“Jeanette was perfect for what we needed! She was so sweet with our dog, and was great at responding quickly when we needed to check in. We would definitely use her again in the future.”

“Catherine did a great job taking care of my boxer, Cash. Since he’s a larger dog and can be a bit anxious, I was a little worried leaving him while I was away, but she handled him very well and made the whole experience stress-free.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 10 years old. Friends and family have come to me to help take care of their animals. I love all breeds and sizes! I am available every day to care for others pets! I can drop in, walk, and bathe all sizes of dogs and am willing to move my schedule around to help out! I have experience with all sizes and breeds of dogs and have been around and taking care of animals for the majority of my life. I also have experience with cats, turtles, geckos, bearded dragons, and hamsters. My dog Max has some health issues so I’m experienced in administering medication.
About: I've been taking care of dogs my whole life. At the moment, I have 3 dogs, a 7, 5, and 4 year old, all 60+ pounds. About 5 years ago I started taking care of the pets in my neighborhood when their parents go away. I am able to feed, walk, bathe and administer oral medications or supplements to them. I have experience caring for senior pups, young puppies, and dogs with seizure conditions, considering one of my pups at home takes medication for it. I understand how important it is for our babies to get exercise and would love to take care of them while you’re away. I am a freshman at the University of South florida so any time during the school year will I will not be available. But, I am home mid-May through Mid- August to watch your fur babies. I am currently a freshman in college at the University of South Florida. While I was still in high school, I would petsit on the weekends or during long holidays. Now that I am in college, i am unable to petsit during the college school year. But, I am out of school from mid- may until mid-august, and I am free for almost the entire summer. Whenever I visit, I pride myself on being clean. Washing their food bowls, refilling their water, and cleaning up the backyard or house when needed. I am happy to take your dog or pets for long or short walks or depending on their needs. If the dog is crated, I typically leave a light on for them, give them a treat, and I love to play calming music for them when I leave. I take pictures of all the pups I care for and will gladly send them to you.
“Laura did an amazing job! She was on time and sent pictures everyday. I was very happy and satisfied with her service and will definitely request her again in the future”

“Nicole was wonderful with my brand new kitten Ash! Super responsive and kept me updated with lots of videos and photos! I will definitely rely on her again and would highly recommend. Very professional and Ash seemed to love her!”

About: I have my own dog named Jake, he is now entering his senior years and just turned 13 this past December. I’ve had him since he was about a year old and we’ve been able to make lots of great memories together. I’ve worked at multiple grooming salons and have had limited veterinary experience. The vet experience has taught me to provide pets with liquid medication as well as pill medication. I have also raised kittens, not only when I was in school, but I now have my own kitten named Oakey, and she’s a fast growing girl! My own dog has problems with arthritis, so I know how important it is to take care when tending to your pets specific needs. Overall, I have strong love for animals and feel that the care I can provide to them will leave both pet and parent happy. I work full time in a remote setting which allows lot of flexibility location wise. My weekends and evenings are where I’m most available to provide care I currently do not do day care stays at my own home, but for care provided in my clients home I would ask for a list of requests so I can give your pet the care you desire. With my own dog, I’ve found he’s most comfortable in his own home, so I am confident that following your pets normal daily routine is the best way to ensure that they feel comfortable and safe while you are away.
“I'm so glad Brenda was available to help visit my kitty while I was away. I really appreciate the help! She was very kind and responsive. Hope to get her help again in the future!”

About: I’ve grown up having multiple dogs in the household where I participated in training with my mom. And I have dog/cat sat for 4 years, as well as taking the clients on walks and house sitting! I’m currently a student and teaching intern so I still have a flexible schedule with available hours to give the pups lots of attention and care! As I live on a college campus there are lots of dog friendly outdoor spaces. I do not have an animal personally so there will be no issues there.
About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I truly enjoy caring for them. I had the privilege of loving and caring for my own dog for 15 years, which taught me the importance of patience, routine, and giving pets the attention they deserve. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, daycare, overnight care, or a safe place to stay while you're away, I'll treat them like they're part of my own family. I know every pet has a unique personality and routine, so I'll make sure they receive personalized care, plenty of love, exercise, playtime, and affection. My schedule is flexible, making it easier to accommodate your needs, and my home is currently pet-free, allowing me to provide your pet with a calm environment and my full, individualized attention. My schedule is flexible throughout the week and on weekends, allowing me to accommodate a variety of care needs whenever possible. Whether you need regular visits, last-minute help, or care while you're away, I'll do my best to provide reliable, loving care that gives you peace of mind. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are my top priorities. I currently do not have any pets at home, which allows me to give your furry friend my full attention in a calm and focused environment. I also have a backyard space available for safe outdoor time and play. I will care for your pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel secure, comfortable, and loved while in my care.
About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and sizes for over 14 years, including my own high-maintenance Australian Shepherd. She’s now a senior, so I’m experienced with elderly care, administering medications, and keeping up with special diets like grain-free food. I also handle daily routines with multiple dogs, from playtime to basic coat care, and I’ve given eye drops and other meds with no problem. At home, I live with four other dogs, so managing energy, routines, and safety (including pool awareness) comes naturally to me. Whether small, medium, or large, I love helping each dog feel safe, happy, and cared for. I’m patient, reliable, and treat every pup like family! I care for pets daily as part of my normal routine. Since I have flexibility, I can easily adjust my schedule for walks, check-ins, and extended stays, including weekends and evenings! In my home, pets are kept safe with a fenced outdoor patio and supervised play. I’m attentive to routines, can crate if needed, and always provide a clean, calm, and loving environment!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cooper City
I hired Janelle to come by my house while on vacation to check on my 4 cats. She was so nice at the meet and greet and really paid attention to the needs of my kitties. She came to my house and played with them, fed them, cleaned their litter, and refilled their water. She was on time, and did a great job. This was on a holiday as well, so it is nice having someone who can work holidays. It’s so nice having someone who I can trust while I’m away, and I will be hiring her again!! I highly recommend. her.

Rebecca was an absolute rock star! I had a last-minute change with my usual sitter and she came to the rescue. She was quick to respond, provided great updates, and was so kind throughout. Derby had a fantastic time, and I had total peace of mind knowing she was in such great care. We can’t wait to have her back again!

I cannot recommend Richard enough. We are going through a tough time with our baby girl Missy who is a special needs dog that more recently has become immobile. Richard went above and beyond to provide her top notch care while we were out of town for the weekend. Richard helped her with the bathroom, administered medication, and took great care feeding her. We were in a bind and really came in the clutch for us. Thank you for taking great care of our girl Missy! Highly recommend.

Madison took great care of our cats when we went on a trip. She was on time for every feeding, took lots of pictures, and was communicative throughout her time checking in our cats! One of our cats gets a bit excited during feeding time and she handled it well. We will definitely book with her again

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
