About: Hi, I’m Melissa! With a lifetime of experience caring for animals, I’m passionate about providing safe, compassionate, and enriching care for your pets. I grew up with dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, and even amphibians, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of animal friends. I spent two years working at an animal shelter, where I gained hands-on experience with animals of all kinds. I also worked as a professional dog walker and pet sitter for another company for two years. During this time, I honed my skills in animal behavior, giving me valuable insight into how to keep pets happy and stress-free. In addition to a degree in biology, I have four years of volunteer experience in wildlife rehabilitation, which deepened my understanding of animal care and wellbeing. I’d love the opportunity to care for your pets like my own and give them a wonderful experience while you’re away! Pet care is something I truly enjoy and look forward to as part of my routine. I'm available throughout the day and can accommodate up to 3–4 visits daily to fit your pet's schedule. Whether your pet needs potty breaks, feeding, playtime, medication, cuddles, or exercise, I'm committed to providing reliable, personalized care. For dogs with a little extra energy, I'm also happy to offer runs instead of walks. My goal is to make every visit a positive experience and help your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. In my clients' homes, I aim to make pets feel as comfortable and secure as possible. I follow their usual routines, from feeding schedules to favorite playtime activities, and I pay close attention to any special needs or preferences they have. About: I have taken care of pets for 23 years! I also have experience in watching friend’s pets around DC. I’m excellent at playing with pets and also very responsible in caring for them. I am able to care for pets in between working on projects. I’m a freelancer, so I have lots of flexibility in my schedule that I can use to come watch pets! I keep my responsibilities on a timed schedule, so I never forget to take dogs on a walk or feed cats promptly. I am very energetic and love to play around, if the pet is interested.

About: I have spent years caring for the dogs of friends and family, and I’ve realized there is nothing I enjoy more. Since my current apartment doesn't allow pets, I have a "dog-sized hole" in my life that I’d love to fill by caring for yours! Being self-employed gives me a very flexible schedule, allowing me to prioritize your dog’s routine—whether they need a long midday trek or a dedicated house sitter to keep them company while you’re away. As a self-employed professional, my schedule is very flexible, allowing me to easily integrate pet care into my daily routine. Since I work from home and cannot have dogs in my own apartment, I treat my walks and house-sitting bookings as my primary motivation to get outside for walks. My priority is maintaining your dog's familiar routine to keep them stress-free. I provide dedicated companionship, and because I am self-employed, I can often bring my work with me to ensure your pet isn't left alone for long periods.

About: As of recent, I no longer have any pets of my own full-time and will enjoy getting to spend time with yours! I have had pets almost all of my life, and always more than one at a time. I have experience caring for cats, dogs, small indoor pets, and birds. I also provide care for chickens, and feeding care for horses, goats, and sheep. For the past 8 years I have done overnight, extended stay pet sitting, drop in care, and boarding in my home for dogs or small animals who come with their home (for example guinea pigs). I can also provide transportation and care for animals attending special occasions or wanted as a part of photos (for example at a wedding). I have experience giving both oral and injected medications to dogs and cats. I work full time 8:30 - 4:30 but do work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I can provide care before and after work as well as during the days when I work from home. I am also free most weekends. Because all animals are different, my first priority is to provide the type of care and services specific to their individual needs. I do have a large yard, but it is not fenced in. I love to go on walks / hikes with dogs.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 13 when my family got our first dog. I take her on plenty of walks, watch her, and bathe her. I have pet sit for family members and friends pets. I have a fairly open schedule, my week includes nannying as well as a few college classes. Let me know what works best for you. I will care for any of your pets needs, whether that means walking, feeding, or watching them. I will make sure your fur baby gets all the attention in the world.

About: I have worked with three doggy daycares with different social settings and dynamics small groups to groups of 45. We are trained to care for dogs, of any breed. Poop, or throw up I can handle it. I work part-time my schedule shifts, are Tuesday, and Sunday. However, I can change my shifts to meet your schedule needs. never be afraid to ask and always ask me a week in advance. I have been trained through three different doggy daycare programs that have introduced different training protocols to understand the needs, health, Dog AID, behaviors, and more of different breeds. Your fur babies or little ones will receive all the love and care they need. I will keep you updated with videos, photos, or even FaceTime to show you how everything is going when I visit a client’s home. I always follow and respect the rules, and if I notice anything unusual, I will report it and ask questions, because your pets’ well-being is my top priority.

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life. I adopted my first dog, Ziggy in 2009. Unfortunately, Zig had special needs that cut his already short life even shorter. I made sure his days were filled with love, fun and all of the special care he needed. Ziggy inspired me to go on to adopt a kitty, eventually another dog and volunteer with a rescue. Animals are such sweet souls that can teach us so many things. I’m currently available for dog walks and drop in visits during the day and night on weekends. I’m also available weeknights at the moment for both as well. I’m available for walks from 30-60 minutes. I’m also able to stop by and do the basics or hang out and watch an episode of the Real Housewives with your fur baby if that’s what they prefer.

About: Hi! My name is Marinda and I chose to be apart of Rover because I have always loved animals. I serve as a manager at a local veterinary hospital and have years of experience when it comes to dog watching. I’m hoping this is an opportunity I’ll be able to take care of others dogs! I have always enjoyed all types of dogs and seem to get along with them all as well. Hope to be able to be apart of your pets life! I am a full time employee who would love to have a second job but doesn’t have the time for it, so, I fill in my easy days with Rover! It’s easy to manage with my own hours! First and foremost I read about the pet and what the owners have to say about them. This will give me a good idea for what I am getting into when I enter the owners house. I will already know how the dogs are going to act and I will be prepared. I never leave the doors unlocked/open unless advised by the owner. I will do exactly what the owner has said to do. I will always double check a dog is secured with their leash when going outside, I will also be aware of the weather and how that might switch the dogs needs when going outside.

I’m currently working 4 AM to 1230 Monday through Thursday and Saturday, but as of April 16, I’ve decided the love and passion I have for caring for your babies excite me a lot more. I will be more available to accompany your needs while you’re away for work or on a vacation with your family, yet I have had many clients& their babies have no issues when I housesit/dog walk.
