaclyn! I’m new to Rover, but not to pet care. I’ve always been an animal lover. I have taken care of family, friends, and coworkers pets for over 15 years. This ranges from cats, kittens, senior dogs and puppies, to rabbits, guinea pigs, and tropical frogs. I make sure to keep your space clean, laundry, dishes, vacuum, take in the mail, take out the trash. I want your home to be a safe haven when you get back, with nothing to tend to when you return. I am a wonderful companion, and I make sure your pet is happy, clean, litter scooped, fed, walked, and they will get lots of love and playtime. Animals love me! Whether they enjoy playing ball or walks, or snuggles on the couch, I want to make sure your fur-babies are happy and cared for in your absence. I have references on my website which I’m happy to share upon request. I provide a free meet and greet before sitting dates; I want to meet you and your pet, and ensure they are comfortable with me ahead of my visit. I love check-ins for longer stays and will send photos if desired. My house sitting overnight services are in high-demand so please book ahead for best results. Let me know how I can help! I look forward to meeting you ☺️🐶🐾 My main focus is on building dog walking and pet care services, so I’m available for all your pet care needs! I am often in Amherst and don’t mind traveling. My house sitting is very in demand so please book early. I have more flexibility for daytime walks. Thank you! I will go over your regular routines with you about your furry family member, and chat about what keeping your pet safe looks like. I love a good harness for walks, and carefully supervised backyard playtime. Wood trails are great for walks and I always keep a close eye and make sure your pet is not getting into any mischief! I exercise the utmost caution when walking on the street and keep alert for traffic or any other hazards. I care for dogs in a reassuring, calm way, with lots of praise and patience. I carefully assess dogs we may meet on the street to ensure safety and distance if necessary. I have a good eye for ticks and am always checking and finding them, but your dog should be treated for this too. Your best friend is in good hands with me!

“Alexis went above and beyond taking great care of our aging kitty. He needed meds twice a day and Alexis did a great job keeping up with his schedule.”

“I can’t recommend Bella enough! From the moment I met her, I knew my pups were in great hands. She took the time to get to know my dogs and their routines, which made me feel so at ease. Throughout my time away, Bella sent me daily updates and adorable photos of my pups playing and enjoying their time. Each picture captured their happiness—tails wagging and big smiles! It was such a relief to see them so content and well cared for. She truly went above and beyond, providing not just care but also love and attention. I will definitely be booking Bella again for future trips. If you’re looking for someone reliable and caring, look no further!”

About: I have two cats from Guatemala, which I brought with me when I moved to the Berkshires. Back in my country, I gained experience helping street dogs and cats by providing them with food, water, sterilization, and finding homes for them. Now, I would love the opportunity to take care of your pet! 😺 I'm currently just studying English, I'm from Guatemala and I'm here with my husband for his job. So, I have time for care cat almost every day. Following the Routine: I stick to the pet's usual feeding, walking, and play schedules to minimize stress. I ensure that the home is pet-proofed, checking for any hazards that might pose a risk to the pet. I keep the pet's living area clean, regularly refreshing water, and cleaning up any messes.Communication: I provide regular updates to the client, sharing photos and information about their pet's well-being. I respect the client's space, ensuring that the home is left as clean and orderly as when I arrived.

“Molly was very reliable and a great communicator. On one occasion where the cat escaped, she stayed and waited until it was resolved. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Aubrey took great care of my 3 cats while I was away for a week. I'll certainly turn to her first the next time I need some catsitting.”

“Sharene took great care of my cats while I was away! I have multiple cats and one who has a prescription diet, so I really appreciated the detailed cards after the stay letting me know he ate his food and how much (and how all the cats were doing in general). I had been worried about getting a sitter for them with his new diet, but after the first drop in I didn't feel like I need to be concerned at all. The cats were happy and healthy when I got back and I would definitely book again!”

“When my toy Cavapoo, Dickens, and I first met Jaclyn Parker she was a receptionist at a hair salon. I was surprised and delighted to see that she also was willing to do pet sitting and dog walking. She soon left the salon and now does pet care full time. I was so happy to see that my dog was immediately attracted to Jaclyn. Her love of animals is apparent. At my age, it is hard for me to give my dog all the exercise that he needs—I walk with a cane. I hired Jaclyn to walk Dickens twice a week- and it has been an outstanding success. When Jaclyn comes, Dickens literally squeals with delight because he is so excited to see her. Since walking in the rain is not an option for Dickens, they sometimes play ball in my family room so Dickens can work off some of his excess energy. I also hired Jaclyn to dog sit for several days to live in my house with Dickens during the 2024 Christmas holiday so that I could have a visit with family. It was comforting to have someone who loves my dog as I do, stay in my house with him—someone I trust completely. I recommend Jaclyn whole heartedly She always comes when she is supposed to, texts me if she is running late and is totally reliable. She is a genuinely nice person and anyone who hires her is getting a gem.”
