“Melissa did an excellent job taking care of our cat while we were gone. She sent pictures and videos and kept us updated with how he was doing. She also brought in all of our mail and went above and beyond a normal cat sitter. Will definitely use her to watch our cat next time we go out of town!”

About: I’m great with dogs! I’ve trained many dogs before and also volunteered at Big Dog Ranch Rescue. I’ll provide great care to your furry friend! I currently work full-time from Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3 pm. Any time after that is fine, and I’m free on weekends. I can provide care in the mornings and evenings on weekends, and only at night during the week. I have a dog and cat of my own and they get along really well. Whether in your home or mine, I keep your pet safe, happy, and on their regular routine. I strictly follow your feeding, medication, and walking schedules while keeping your environment secure and clean. You will receive regular photo updates, giving you peace of mind knowing your pet is in gentle, prepared hands.
“I feel so fortunate to have found Andrea to take care of my cat Misses when I was away for a few days. I was so grateful for the sweet pictures she sent me, and everything she did to keep me at ease. We are definitely looking forward to working with her again soon. Thanks so much! 😻”

About: I am an optometry student at NSU. I am away from home so having a pet to walk and be around will help with being away from home. I have a family dog I had to leave at home :(( In high school I would walk dogs after school and in college I would dog and cat sit all the time. I am not scared of big or little dogs. My sister had a cat growing up so I also love cats. I go to school from 8a-5p Monday through Friday. So I can be with pets before 8a and after 5p. But I am free all weekend! I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I follow each pet’s normal routine, including feeding, providing fresh water, administering medications if needed, cleaning up after them, and giving them plenty of attention and playtime. I also make sure they get appropriate exercise and that their environment stays clean and secure. Most importantly, I treat every pet as if they were my own and keep the owner updated on how their pet is doing.
About: 🐾 My House-Sitting & Boarding Policies Please read these policies before booking so we can make sure we’re a good fit for you and your pup! 🏡 Home & Meet-and-Greet Policy For my safety, privacy, and comfort, I do not allow dog owners, clients, or other guests inside my home for meet-and-greets, drop-offs, pick-ups, or other visits. All meet-and-greets will take place at a local dog park or another mutually agreed-upon public location before the booking. This gives us a chance to meet, discuss your dog’s routine and needs, and make sure everyone feels comfortable before the stay. Please respect this policy, as it is important to me that my home remains a private and secure space. 🐶 Potty Training & Accidents Please let me know before booking if your dog is not fully potty trained, is prone to accidents, or has any difficulty holding their bladder. If your dog requires pee pads, diapers, belly bands, or any other supplies to help prevent accidents, the owner is responsible for providing them for the duration of the stay. I completely understand that accidents can happen, especially when dogs are in a new environment. My goal is simply to be prepared and have the appropriate supplies available so we can minimize accidents and keep everyone comfortable. 📋 Communication & Honesty Please be upfront about your dog’s behavior, potty habits, medical needs, anxiety, separation issues, reactivity, and any other important information before booking. This helps me provide the safest and best care possible. Thank you for understanding and respecting these policies! My priority is providing your pup with a safe, comfortable stay while also maintaining a safe and private environment in my home. 🐾❤️ Hi, I’m Dayana! I enjoy providing attentive, compassionate care, whether that’s taking your dog on long, engaging walks or ensuring your pet feels safe and comfortable in a home environment. I am currently working part-time while pursuing my esthetician license, which allows me to maintain a flexible schedule and dedicate quality time to each pet in my care. My goal is to make every pet feel at ease, as if they’re in their own second home. I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s specific needs and routines to ensure their comfort and well-being. I currently live in an apartment community without a yard, but your fur baby will enjoy frequent outdoor potty breaks and regular walks throughout the day. I make sure all pets get plenty of fresh air, exercise, and stimulation to keep them happy and comfortable.

About: I have my own dog named Jake, he is now entering his senior years and just turned 13 this past December. I’ve had him since he was about a year old and we’ve been able to make lots of great memories together. I’ve worked at multiple grooming salons and have had limited veterinary experience. The vet experience has taught me to provide pets with liquid medication as well as pill medication. I have also raised kittens, not only when I was in school, but I now have my own kitten named Oakey, and she’s a fast growing girl! My own dog has problems with arthritis, so I know how important it is to take care when tending to your pets specific needs. Overall, I have strong love for animals and feel that the care I can provide to them will leave both pet and parent happy. I work full time in a remote setting which allows lot of flexibility location wise. My weekends and evenings are where I’m most available to provide care I currently do not do day care stays at my own home, but for care provided in my clients home I would ask for a list of requests so I can give your pet the care you desire. With my own dog, I’ve found he’s most comfortable in his own home, so I am confident that following your pets normal daily routine is the best way to ensure that they feel comfortable and safe while you are away.
About: I've been caring for animals informally for years. I had my own fur baby, Charlie, who was so much more than a pet—he was my best friend for 13 years. He taught me that when it comes to caring for animals, the most important qualities are patience, consistency, empathy, and understanding that no two pets are the same. Since Charlie's passing, I've loved helping friends and family care for their furry companions, whether dogs or cats. One of my favorite parts is getting to know each pet's unique personality and what makes them tick. Whether it's long walks, chasing toys, cuddles on the couch, or simply enjoying each other's company, I love meeting pets where they are and giving them the care and attention they need. Spending time with furry friends has truly become one of my favorite ways to spend the day. I'm comfortable caring for both dogs and cats, keeping them active, entertained, and sticking to their routines. I also have experience giving oral medications when they can be hidden in food or treats. A little about me—I'm a licensed mental health counselor, so patience, compassion, and empathy come naturally to me. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else's care. I'll treat them with the same love, attention, and respect that I gave my Charlie boy. Whether you're away on vacation or simply at work for the day, I'll make sure to keep you posted with plenty of pictures and updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. My schedule varies from week to week, but I’m generally available Thursday through Saturday for walks and drop-in visits! I make sure to keep my Rover calendar up to date so you can easily see when I’m available. Since my days off are dedicated to pet care, I can often accommodate different times throughout the day. Whether your furry friend needs a morning walk, a potty break, some playtime, or just a little extra company while you’re away, I’d love to spend some time with them! At this time, I'm offering dog walks and drop-in visits in your home. While I'm not currently able to provide boarding, I'm more than happy to come to your pet's familiar environment, where they can feel safe, comfortable, and stick to their normal routine. Whether it's a walk around the neighborhood, playtime in the backyard, a potty break, fresh food and water, or simply a lil extra love and time hanging out while you're away, I'll make sure your pet receives the care and attention they deserve. I'll also treat your home with the same respect and care that I would my own, and I'll always leave things just as I found them.
“Madison is already one of my favorite sitters! She took such great care of our cat and was extremely thorough and detailed in her communications. I am so impressed! Will absolutely book again.”
“I contacted Lisa for a second time to care for our old cat while we were traveling, my husband and I are very please with Lisa and Dakota. She did the drop-off visits because the cat wouldn’t leave the home since she is too old, Lisa is very caring and profesional. I will contact Lisa again to take care of my pets, I also recommend her for your pet’s care.”

“Danielle is truly an Angel on earth. My fur babies are both 1 years old and this was the first time I was leaving them for more than 2 days. She sent me ample pictures every visit, FaceTimed me, and overall just went above and beyond. She truly cares, understand animals and loves my fur babies as much as I do. I never thought I would meet such an amazing sitter like her and I will definitely be booking with her again ❤️ don’t think twice about booking her!!”

Catherine was absolutely AMAZING with my fur babies. She came to my home for drop-in visits to walk my three dogs, and I couldn’t have been happier with her care. She was attentive, sweet, and genuinely caring with all three of them. She communicated with me very well and kept me updated throughout the visits, which gave me such peace of mind. I would definitely recommend Catherine and will happily have her care for my dogs again!

Rebecca watched my fur baby for 2 days and took amazing care of her. we received constant updates and lots of pics! it’s a relief to have someone who communicates so throughly while with your animals, we will definitely be hiring Rebecca to watch our fur baby again!

I hired Janelle to come by my house while on vacation to check on my 4 cats. She was so nice at the meet and greet and really paid attention to the needs of my kitties. She came to my house and played with them, fed them, cleaned their litter, and refilled their water. She was on time, and did a great job. This was on a holiday as well, so it is nice having someone who can work holidays. It’s so nice having someone who I can trust while I’m away, and I will be hiring her again!! I highly recommend. her.

Rebecca was an absolute rock star! I had a last-minute change with my usual sitter and she came to the rescue. She was quick to respond, provided great updates, and was so kind throughout. Derby had a fantastic time, and I had total peace of mind knowing she was in such great care. We can’t wait to have her back again!

I cannot recommend Richard enough. We are going through a tough time with our baby girl Missy who is a special needs dog that more recently has become immobile. Richard went above and beyond to provide her top notch care while we were out of town for the weekend. Richard helped her with the bathroom, administered medication, and took great care feeding her. We were in a bind and really came in the clutch for us. Thank you for taking great care of our girl Missy! Highly recommend.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
