“Zoe is incredible!!! She bonded with my dogs in quick order and did a spectacular job of caring for them and loving on them while I was on vacation. I highly recommend her. She is thoughtful, compassionate, and thorough, and even cleaned up everything before she left, leaving me with a very clean comfortable home to return to. She is a gem!!”

About: I have grown up with dogs all my life and started pet sitting when I was 14. I have looked after many different animals including dogs, cats, lizards, and a spider! I have experience with puppies, kittens, senior animals and animals with disabilities as well. I am currently working a part time job so I will have plenty of time to walk and play with your pets! If I am needed on an hourly basis, let me know two weeks beforehand so I can schedule time off work. I can stay overnight at your house if needed I will not bring your pets over to my home because my own dog is unsure about other animals. I like to stay with the animals for two hours each time I check in on them to keep them company and to play with them. I can also stay overnight and all day if needed.
“Megan and Lee stayed with our pups for an extended timeframe and did a terrific job caring for them. One is a senior dog and the other a needy Velcro dog and we felt very comfortable with the care they provided. We would use them again. They also took care of miscellaneous house stuff that popped up while we were gone. Great communication.”

“I really appreciated the ability to book her at a late notice. Although I was not able to meet her in person, I came home to happy healthy puppies. Pictures would have been nice but I won't doc her for that - handling two energetic puppies is enough and if she experienced what I experience, they do not sit still for pictures.”

About: I've taken care of pets for over 10 years. I love both dogs and cats, and use my experience as a studio photographer to take portraits of people's pets. I'm experienced with training new dogs and caring for older pets. I work as a studio photographer- most of my workday is spent at home editing photos on my computer. I'm typically available during the week and the weekend throughout the day. I don't currently have any pets in my home, so no need to worry about other dogs or cats. I also live 5 minutes from a dog park if your dog enjoys socializing with other dogs!
“Taylor is wonderful! She followed my wishes for care. I have 5 dogs and she did overnight visits with them. Feeding them, hanging out with them and loving on them. Taylor went above and beyond to help me and I would highly recommend her.”

About: I love the dedication and unconditional love that dogs provide their human companions. I will admit that personally I have cats, and they just don't do that all the time :) I have dog-sat for friends over several years providing feedings, walks, and playtime to Malteses to German Shepards. I love getting to know each dog and treating them as if they were my own, which means they are usually going to be pretty pampered. If your dog needs specialized care, I would be willing to learn. I don't really know what specialized care entails for a dog, but feel free to message me and we can discuss. I am a high school teacher so my availability is afternoon/evenings and weekends during the school year but wide open once it is the summertime. My cats are not used to dogs, so caring for dogs in my home would mean they would be spending time outside. However taking care of dogs in their home allows them to be comfortable, have rub my belly sessions (if that's what they like), and take walks in the area that they are most comfortable.
“Oli did an amazing job with our dog. We got such detailed and entertaining reports. We never worried for a moment that our dog was getting better care than we would provide. Oli was responsive and flexible and left our home in great condition. We would book Oli again in an instant and we very highly recommend them to anyone.”

About: I've had at least two dogs my entire life. I've cared for puppies through adult dogs. I have even cared for some with special needs. When your dog stays with me, you also get my whole family to care for them. I'm a stay at home mom and I have plenty of time to care for your baby. I can be with your dog at all times. I have a fenced in yard and three dogs who would love to play and snuggle. I will also walk your dog if you'd like.
“Jennifer was amazing! Super communicative & so kind. We felt completely at ease leaving our pups with her as soon as we met her. Huck & Wyatt enjoyed their time with her so much that I don't think they even noticed we were gone ha! We enjoyed our time away even more knowing they were being so well cared for by her, thanks Jennifer!”

“Heather was excellent - I would highly recommend her. She stayed overnight with my 15 year old dog and gave him his meds as well. I felt very comfortable with her in the house and Munson, my shitzu, loved her.”
“Noa was absolutely amazing!!! Her communication, fantastic!!!! Pictures of all my babies, memeable and cute!! My animals loved her even my shy senior cat came to hang out with her! My St. Bernard can be dog reactive and she handled her perfectly!”

“Gabby was great with our dog, she took great care of him and our house! The house was spotless on our return, and our normally anxious dog seemed as happy as usual which was a relief for us. She was very quick with communicating, we would definitely have Gabby sit for us again.”

“Elizabeth stayed in our home 5 nights and was wonderful with our 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 ferrets, which included our dog that required daily medication. We were nervous leaving our fur babies but she took great care of them and our home. We highly recommend her!”

About: I've always grown up around animals, I've never even lived in a home without some kind of furry friend. I've had dogs since I was younger than 5 and my family used to foster for a program in Alabama called a New Leash on Life. I've had my own dog since college and he is dog reactive. Through patience and consistency, he's now able to comfortably play with other dogs while still understanding his own limits. I genuinely love animals and this seems like a great opportunity to spend time with some without adopting 16 more pets. Since I work full-time during the week, pet care fits best into my weekends. I can also help on weeknights after 6pm, with no conflicts. My schedule can be flexible with enough prep time. I don’t offer boarding in my own home, but I’m happy to come to yours for potty breaks, playtime, and overnight sitting. I make sure pets get the attention they need — whether that’s exercise, cuddles, or just keeping their routine consistent. During overnights, I stay attentive to their comfort and safety, so you can feel confident they’re well. I can accommodate any weird or fun quirks that your pet has because mine definitely has more than a few.
“Raven does an excellent job. Very conscientious. Thinks ahead. She took excellent care of my Sugar and was responsive to my requests for updates & pictures of my baby. Super flexible. I would recommend Raven without a second thought to anyone that needs care for their fur baby.”

About: Hi! I’m an experienced and reliable pet sitter with over 20 years of hands-on experience as a dog owner. I’ve cared for dogs in every stage of life—from young puppies to senior dogs, as well as dogs with special needs, anxiety, and medical conditions. I’m comfortable with small and large breeds and pets with all kinds of personalities, whether they’re energetic and playful or calm and cuddly. In addition to my own pets, I regularly provide dog and cat care for friends and family, so I understand how important it is to find someone you trust when you’re away. I also have experience with puppy training basics, including reinforcing routines and good behaviors. I’m comfortable with administering medications, including pills and other treatments, and maintaining consistent routines for pets who need extra care. One of my rescue dogs struggled with anxiety, so I’m very familiar with supporting anxious pets and creating a calm, reassuring environment. Something that also sets me apart is that my sister is a former veterinary technician, so I have a knowledgeable contact I can reach out to if any questions arise while caring for your pet. Most importantly, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I tailor my care to your pet’s specific needs, routine, and personality to help them feel comfortable and happy while you’re away. I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pet, so I always send frequent updates, photos, and videos so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, loved, and well cared for. I’d love to meet you and your pet—feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a meet-and-greet! ❤️ work remotely from home Monday–Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, which allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. Because I work from home, I’m able to take breaks during the day for walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins to make sure your pet gets the care and attention they need. If I have a particularly busy work week, I will update my Rover calendar and turn off my availability in advance to ensure that any pets I accept receive my full attention and care. I know how important your pet’s safety and happiness are, and I treat every animal in my care like they’re my own. I maintain a calm, clean, and secure environment while following your pet’s routine and any special instructions you provide. I’m experienced with administering medications, monitoring health, and handling behavioral or medical needs, so you can feel confident your pet is in capable hands. I also send frequent updates, photos, and videos to keep you connected and worry-free. Every pet gets personalized attention, love, and care, so they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away.

About: Animals have been one of the greatest loves of my life. As a yoga teacher, former pharmacy professional, and full-time traveler, I bring a calm, attentive, and compassionate presence to every home I care for. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages—from playful puppies to senior pets needing extra patience and medication. I understand that every animal has their own personality and routine, and I take the time to help them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether your pet loves long walks, hiking adventures, fetch in the backyard, or simply curling up for quiet companionship, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’ll also treat your home with the same respect and care I would my own. You’ll receive regular updates, photos, and honest communication so you can relax knowing your beloved companion is in caring hands. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide dependable care throughout the day. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, overnight companionship, or extra attention while you’re away, I strive to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I’m happy to accommodate mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holiday care when available. I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I would my own. As a certified yoga teacher, I naturally bring a calm, patient, and grounded presence that many animals respond to with ease. I take time to understand each pet’s unique personality, routine, and needs—whether they’re playful, shy, senior, or require medication. You’ll receive regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your furry family member is in caring hands. My goal is to create a peaceful, loving environment where your pet feels comfortable, secure, and genuinely cared for.

About: I have cared for dogs of every kind, size, and age since before I was 10 years old. I have lived with and loved my own dogs for years. I’ve raised them from puppies to happy adults, and cared for friends, family, and neighbors dogs, including many senior dogs and puppies. I love to take dogs on long walks, play with them, or just cuddle and pet them. I am also very good with cats, and have loved and cared for many kitties as well. Your pets are promised a safe, reliable, and loving place in my care. During the summers I only work a part time job, allowing me plenty of free time to care for and play with your fur babies! My schedule is not set and consistent, so I will provide you what times I would be away at work depending on when you need me! I am very experienced when it comes to pet care, I can bathe, feed, walk, play with, and provide any care your pup or kitty may need. I understand some dogs may need more care and attention than others, and I am more than willing to provide that! I will also make sure your home stays clean. You will come back to happy, healthy, and safe pets, inside a clean home!

I really appreciated the ability to book her at a late notice. Although I was not able to meet her in person, I came home to happy healthy puppies. Teresa did an amazing job with my pups. She sent pictures of them and kept their schedule perfectly. They got plenty of love and were very content when we got home. My one dog has cushings disease and needs meds twice a day and it was no problem for her. I will definitely rebook with her again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Olde West Chester on Rover is $48.47 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Olde West Chester walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Olde West Chester maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Olde West Chester choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
