About: I've cared for animals my entire life, including dogs, cats, rabbits, ducks, and farm animals, and have lived on homesteads where animal care was part of daily life. Before settling in beautiful Brevard, I spent 1.5 years full-time house and pet sitting while traveling. During that time, I completed over 30 assignments with consistently 5-star reviews. That experience instilled the importance of leading with a genuine heart, trustworthiness, good communication, and consistency when caring for someoneâs home and beloved pets. I especially enjoy dog walking and in-home pet care. Daily walks are one of my favorite parts of this work - whether in local parks, on trails, or simply around the neighborhood. I also provide attentive drop-in care that helps pets stay comfortable and on routine in their own home, while their owners are away. I appreciate taking the time to understand each petâs personality, needs, and routines so they feel safe, understood, and well cared for. Whether itâs exercise, companionship, feeding, or simply keeping their day consistent, I aim to provide genuine, attentive care that gives both pets and owners peace of mind. I also have experience caring for senior pets and those who need a gentler pace. For cats, I provide calm, attentive in-home visits that respect each catâs personality and need for space. I follow their lead and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while youâre away. Please note that my 6-year old does accompany me on dog walks, drop-in visits, and overnights. They are very comfortable with animals and always under my supervision, but please ensure your pets are comfortable with children prior to booking. Thank you for considering me - I look forward to caring for your pets as if they were my own. Iâm a homeschooling mother, which gives me a flexible daily rhythm that allows for regular walks and outdoor time. I genuinely enjoy being outside with dogs for walks and/or playtime, and ensuring each pet receives calm, attentive, and loving care. My 6-year-old does accompany me on visits and is always closely supervised and wonderful with animals. Please ensure your pets are comfortable with children prior to booking. I view pet and house sitting as a responsibility and privilege. I understand I am caring for what people value and cherish most, and I take that trust seriously. I provide attentive, reliable care and aim to ensure pets are safe, comfortable, and well looked after in a calm and enriching environment. I take time to understand each petâs routine, personality, and care instructions so their day-to-day life remains consistent and familiar while in my care.

âLouise is obviously a dog person. I appreciated having a meet and greet before hand. My pup felt immediately comfortable with her and so did I. Louise showed up when she said she would, took time for walks and play and my pup and home were in great shape when i got home. I will definitely use her again when in area.â

About: I have been a professional animal sitter for the past 15 years in Brevard NC and we've pretty much seen it all. I have a passion for animals and I have wonderful references. Some of my clients have been with me for all 15 of those years. I have sat for homes with cats, birds, dogs, rodents, reptiles, horses, goats, and chickens. I have one large sweet golden retriever who can stay with my brother on his farm if it is an issue for your pet(s). My husband and I work as a team to ensure all goes smoothly. Come meet us or give us a call to set up an interview and see why people come back! Hope to hear from you, Betsy Watson
âI am so glad we found Ashlee. She arrived on time and immediately connected in a lovely way with my pup, Murphy. I was able to accomplish my errands with my mind completely at ease. Ashlee is kind friendly capable and experienced. I highly recommend her services.â

âAlexis is always fantastic with my German Shepherd. They have lots of fun walks and playtime together. I could not imagine a better person to take care of her!!!â

About: I have owned dogs my entire life with many cats in between. I have had the pleasure of sitting dogs and cats all over the country, including house sits in California, Oregon, Washington, and now North Carolina. I have experience with young puppies, as well as elderly dogs with a plethora of health problems; I also have experience with big dogs like German shepherds, Australian shepherds, and Rottweilers, to teacup Pomeranians, spitz, and many more. I have been told Iâm very high energy and fun, and the animals I have looked after always seem to pick up on that great energy and canât wait to hang out. :) I sell vintage clothing, so being self employed allows me to better accommodate to all the needs of the animals. In our own home, our dog Endo is the King. He gets to enjoy long daily walks amidst the beauty of DuPont forest, swims in the lake behind our house, and nightly fresh cooked meals. My services on house sits include obviously feeding and general care of the animals, as well as promptly following specific dietary regimens and health requirements of every animal. I have cared for very old dogs that needed assistance in bowel movements as well as simple motivation for stubborn dogs that donât like to walk. I have also looked after countless plants and hot tubs, ensuring proper watering and chlorination.
âAlan was great with the pups! He saved me in a pinch and took such great care of my babies! They loved him from the second they met him! Definitely an amazing person to have in charge of your puppies!â

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
