About: I've had at least two dogs my entire life. I've cared for puppies through adult dogs. I have even cared for some with special needs. When your dog stays with me, you also get my whole family to care for them. I'm a stay at home mom and I have plenty of time to care for your baby. I can be with your dog at all times. At bedtime, I am OK if your pet wants to sleep with me. I find that a family with a fenced yard works best for your dog and for me. Your pet may act differently on a leash around other people or animals with me than they do with you. Keeping them safely in a yard avoids them breaking free of their collar or tangling with another dog. I will rarely need to leave your home during my stay, but if I do, your pet will be secured per your instructions and your home locked.

About: I love the dedication and unconditional love that dogs provide their human companions. I will admit that personally I have cats, and they just don't do that all the time :) I have dog-sat for friends over several years providing feedings, walks, and playtime to Malteses to German Shepards. I love getting to know each dog and treating them as if they were my own, which means they are usually going to be pretty pampered. If your dog needs specialized care, I would be willing to learn. I don't really know what specialized care entails for a dog, but feel free to message me and we can discuss. I am a high school teacher so my availability is afternoon/evenings and weekends during the school year but wide open once it is the summertime. My cats are not used to dogs, so caring for dogs in my home would mean they would be spending time outside. However taking care of dogs in their home allows them to be comfortable, have rub my belly sessions (if that's what they like), and take walks in the area that they are most comfortable.

Tory took amazing care of our senior yorkie, Bella! We were gone for 8 days and I really think Bella has been looking for her new friend :). Bella can be an anxious dog, but she was clearly comfortable with Tory. Tory was very respectful in our home and it even looked cleaner when we returned home than when we left!
