About: As a person who has been the primary care taker of my pets since I was 8, I know the right way to take care of animals and know how hard it can be to find quality care for our furry friends. With 2 cats of my own and with several previously owned dogs, I know I can provide excellent care to all kinds of animals! I also have a Veterinary Assisting degree, so also being able to alert owners of any health issues to be wary of is something I take seriously! Pet care is a daily task, as such I am able to do daily walks and be able to do other care tasks throughout the day so that your pet feels enriched and loved even when you’re away. I understand dog behavior to a good degree as I studied it while in school to earn my degree, so being able to safely walk a dog even if they are reactive is something I feel comfortable with.

Today, my wife and I care for our Australian Cattle Dog, Dakota, whom we adopted when she was a year old. Training Dakota has given me valuable experience in understanding canine body language, behavior, and communication. I’ve learned how to recognize signs of stress, excitement, fear, and overstimulation, and how to respond in a calm, positive way to help dogs feel safe and comfortable. I’m currently a full-time online student and teach online part-time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pup! I can build my own schedule, so I'm fully available. I’ll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, potty breaks, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any other routines that are important to your pet. Whether I’m stopping by for a visit, taking your dog on a walk, or staying in your home, I’ll treat your pet with patience, kindness, and the same level of care and attention I’d want for my own.
