Paul was great as the first non-family walker of our six month old puppy. He helped Ollie on his waking protocol and gave him the exercise he needed. We will definitely use him again!

About: • I’ve had and cared for dogs my entire life (~25 years of experience) and cats for the past 10 years • Comfortable with all breeds and ages • Previous dog-walker for an animal shelter • 2 years experience as a veterinary assistant • Specialty: caring for high energy dogs / working breeds (ex: shepherds, malinois, and my own doberman!) • Other skills: animal behavior recognition, training, general first aid, senior and puppy pet care, medication administration/management I currently work part-time, so i have plenty of availability throughout the week, though my work schedule is different each week. Just let me know when you’d like help and we can work together to find what works! I am available for drop-ins. I am NOT available for overnight stays. I understand it can be a weird feeling having a new person come into your home (especially for your pet)! As a guest in your home, I am respectful and patient as your pet gets comfortable with me. I try my best to follow your pets lead, while also being a leader for them. I’ve cared for dogs and cats in other people’s homes many times and prioritize the safety of their home. For example, making sure it’s locked up and left how I found it when i leave, making sure the collars and leashes are secure before walks, and ensuring pets don’t escape when i open the door haha!

About: Hi! I’m Sophie, and I’m a dependable, caring animal lover who would be happy to give your pets the love and attention they deserve while you’re away. 🐾 I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pets in someone else’s care, so I take the time to follow their routines, pay attention to their individual personalities and needs, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m especially comfortable with dogs and love everything from walks and playtime to cozy cuddles and keeping them company. I’m responsible, attentive, and happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. Whether your pup needs a midday walk, a drop-in visit, or someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’d love to help! I have a flexible schedule and can easily fit pet care into my daily routine. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits and can adjust my schedule to accommodate each pet’s needs and routine. I’ve grown up around many different types of pets, so I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs. In a client’s home, I make sure to follow their usual routine, keep their space clean and comfortable, and give them plenty of attention and care while their owner is away. I’m always happy to follow specific instructions to make sure each pet feels safe and comfortable.

About: Being with animals isn't a job for me, it's my favorite thing to do! I've grown up with animals around me my whole life, and I started walking dogs when I was 16. Almost 20 years later I am still loving on pets whenever I can. I currently own a Bearded Dragon and a senior pup - But I owned special needs kitties for 19 years. Here's some about me and my experience! 70% of my one-time clients have booked me again or become regular clients! Please reach out with any questions on rates, experience, or anything else you want to discuss! Pet Care Experience: - Dogs: Puppies older than 6 months, juveniles, adults and seniors - Cats: Kittens older than 8 months, juveniles, adults and seniors - Small mammals like guinea pigs, hamsters - Reptiles like Bearded Dragons and Leopard Geckos - Fish What can I do that sets me apart? - Medication administration with mild- to moderate-tempered cats (oral, topical, injection) - Experience with Separation Anxiety, high-energy, and pets that don't do well with other animals (keeping walks, etc safe!) - Experience with multi-pet homes and environments. I've watched 13 cats and 2 dogs in the same home once! - Manual feeding assistance for sick pets - LOTS of attention. My visits are longer than most as I love to just sit with pets and give them attention in the ways they need or want. For overnight stays, I'm a homebody so I love to stay at the house and just hang out with the animals! - A LOT of Flexibility: I don't work full-time right now, and my sleep schedule isn't regular. This means I have no issues with adjusting schedules even last minute. Need me to come earlier? Or come back when your flight is cancelled? No problem. - *Cat Whisperer* I have been told by most of, if not all, cat clients that are standoffish like me quicker or more than a normal stranger. I love cats the most, so I think they can sense it ;) - *Coming Soon* Insurance for your pet and home during my stays! Any tips will be going towards that and training classes so I can grow. About me: - I've lived in WI since 2009 - I have 18 years of working experience - clerical, customer, administrative and sales support, retail - In my free time I like going to concerts, listening to music and doing crafts/projects, playing video games or hanging out with my friends and family Currently my schedule is completely open! I am flexible for even last minute bookings or changes. I have my own transportation and things are taken care of for me at home. So long stays, short stays or visits work for me. I work around whatever needs you and your pets have so make sure everyone is as comfortable as possible. I'll ask for a digital or typed/written instructions so I can follow them to the letter! I keep areas clean and make sure everything is secure before I leave a home. I also always send a "closing" message for overnight stays with details like mail collection etc! Your pet's safety and your ease of mind are my top priorities.

About: Hey there! I am a Professional Certified Dog Trainer (Knowledge Assessment) specializing in positive reinforcement methods. I have experience with a variety of behaviors and breeds through previous dog walking, fostering, shelter dog training, and private dog training. My own rescue pittie came with very intense reactivity which we were able to work on extensively, so I’m more than happy to extend my services to pets with potentially difficult behavior needs. I intend to treat each pet as though they were my own and ensure they are safe and that we have a blast together! Can’t wait to meet your pup and please reach out with any questions! I am currently a full-time remote, freelance worker . This allows me to offer flexible scheduling and dedicated, quality, focused time with your pets . I have access to a yard that is not fenced in, but provides quick and convenient leashed potty breaks and lots of nature watching either on the deck or roaming supervised on a long leash in the grass. I constantly have my head on a swivel due to my training so I am ready for any unexpected events. I am skilled with crate and other preventative/maintenance method training. Flexible to meet whatever special needs your pet has while in my care.

About: As of recent, I no longer have any pets of my own full-time and will enjoy getting to spend time with yours! I have had pets almost all of my life, and always more than one at a time. I have experience caring for cats, dogs, small indoor pets, and birds. I also provide care for chickens, and feeding care for horses, goats, and sheep. For the past 8 years I have done overnight, extended stay pet sitting, drop in care, and boarding in my home for dogs or small animals who come with their home (for example guinea pigs). I can also provide transportation and care for animals attending special occasions or wanted as a part of photos (for example at a wedding). I have experience giving both oral and injected medications to dogs and cats. I work full time 8:30 - 4:30 but do work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I can provide care before and after work as well as during the days when I work from home. I am also free most weekends. Because all animals are different, my first priority is to provide the type of care and services specific to their individual needs. I do have a large yard, but it is not fenced in. I love to go on walks / hikes with dogs.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
