About: Hi, I’m Liz! I’ve cared for all kinds of animals throughout my life and began pet sitting in my neighborhood 20 years ago. Growing up with dogs, cats, and pocket pets, I gained hands-on experience with critters of all ages and sizes, from sibling rats to senior cats to a 90-pound lap dog. One of my earliest pet-sitting jobs involved caring for three dogs and three cats for a month while their humans were in Australia. Most recently, my partner, Logan, and I fostered a nursing mum dog and her seven newborn puppies for eight weeks through Asheville Humane Society. That experience included round-the-clock puppy care, oral medication, weaning, training, socialization, and helping eight dogs safely share a home with our resident cat, Helly! Logan and I both work from home and genuinely enjoy having animals around, whether that means exploring outside or simply providing a cozy place to nap nearby. With compassion and patience, we love getting to know each pet’s unique personality, routine, and favorite things so they can feel comfortable and at home with us. My partner and I both work from home, so pets fit naturally into our daily routine and are rarely without company. We’re homebodies who genuinely enjoy having animals around, with plenty of time throughout the day for potty breaks, playtime, leisurely walks, meals, snuggles, and naps. Since every pet has their own routine, personality, and comfort level, I take time to understand what helps each one feel safe and at home. We have a fully fenced yard and a pet-friendly home with plenty of room to play, relax, or enjoy their own space when needed. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine and any care instructions you provide.

About: I've been a dog lover and owner for more than 25 years and have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors. My first two dogs lived to be 16 years old, giving me firsthand experience with the patience, attention, and extra care senior dogs often need. Today, I share my life with Bailey Love, my 5½-year-old rescue pup and adventure buddy. We spend lots of time exploring the trails and woods around Asheville, and it's where he's happiest. Bailey is friendly, well-trained, and loves making new friends...both human and canine. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, outdoor adventures, playtime, or simply curling up for a nap, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you're away. I treat every dog as family and will provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in good hands. Administering meds will be an additional $10-$20, depending on meds and frequency. ***For overnight stays, Bailey would be with me - he is great with cats; he has grown up in a house with 3+ cats and litters of kittens and pups.*** I own my own business and teach yoga, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for pets throughout the day. You'll often find me on the trails with my dog, Bailey Love, exploring the woods and soaking up nature. If your dog enjoys walks, hikes, sniffing every leaf, and outdoor adventures, we'll have a wonderful time together! For pets who prefer a slower pace, I'm equally happy providing cuddles, companionship, and calm care at home. 🐾💜 Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. If your pet stays in my home, they will be treated like family. While I do not have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is supervised. Dogs can enjoy walks in my neighborhood, adventures on local trails, or relaxing time outside on a lead if they enjoy being outdoors. When caring for pets in your home, I will treat your space with the same respect and care I give my own. I understand the trust involved in welcoming someone into your home and caring for a beloved family member. For drop-in visits, I often have the flexibility to stay a little longer when schedules allow. As a business owner, I can sometimes bring my laptop and work from your home while spending extra time with your pet, offering additional companionship, playtime, cuddles, and comfort while you're away. My goal is to help your pet feel safe, loved, and as relaxed as possible until you're back home.

“My dog seemed to really enjoy her time with Marnette, David, and Gouda. This was the first time we had our dog stay with someone who we didn’t know personally. I was nervous, but Marnette and David took very good care of our dog. They are trustworthy and kind. We appreciated check-ins and pictures in the morning and at night. Highly recommend!”
