We did have a family member housesitting for us, but they were gone most of the day for work so we had Lacie stop by to check on them and let them out every other day. She went above and beyond! She showed up on days we couldn't originally afford or schedule, just because she truly cares. She also helped with cleaning up the dog area and other little things that we didn't ask for. About: I've cared for animals my entire life, including dogs, cats, rabbits, ducks, and farm animals, and have lived on homesteads where animal care was part of daily life. Before settling in beautiful Brevard, I spent 1.5 years full-time house and pet sitting while traveling. During that time, I completed over 30 assignments with consistently 5-star reviews. That experience instilled the importance of leading with a genuine heart, trustworthiness, good communication, and consistency when caring for someone’s home and beloved pets. About: I grew up with dogs and currently have a 2 yr old mix from the shelter! I trained him myself and genuinely get so much enjoyment seeing him enriched and loving life. My work schedule is very flexible! I work from home so I’m able to move my work around whatever works best for your pup! I walk a ton! I’ve found so many great walking paths throughout town and I would love to take your pup on a walk with tons of new smells!

About: I’ve been a veterinarian for 5 years, driven by a love of animals! I grew up with and have always shared my life had dogs. Sadly, my dog passed away some months and I’m really missing the company. I am new to Brevard and would love to explore the beautiful scenery with your dog! I’m currently between jobs and very flexible with hours and days of the week so I can adapt to you and your dog’s needs and normal routine. As a veterinarian I am very comfortable with all breeds and ages of dogs, as well as with those that may need special care. I provide super attentive care for your fur babies. I always put in a little extra cause they all absolutely deserve the best. I can handle large dogs that are strong as well as many quirks and behavioral qualities. My approach is always love and patience dogs. I work four at a coffee shop four days a week. I’m available Wednesday through Friday full time and then evenings Saturday through Tuesday. For me to provide excellent care, I aspire to make your pets time with me as comfortable and stress free as possible. I am very attentive and I like to cultivate a calm environment while you have to be away.

About: I love cats. Especially the type that wants to curl up next to me. Do to my boyfriend having an allergy to cats we currently don’t have any. But I don’t mind dropping in and taking care of the fur babies. I’m currently a 911 Dispatcher for Transylvania County. I work every other week there. (Week on; week off) I will post my monthly schedules that way you can know if I’m a best fit for you. I would prefer not to have other dogs at my home. Due to one of my dogs not being all that friendly. But do not mind going to other homes and taking care of dogs through out the week.

About: I have owned dogs my entire life with many cats in between. I have had the pleasure of sitting dogs and cats all over the country, including house sits in California, Oregon, Washington, and now North Carolina. I have experience with young puppies, as well as elderly dogs with a plethora of health problems; I also have experience with big dogs like German shepherds, Australian shepherds, and Rottweilers, to teacup Pomeranians, spitz, and many more. I have been told I’m very high energy and fun, and the animals I have looked after always seem to pick up on that great energy and can’t wait to hang out. :) I sell vintage clothing, so being self employed allows me to better accommodate to all the needs of the animals. In our own home, our dog Endo is the King. He gets to enjoy long daily walks amidst the beauty of DuPont forest, swims in the lake behind our house, and nightly fresh cooked meals. My services on house sits include obviously feeding and general care of the animals, as well as promptly following specific dietary regimens and health requirements of every animal. I have cared for very old dogs that needed assistance in bowel movements as well as simple motivation for stubborn dogs that don’t like to walk. I have also looked after countless plants and hot tubs, ensuring proper watering and chlorination.

My son and I have two dogs ourselves and love to stay active-walks in the woods, runs in the neighborhood, or hikes up the mountain. About: I’ve had pets ever since I was really young and always wanted to get into the field of working with animals. I’ve taken care of a variety of animals from dogs to bunnies to guinea pigs and almost all of them have lived a very long life. I’m always excited to see any animal and work with them no matter what kind they are. I look forward to seeing every animal that comes my way and taking care of them as if they wear my own. I am currently working a part-time job, but I hope to transition to make this my part-time job. I am available and home every day of the week except Sunday (when I make this job my only job) and I’m home almost every hour and I will always make time for your pet. Well, the yard is on a hill and not fenced. I do have one dog three years old very friendly to keep any animal company. And if your dog needs to be in a crate. I can very much do that.

About: I have been a professional animal sitter for the past 15 years in Brevard NC and we've pretty much seen it all. I have a passion for animals and I have wonderful references. Some of my clients have been with me for all 15 of those years. I have sat for homes with cats, birds, dogs, rodents, reptiles, horses, goats, and chickens.
