We currently have a 7 lb chipoo mix who we absolutely adore and we'd love to get her a sibling but we just aren't ready for another dog full time so we'll care for yours while you're away. About: I’ve owned and raised around 6 cats throughout my life. About 3 dogs and almost all of them were rescue pets. I’ve indulged in both dog and house sitting, most of which were overnight jobs. I’ve tended to malnourished puppies where I’ve nursed them back to perfect health. All around most of my experiences were personal, such as growing up with pets but by the time I was a teenager, I indulged in house sitting, dog walking, etc. The most pets I’d say, I’ve taken care of all at once would be around 5 or 6. I’ve cared for a few reptile pets such as turtles and snakes but it has mostly been cats and dogs. For the first time in my adult life, I have my own beautiful pup. About: I’m a huge dog lover, there isn’t much that I’m more passionate about than dogs. I come from a big dog loving family. I’ve been a dog owner most of my life. Since I was about 8 I would study and research all I could about dogs and I’ve even trained pretty much every family dog we’ve. It was mostly the basics and cool tricks. His name is Chopper after the character Tony Chopper from One Piece. A lot of my care experience lies in loving on breeds that others are ignorant of. My dog is trained, neutered, has all his shots and he loves other animals as well as adults and children. He's kind to older dogs and is very sweet to everything except chipmunks. He was raised in a pack of female dogs, so he has learned to help other dogs coregulate. He's a really big help with training other dogs in basic commands. So if you need a dog to sit and lay down, he's excited to help them learn how. He is crate and potty trained. He doesn't gel with aggressive dogs at all, he's a happy go lucky kind of boy who is obsessed with fetch and bunny hops when he has friends. Overtime my skills have accumulated to include, pet sitting, dog walking, minimal dog grooming (i.e. washing, hair/fur trimming, nail clipping, teeth brushing), flea and tick ointment application, dressing/caring for animal wounds, administering medication with AND w/o supervision, basic behavior and training techniques, and talking to your dog as if we're besties. I also research and have a working understanding of various dog breeds and their personalities. I promise to love and care for your dog as if I actually own them. I want your fur baby to feel as if they have actually been home the whole time. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be considerate of your sitter's time. Serena had some major surgeries in 2019 and 2020 for a herniated disc and a knee surgery, so I can no longer host large size dogs as that could pose a risk of her getting hurt while playing. Lola, a senior chihuahua I adopted in 2023. A tiny white baby Yoda looking puppy. She's too cute! These are my "forever" pets, they aren't going anywhere. All my animals are great with other animals, so there are no issues with them not liking newcomers. Sincerely - Julie How long have I been an animal lover: Since birth! I've had pets all my life. I started rescuing and re-homing animals at a very young age. My first memory of this was when I was less than 10 years old. My father and I were on our way to town and we saw a lady on the side of the road with a dog. Not thinking much of it we stopped at a gas station to fill up and as we pulled out that same lady hit the back of our car with her car. After doing the police report and dealing with car insurance my dad was too frustrated to go anywhere and decided to take us back home. On the way there I glanced at the spot the lady had been parked earlier with the dog and the dog was still there. I remember telling my dad the lady left the dog and my dad mumbled something nasty about the lady. I asked if we could go back and get the dog and my dad said no, that we had nowhere to keep the dog and he didn't want one. I started crying and begged him to go back and please help the dog and I was scared it would die. He gave in to my tears and turned around. She was filthy and underweight but very friendly. I named her Lucky and we took her home and scrubbed her down in the tub and it was one of my best memories from my childhood. My dad wouldn't let me keep Lucky but within a week we had found her a great home with a single mom and her son who gave her a great home with a fenced yard. That's how it all started and since then I've never stopped. I'd give my life for my pets, that's how dedicated I am to them. They are my children, my family, and the loves of my life. The unconditional love a pet offers is priceless. Rescuing animals is the life accomplishment I'm most proud of. About: Hi! My name is Sydney and I would love to be able to share my love for animals with you and your pet. I do other services such as wag for about 4 years. I also have done Rover before with my mom for 5 years prior. I know how to administer medication, due to the fact one of my own fur babies had diabetes. Very comfortable with senior care and their special ways as I had a baby that had doggy dementia. Also 3 years ago I got a puppy and he’s now 4 but this is to say I’ve raised and trained him (along side my mom) to sit, high five and be potty trained. I've had a dog since before I was even born, so I have a strong place in my heart for animals. About: I have been pet sitting since I was 18. It started out as me needing extra money for college and eventually I saw a need for pet sitting services. I do have a pup of my own (he is 3) and a little boy. Rest assured your pup/cat will be in great hands. 🐶 I currently work remotely in tech which allows me the flexibility to tend to your baby/babies 24/7. I do go to the gym in the morning for about an hour and sometimes have to run to Target for a pick-up order, so that is the only time they will be left alone. I do not keep anyone’s dog/cat caged unless otherwise directed to do so. I am available for overnight/daytime services. I am here to meet your need(s). Multiple pets accepted. TIA 🐶 🐱 I have a fenced backyard, so our furry friends are free to roam around as they please. You can rest assured that your pet will be fed, at least twice a day (morning & night) unless on a specific diet/regimen that will be followed to a T and let out at least every 1-2 hours. There is a small dog park in the area that is very convenient to access. I've taken previous pets to this park and it seems to be a big hit. Its a small private neighborhood park always with lots of playmates available. There are also a couple of private enclosures if play safety is ever an issue.
