Paul helped me out a lot in a pinch! It was a last minute booking, I was from out of town, and my family made dinner reservations. Paul was flexible with the times and went out of his way to accommodate our situation.

About: Hi everyone! My name is Alexandra but I tend to go by Lexy. I have had dogs and cats and so many other animals in my household since before I was even born. My mom grew up on a big farm so she was used to being around animals. She wanted to make sure she had the same experience for my brother and I. I have been a part time dog sitter through word of mouth mainly. I just recently graduated from college with my bachelors in Public Health and am looking for a fun filler throughout my summer while I plan next steps. Animals (especially dogs) are my safe space. So please, entrust in me with your fury friend and I promise you will not regret it! I am currently only working part-time on weekends. So schedule is extremely open and extremely flexible. I am also available to do over nights as I have someone at my house who can watch my animals! I will not be offering any services at my own home as I have a pretty full house of animals. To sustain their comfort I want to keep this separate. At my house I have a fenced in yard but a large yard outside that fence the dogs are able to roam. They have an electric fence so they know how far they are supposed to go.

About: Hi, I’m Ellie! A little about me, I grew up surrounded by all kinds of animals from cats and dogs to birds and snakes! And I’ve loved going above and beyond to care for them, for as long as I can remember. I have a 10 year old pup myself (Toby) that has helped me understand the dedication and commitment required when caring for pet; especially during a time that might be a bit difficult or confusing for them. I’ve also learned that each pet has their own personality and I will adapt my care to be able to provide exactly what your pet needs. In addition to pet care, I’ll also be able to provide other house sitting needs such as watering plants, gathering mail or anything else that may be needed.

About: Over 25 years experience. I can provide references if needed, just ask! I've completed over 160 dog walks and just over 90 drop-in doggy visits since January 1, 2021. I enjoy hosting dogs in my home, too, I have many repeat clients :) I have experience with cats, dogs, small animals, birds, reptiles, etc. So if your home has other pets, that will not deter me from coming into your home and caring for your furry family member. I carry extra baggies and a cloth/towel in case we need to wipe down dirty paws from our walk/adventure. Please let me know if you'd like me to walk another dog while I walk yours, I can arrange that. Normally, I focus on one dog at a time but am comfortable with two if necessary. Thank you :) I do work full time (usually until 3pm) but have early mornings and early to late evening hours (4-10pm) to accommodate most animal's schedules. My 2 kids like to help out as well so that is triple the attention for your furbaby right there 😀 When I host a pet in my home they are treated like family. Daily walks and playtime included! Crating your dog will be discussed as I prefer that for sleeping.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Richfield. On Rover:

  • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
