“Savanah has been great with our three pups! She is confident, friendly, and reliable. She easily takes care of our elderly dog’s needs, as well as our higher energy/younger ones. Her communication is also excellent. I felt comfortable leaving my babies with her right away. We’re so glad we found her.”

“Alexis was wonderful her second time seeing Maggie on short notice. I truly appreciate her attention to detail and taking Maggie out for a walk over to the nearby park. Above & beyond. :)”

“I highly recommend Laina. I hired her to take and pickup Peace at daycare. Peace has anxiety and Laina was very gentle with him. She has patience, compassion and very understanding…..which is what I need when it comes to Peace. Thank you Laina! 😊👏😊👏😊👏👏👏👏❤️”

“My puppies are so happy and chill after their walks with Alexis. Alexis sends me the route, distance, and a pic. Pups like her so much they wait for her on her days off! So glad I did this for us.”

“Cannot say enough good things! Isabella was communicative, timely, kind as can be, flexible, easy going, and just wonderful with my baby boy! She let him lead the way to his favorite walking place, indulged his sweet, silly, good nature, and had us at ease immediately. Thank you so kindly, Isabella!”

About: I've grown up with several cats. My best friend and the love of my life is a tabby cat I've had since I was 12 years old. I didn't have a dog growing up but I frequently cared for my neighbors Great Pyrenees. My first dog as an adult was a rescue coonhound mix and my current dog is a purebred Redbone Coonhound. I live in an apartment with 2 cats and a dog. I work part time at Food Lion, but I'm wanting to be a full-time pet sitter. Humans are too complicated for me. Plus it gives me the opportunity to spend more time with my dog! I live in an apartment but I'm very active. I utilize all the trails and parks in the area and I bring along my buddy Cheeto, a foster Redbone Coonhound who loves other dogs, as well as my new puppy!
About: What sets me apart as an exceptional sitter is my unique ability to handle challenging situations. Having nurtured a rescue who struggled with trust, I understand the patience and empathy required for such cases. Moreover, my experience transitioning from Asheville to Marion equips me with diverse skills adaptable to various environments. I excel in not only basic care but also in providing specialized attention tailored to individual needs, be it working with energetic puppies or ensuring the comfort of senior animals. Given my current availability, pet care seamlessly integrates into my daily routine. With a flexible schedule, I can ensure ample time for both your dog and cat, catering to their individual needs. My commitment to structured activities and routines guarantees a stable and enriching environment for your pets. In both my home and yours, pet safety and comfort are paramount. At my place, a secluded yard and an invisible fence guarantee a secure outdoor environment for playful activities. In your home, I prioritize creating a familiar setting, maintaining routines, and implementing any necessary safety measures, ensuring your pets feel at ease and well-cared for.
About: i don't have a lot of experience in dog care other than taking care of friends dogs or the last few years, but i love being around dogs and really care about getting them out and giving them the exercise and social experiences they need. I love to take dogs our on runs and give them social opportunities with other dogs. I love animals and would love to be given the opportunity to love yours. The majority of my work is all open ended and very flexible. I can work pet care into all aspects of my life. There isn’t a lot that i’m doing currently that can take my attention away from your pets. I will not be bringing any pets to my house, but i will come to yours and do over night stays, extended stays, or walk your dogs if you will be out for more than 4 hours at a time. I will make sure your dogs and cats get clean fresh water and fed by whatever times you wish. i will keep the liter box clean and the yard clean as well.
“Our dog took to Ashlee like she was family. She was always there when she planned to be and the communication was excellent. We are so grateful for her professional approach and hometown kindness. Well done!”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember and have years of experience caring for them through every stage of life. Today, my wife and I care for our Australian Cattle Dog, Dakota, whom we adopted when she was a year old. Training Dakota has given me valuable experience in understanding canine body language, behavior, and communication. I’ve learned how to recognize signs of stress, excitement, fear, and overstimulation, and how to respond in a calm, positive way to help dogs feel safe and comfortable. Whether we’re out on walks, visiting public places, or relaxing at home, I’m always attentive to a dog’s needs and surroundings. I’m comfortable following feeding schedules, administering basic care, maintaining routines, providing exercise and enrichment, and giving each dog the patience and attention they deserve. Every dog has a unique personality, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel happy, secure, and loved. Above all, I believe every pet should be treated with the same care, respect, and affection that I’d want for my own! I’m currently a full-time online student and teach online part-time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pup! I can build my own schedule, so I'm fully available. I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in the comfort of their own home and follow their normal routine. My goal is to provide dependable, personalized care that helps them feel safe, relaxed, and loved while you’re away. I’ll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, potty breaks, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any other routines that are important to your pet. I pay close attention to body language and behavior so I can make sure your dog is comfortable and enjoying our time together. Whether I’m stopping by for a visit, taking your dog on a walk, or staying in your home, I’ll treat your pet with patience, kindness, and the same level of care and attention I’d want for my own. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
