“Katie was wonderful with our beagle who has separation anxiety! She was easy to work with and had great communication, sending us pics of our precious little guy while under her care. He seemed relaxed and excited to be dropped off with his “Aunt Katie”! Thanks for creating such a safe space for him, Katie! We’ll be back next winter!”

“We were able to book Jackson last minute when our original fell through! Our guy seemed to have a ton of fun and had no problem going right into Jackson’s house! We would for sure use him again if needed!”

About: I am a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience. I grew up on a ranch with dogs, horses, and an entire 'ark' of farm animals. I offer pet sitting in my own home. I can take more than one dog if they are from the same owner. I currently do not have pets so my time is entirely devoted to your pet. I also offer care for your home should you need someone to drop in to water plants, view property, and gather mail. Happy to meet you and your pup for introductory welcome. "I currently enjoy a fully flexible schedule, making me available whenever you need me most — including last minute requests, weekends, and holidays. Whether you need recurring visits or spontaneous coverage, I am ready and happy to help." "Your pet receives attentive, loving care in my home with regular walks and potty breaks. I follow your exact routines, schedules, and habits while adding an extra layer of love."
“Brandon is an excellent caregiver for pets. He's responsive, reliable and most important. My dogs really liked him and felt comfortable and safe. Thank you so much we appreciate it.”

“Sierra was amazing from the start, she answered my inquiry so quickly and made the reservation process so easy. I could tell my dog enjoyed staying with Sierra, he was always excited to come back after 4 days of doggy day care. My pup played with other dogs and got lots of play and exercise during the day - I love that I got photos each day, too. I’d definitely ask Sierra to dog sit again!”

“Ana Karen did a wonderful job taking care of our Goldendoodle. She was attentive, sent several pictures throughout the day, and made sure the stay was comfortable. I will definitely use her again.”

“Jennifer was an amazing dog sitter for Coco. Jennifer’s dog, Stella, was playful, and the two dogs got along wonderfully. It was great knowing Coco had a fun companion to play with. I can tell Jennifer was very attentive and made the whole experience easy and stress-free. I could tell Coco was well loved and cared for. I highly recommend Jennifer to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!”

“Michelle was great with our dog, Rusty. She was great at communicating with us and making us feel welcome at her house. I loved how she sent me photos during the day and took him on walks. He was so happy when we picked him up. I definitely recommend Michelle as a great pet sitter. Thank you!”

“This is the second time we've worked with Shayna (we missed the review window on the first time) and we couldn't be happier having met her! She's provided both in-home overnights (10 days!) and day care for our 2 dogs, one old with medication needs and one young puppy. She is calm, friendly and professional and she clearly cares for every pet she works with. And our dogs LOVE her! She goes above and beyond expectations, shuttling our pups to appointments and even running errands if we needed something extra while we were gone. She already feels like part of the family and we look forward to working with her again. We can't recommend her enough!”

“Joan is wonderful. As soon as we met her and her husband, we knew that Winston would be in good hands. We would leave him again with her in a heartbeat! Highly recommend. Thank you Joan for taking such wonderful care of Winston 💕”

About: I am a cat mom to a bengal cat named Tango. Tango’s favorite activities include playing fetch, taking walks along the Seine (he’s just returned from 2 years in Paris) and play dates with his homies Hammy & Otie (dogs). 🫶🏼 Tango aspires to be a Royal Canin model. We live in a house in La Quinta with a fenced yard, great for playing and exercise while confined. Residential neighborhood near old town and the park. Great area for walks, safe and clean. I mostly work from home, unless I have to travel. Otherwise I am available all hours and can schedule according to your pets specific needs. I care for all pets the same way I would want my kitty cared for. My cat is like my child, he has a very unique personality and style that I have fostered since I got him. I approach each animal according to their unique personality and their owner’s caretaking style.
“Bobby always has a blast with Matt and his pack. There are usually a couple dog pals for him to play with and he’s always beaming after his visits. Matt takes good care of our furry babies and is flexible when it comes to scheduling. Would definitely recommend!”

“Alice and her daughter were so great and really took great care of my dog Lucia! I love that someone is always home with the dogs they care for since my pup gets nervous sometimes. Thank you for the wonderful experience”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes since I was a young girl, and animals have always been a natural part of my life. I’ve rescued dogs throughout my adulthood and loved every breed, personality, and quirky soul that’s come my way. Even cats — despite my allergies — tend to walk right up to me, which always makes me smile. I’ll still care for them with love (and a little help from allergy meds). I’m an empath with a deep, intuitive connection to animals. Nervous, shy, senior, or sensitive pets usually relax around me quickly. I read their body language, respect their boundaries, and create a calm, predictable environment where they feel safe and understood. I also bring professional caregiving skills to my pet care. As a retired massage therapist and longtime caregiver, I can offer gentle pet massage, calming touch, and support for aging, compassionate end of life care and support or anxious dogs. I’m comfortable providing wound care, administering medications, and injections for diabetic animal when needed. What truly sets me apart is the combination of lifelong love of animals, my experience, intuition, and genuine compassion. Your pet will be cared for with patience, warmth, and the same steady presence I’ve brought to every animal I’ve loved. I create a calm, predictable environment where pets feel safe, understood, and cared for in my Home or Yours. I will respect your home, your space, your privacy and the trust you placed in me.
“Our big girl Bee had a fabulous vacation at the Brandon and Billy “resort!” This is the second time they have cared for Bee while we enjoy the tennis tournament and it hopefully won’t be the last. They are wonderful with her.”

“We rarely leave our precious pup but we do travel a lot and have taken advantage of Rover in various parts of the country. We are so happy to have found Don to leave Georgie with for a couple of days while we explored the Indio area. Don frequently provided photos and updates and we knew she was in the best of hands. We will definitely use Don again when we come back to this areas.”

As of August 2026, there are 350 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Pinyon Pines. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Pinyon Pines commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 350 sitters in Pinyon Pines, 90% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
