“We highly recommend Meghan, as she was great! She communicated well and sent pictures everyday. She would spend time and play with our two cats. She even cleaned up a mess they had made. Definitely will be rebooking in the future.”

“Jay was great! It usually takes a little while for our pit/great dane mix to take to new people, but he and Jay were buddies pretty much immediately. Jay was very communicative and took great care or our guy while we were out of town. Definitely recommend!”

“Fallon was great! Super responsive and took fantastic care of my two cats. This was my second time booking her and I definitely plan to rebook her in the future”

“First time Rover user. Chose two visits a day for three days to care for our three cats while on a cruise for vacation. Leah did an amazing job, proving updates after each visit to the house. Will try to book Leah again for our next vacation. Highly recommend booking with Leah!!!”

“Nicholas provided excellent care for my cats during a weekend away. He followed all instructions, spent time getting to know them, and his calm demeanor put me at ease. I’d happily recommend Nicholas for reliable, thoughtful pet care.”

“Ryan is great with our dog Wylder. He drops in over the weekend and takes him for walks/potty breaks. He sends photos of him playing and info on what they did. Wylder definitely seems happier and calmer since Ryan has been dropping in.”

“Cecile was a great sitter for both my Pomeranian and Tabby. She was on time, gentle and thoughtful. She made our trip a lot more enjoyable knowing our “ kids” were well cared for.”

“Mirabella was truly AMAZING! She watched my two cats for two weeks and I couldn’t have asked for a better caretaker. From day one, she was incredibly kind, reliable, and attentive, and she went above and beyond in every way. She provided consistent updates, photos, and detailed messages that made me feel completely at ease while I was away. It was clear she genuinely cared about my cats and treated them like her own — making sure they were comfortable, happy, and well taken care of the entire time. I came home to two very content cats and everything in perfect condition. I would 100% recommend Mirabella to anyone looking for a trustworthy, thoughtful, and responsible sitter. I will absolutely be booking with her again!”

About: If your pet could pick their sitter, I hope they’d pick me! 🐾💕 My love for animals started when I was little, when I found a stray cat on the street, brought her home, and named her Princess. 🐱👑 Ever since then, animals have had a special place in my heart. Most of my experience comes from caring for other people’s pets, and I’ve always treated every fur baby like my own. Whether they need walks, playtime, cuddles, boarding, or just some extra love while you’re away, I’m here for it! ❤️ Basically, I’m the person who says, “I’ll watch your pet,” and then accidentally becomes their favorite babysitter. 😂🐾 Your pet will be safe, loved, spoiled, and treated like family with me! I do have a full-time job, but my schedule is flexible and can vary between daytime and overnight hours. This allows me to provide pet care while still maintaining my work responsibilities. I want to make sure I’m the right fit for both you and your pet, so when you’re interested in booking with me, we can discuss your schedule, your pet’s needs, and what type of care you’re looking for. From there, we can make sure our availability aligns and create a plan that works best for everyone. My goal is to provide dependable, loving care while making the experience as convenient and stress-free as possible for both you and your pet. 🐾💕 I want every pet in my care to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, feeding schedule, and individual needs so I can care for them the way they’re used to. I treat every pet like my own, while also respecting their boundaries—especially cats, who definitely have their own personalities! 🐱💕 Whether they want cuddles, playtime, attention, or a little space, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I keep a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment and always prioritize safety. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing your fur baby is being cared for, loved, and treated like family while you’re away.
“Anna was amazing! Our dog Midnight Star loved her so much, that the first day we were back, he ran to the front door promptly at six and sat there looking out the window, waiting for her. Anna sent us pictures, detailed info about the visit, and a map of their walk after every single visit, so we never worried about whether he was well taken care of. I would highly recommend Anna for walks, home visits, or any other needs you have for your pet.”

About: I grew up with cats, fish and hermit crabs. It wasn’t till high school that I learned to love snakes and other reptiles that I’d never interacted with before. My degree is in parks and museum education so I spent much of my time at our nature center caring for all the animals we kept. I’ve been actively pet sitting since college. I have spent many years caring for children and pets in between my jobs in the film & TV industry. I work full time for a few weeks at a time and then I have a week or so off. In most recent years that has looked like nannying and dog /cat sitting through word of mouth. So new to the app way of doing this but not new to pet sitting. I’m excited to meet more people and the pets they love. I’m pictured with my snake named Alfredo. I work in film and TV and will be between projects for 1-5 weeks at a time. I can’t take any pet sitting while on a project but my days are fully flexible and available when I’m not. Following owner’s instructions on pet care and keeping them updated throughout the time of care. Having them provide emergency contacts for veterinary care, just in case.

“Brittany was kind, communicative, and took great care (and pictures) of Zara! i would recommend Brittany’s services to anyone with an animal companion, and i would definitely rebook!”

About: I have had all kinds of animals growing up and caring for them in such a way that I’ve developed a lot of skill sets. From dogs to cats and even reptiles I was able to do whatever I needed to do to make sure they are comfortable, safe, well fed,got the attention and love they needed and just being there for them in every way.I don’t look at this as a job it’s my life I love all types of animals and just being around them makes me so happy. If you ever leave your pets under my supervision I can promise you that you will have no worries on my end I am a reliable person that will keep them secured in every given way needed.
About: I grew up with dogs and a cat in a loving home and absolutely love animals! I've also dog sat for close family and friends throughout my life. My soul kitty just passed away recently and I'm looking to fill my time with love, care, and cuddles from our furry family members we love so much. I know what it's like to care for, show love and interest, play and meet their needs where they're at. I may be new to pet sitting with Rover, but I am not new to caring for and loving animals. I've used Rover for pet sitters to care for my cat when she was with me, and am familiar with this platform and the needs/concerns of being a pet parent. I promise to care for your pets just as I did for my kitty. I work in the office Monday-Wednesdays, but work from home Thursdays-Fridays. I have more daytime flexibility for drop ins on Thur/Fri. Otherwise happy to do drops ins outside of working hours in the beginning of the week. While I live in a condo, there is plenty of space to take dogs out for a walk, potty, etc. I live in a quiet complex and have a nice little nature path between our buildings. I can also easily to take them to dog parks that are close by (on leash of course, I wouldn't take them off leash as they are not my own-for everyone's safety). If staying at your home-I am respectful and will follow all instructions to the t.
“Elan was great in a very unusual dog sitting situation. It is obviously that this is more than a job for her, but a labor of love. She sent daily reports and answered any questions we had about their welfare. I would definitely use her again!”

“Jennifer has been sitting and boarding our dog Kody for about two years. She is very reliable and takes great care of our little guy. In seeing how happy he is to see her, that says a lot.”

I had to leave town spur-of- the- moment and was able to secure Priscilla to care for my three indoor cats and one (feral) outdoor cat. She did a fantastic job without having met any of the cats beforehand. I feel like she cared for my cats as I would had i been here. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for quality pet care.

I will absolutely be having Brandon watch Mazie again! He was so attentive, played with her, and she snuggled with him. It made me happy to see Mazie to getting so comfortable so fast. My place and litter boxes were left in pristine conditions. Brandon is a 100/10 sitter

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
