About: I’ve had pets of my own for more than 10 years and have also spent time fostering both dogs and cats, including animals with special needs. That experience has taught me that every pet needs something a little different, whether that means extra patience, a specific routine, a slower introduction, or just plenty of attention and reassurance. About: I’ve cared for dogs for as long as I can remember, especially senior pups who need extra patience, gentleness, and love. Growing up, I had two senior dogs, a 17 year old Poodle and a 15 year old Shih Tzu, so I’m very familiar with caring for older dogs, understanding their routines, and recognizing when they need a little extra support or comfort. I currently have a one-year-old Shih Tzu who I’ve raised since he was a puppy, so I’m experienced with both young, energetic dogs and calmer, older companions. About: I’ve grown up with a dog in my house all mice, a German Shepard named sable, a Labrador named Jake, and currently a pitbull/blue healer named colt who were and are all amazing dogs. I’m always the one to take care of both my sisters dogs and house sit for them as much as I can. I also take care of my best friends dogs and cats whenever they need. I have taken care of other animals privately as well with mainly medium size and small dogs. Dogs have needs whether it’s vet and treatment related or simply walking/play time to expel that explosive energy and I personally love being active as much as I can. Couldn't have asked for a better sitter for my cats. Her updates were thorough and detailed without being overwhelming, and I always felt like I had a good sense of how they were doing while we were away. She was especially wonderful with my shy cat, who is usually very hesitant around new people. She was patient, let him come to her on his own terms, and earned his trust surprisingly quickly. The funniest part is that when getting home after several days away, the cats barely seemed annoyed with my absence. Normally I'd get some dramatic complaints for abandoning them, but they seemed happy and content, which I think is the best indication of how comfortable and cared for they felt while I was gone. I'd absolutely book with her again.
Madison was amazing! She gave me all the details, was punctual on visit times & cleaned up after my elderly dogs! Sometimes they make mistakes over night when I’m out of town, and my house was so clean when I arrived home. Pups were so happy and well cared for. I would highly recommend her.

I hired Janelle to come by my house while on vacation to check on my 4 cats. She was so nice at the meet and greet and really paid attention to the needs of my kitties. She came to my house and played with them, fed them, cleaned their litter, and refilled their water. She was on time, and did a great job. This was on a holiday as well, so it is nice having someone who can work holidays. It’s so nice having someone who I can trust while I’m away, and I will be hiring her again!! Roy is amazing! We were able to get him booked very last minute. He came over the morning of to meet Rusty and Myah. Our plan was for him to come back later in the afternoon. Well 2 hours into our trip, I noticed the cat snuck out and was in the pool area. Torrential downpour and Roy was on his was to save kitty :-) 5 stars isn’t enough.

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
