Knowing she was looking after our dogs and caring for them while we were out of town was reassuring. Alexandrea was professional, reliable, dependable, and communicative! We will definitely request her services in the future! Also, big shout out to the Rover app! Game changer for us! Very user friendly and trustworthy! Thank you Rover and Alexandrea! You made a difficult situation (being away from our dogs) doable!”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I currently have two bunnies, an 11-year-old male and a 7-year-old female, as well as a 2-year-old male cat. I consider them my actual children and treat them with an incredible amount of love and care. Because I’m a fur parent myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets. I know how much peace of mind comes from knowing that your pets are safe, happy, and in good hands while you’re away. I also regularly care for two dogs for a family friend. One is a senior dog who requires additional support and attention due to medical conditions, including receiving medication throughout the day. The other is an 8-month-old puppy who needs extra supervision, patience, and attention. Caring for them has given me experience with both senior pets who need additional support and young puppies who need more guidance, supervision, and patience. I’m currently attending a professional pet grooming school three days a week during the day. Through my program, I work with many different breeds and personalities and am continually learning how to safely and patiently handle dogs with different temperaments and needs. I also volunteer once a week for three hours during the morning at the Broward County Humane Society, where I help with dog bathing. This experience has helped me become more comfortable working with a variety of dogs and has taught me the importance of patience, communication, safety, and adaptability. If I’m caring for your pet in my home, I have a large fenced-in yard where they can run, play, and enjoy potty breaks. I do have an unenclosed underground pool, so I’m extremely cautious and always supervise pets closely to keep them safe. When caring for pets in their own home, I’m a quick learner and adaptable to their routine and individual needs. I’m comfortable with basic pet care and happy to accommodate special requests with clear instructions. As a fur parent myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets. My goal is to provide loving, attentive care and give both you and your pet peace of mind while you’re away.
“Shannon was caring and loving to our dog. She did an amazing job with him and keeping us informed about him in her visits. We felt at ease living him alone for the first time with her.”

“I was so nervous about using Rover for the first time but Deborah was so nice and understanding. She sent me the cutest pictures and videos of my baby to let me know exactly what was going on everyday. She also went above and beyond and got my mail for me, took beretta for walks, and even cleaned the living room for me to return home. I could not recommend her more to anyone else!!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs for as long as I can remember, especially senior pups who need extra patience, gentleness, and love. Growing up, I had two senior dogs, a 17 year old Poodle and a 15 year old Shih Tzu, so I’m very familiar with caring for older dogs, understanding their routines, and recognizing when they need a little extra support or comfort. I currently have a one-year-old Shih Tzu who I’ve raised since he was a puppy, so I’m experienced with both young, energetic dogs and calmer, older companions. I truly treat every dog as if they were my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I work full-time but only three days a week, which gives me great flexibility for drop ins, walks, and house sitting. I’m reliable, attentive, and happy to follow your dog’s specific routine, whether that means quiet walks, playtime, medication schedules, or just extra cuddles. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority, and I would love the opportunity to care for your fur baby 💕 I work three days a week, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time to provide attentive, reliable care for your pets while you’re busy or away. My home is calm and pet-friendly, and my dog Momo provides gentle companionship for dogs who enjoy being around other pets and friendly playtime together.

“Jill was amazing with our 2 dogs! It was the 1st time using a sitter and was extremely comfortable and satisfied with her. Would definitely consider using Jill in the future should the need arise and highly recommend her to anyone.”

About: Im able to provide daytime, evening and night animal care. Also I’m able to administer medication and ointments per pet owner instructions. All in all I’m able to provide a safe environment where your fur baby can have fun away from home. I’m currently working full time at the moment ,I’m available for boarding after 4:30pm from Tuesday to Saturday and I’m free all day on Sundays and Mondays. I have a fenced patio where your fur baby can enjoy some fresh air safely. If your pet needs to be crated I can accommodate that request

“Gheraldine did a good job with my cat. Feeding daily - changing the water, cleaning the litter box and giving my cat affection. She communicated if she would be late or early. I do recommend her.”

About: I’ve always loved animals and genuinely enjoy spending time with small and medium-sized dogs. I’m patient, attentive, dependable, and understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pet. Whether your pup needs a walk, playtime, feeding, or some extra company while you’re away, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of care and attention. I treat every pet with kindness and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while they’re with me. I’m currently a full-time college student, and pet care fits perfectly into my weekly schedule. I’m available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, as well as Mondays before 3 PM, for dog walks and drop-in visits. I have flexible availability during those times and am happy to coordinate with pet parents to find a schedule that works best for their pups. 🐾 During walks and drop-in visits, I’ll carefully follow all instructions provided by you, including feeding routines, walking preferences, and any special care needs. About: What sets me apart is the level of care, attention, and patience I give every pet. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to leave your furry family member with someone you can trust. I treat every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I take the time to learn each pet’s unique personality, routine, and needs. Whether that means keeping up with feeding schedules, going on walks, providing playtime, giving extra attention to senior pets, or simply offering companionship and comfort, I believe every pet deserves personalized care. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive to the little details that make pets feel happy and secure. I understand that every pet is different, and I’m committed to following your instructions carefully while making sure your pet feels at home. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is being loved and cared for. While I’m new to Rover, I’m excited for the opportunity to build trust with families and create a positive experience for both you and your pets. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I enjoy spending time with animals and creating a calm, caring environment for them. I’m able to dedicate time each day for walks, playtime, feeding, and providing companionship while making sure each pet’s individual routine is followed. I live in a house with a backyard. Big space for your pup to run around in. I provide a calm and welcoming space where they can relax, play, and receive plenty of affection. I understand that every pet has different needs, so I adjust my care based on their energy level, age, habits, and personality.

Thank you for taking such great care of Joey!! Marianne was very flexible in accommodating a last minute request and did a wonderful job making sure he ate and got out and peed/pooped (despite the pouring rain!) I’m grateful for her care & attention to detail and know Joey was thrilled to see her!

Sabrina has been absolutely wonderful with Cali! 🐾❤️ She is reliable, caring, attentive, and treats Cali so good! I felt comfortable knowing Cali is in such good hands when she’s with Sabrina. It’s clear that she genuinely loves animals and goes above and beyond to make sure Cali was happy, safe, and well cared for. I highly recommend Sabrina to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and loving to care for their fur baby! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bianca was absolutely amazing! She did drop-in visits with our dog, Kash, while we were out of town, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She provided great updates after every visit, kept us informed on how he was doing, and followed every instruction we left for his care. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Kash was in good hands while we were away. We would definitely book with Bianca again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and attentive to care for their fur baby! 🐾❤️

Nathalya was wonderful! She was very thorough and took excellent care of my two cats. When I returned the house was clean and no "Hair balls" or other goodies found. Would definitely recommend her as a pet sitter as she is caring and efficient. Thank you and hope to use her again for other travel plans.

Jill went over and above to care for our two golden retrievers! This was our first time leaving our dogs at home overnight— and for 3 days . It was such a comfort to know that Jill was stopping in to care for them throughout the day. They are happy & well cared for- highly recommend!

Stephanie was kind, caring, punctual and super attentive to my 2 kittens. We hired her services for 8 1 hour drop-in visits. Sent updates every single time w photos! Grabbed mail for us everyday. She discovered a pool leak and quickly stopped it with some over the phone guidance, thankfully. We were so relieved. She is highly recommended -hope you get a chance to hire this loving human for your fur babies. 5 stars plus plus plus! Thank you Stephanie!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
