“Alexis did a great job watching my dog Elroy for 3.5 days while we were away. She sent us updates and photos and let us know how he was getting along with the other dogs she was watching. I felt very comfortable leaving my baby with her and he came back tired and happy. I’ll definitely be returning next time I need someone.”
“Erin took great care of our sweet dog, Lily. She was easy to communicate with, replied quickly, and sent pictures to let us know how much fun Lily was having playing in the river with Erin. I will be using her again, soon, and would highly recommend her to anyone!”
“Bella seemed to really enjoy her stay with Kali! My fiancé and I really appreciated Kali’s responsiveness and willingness to work with our schedules. She even sent us a picture showing Bella settled in bed which we greatly adored. Thanks Kali!”

“Jeremy, Katie, and their sweet son made our Sunny feel right at home! We loveeeed getting all the pictures and videos sent to us of his stay with them! We actually looked forward to all the pictures and was such a pleasant bonus getting to see your fur baby getting well taken care of and could see them having a good time. We definitely will be using their boarding again for him!”

“Sarah watched our dog for two nights while we stayed at the Grove Park Inn. This was a great option since the hotel pet fee was $350! Thank you, Sarah, for caring for our pup!”

“Another wonderful stay with Maria and Jose! They receive my highest recommendation! I am so grateful for their daily communication with pics and videos. Their attention to detail is exceptional! It is a huge comfort knowing that my pup is in the best of hands when I travel. Thank you again, Maria and Jose!”

“Terri and her husband were so SWEET to me and Ares. They have the best little farm for my dog to run around on. He had the best time staying with them and I would absolutely use her again. They are such kind people!”

“Sharon is the kindest and most attentive sitter we could ask for! Our pup clearly loved being there and it really helped us relax on vacation knowing our sweet girl was in good hands.”

“Adaira is incredible! She is calm and open. We were prepared to meet their other two dogs and Koda then joined the pack for 10 days! We quickly built trust and understanding. She even gave him some flair on Halloween and did a photo shoot 🎃 I truly cannot recommend her services enough. Koda got to go on plenty of adventures. I am so grateful! He loves her much. He made sure to say goodbye before he hopped in the car. Being such a smart dog, I can tell how much rapport they built.”
“Paul is the best. My normally anxious dog LOVED being part of Paul’s family: lots of love and attention plus Paul kept us up to date with pics and messages. His house and yard are IMMACULATE and full of toys for doggies . Lots of inviting dog beds and blankets too! Paul is a TREASURE… that’s what my dog told me!”

“Connie and Ron have a great house and backyard, and were very welcoming to my little furball. I received several updates and videos during my trip and they were very responsive when I checked in. Thanks so much for taking care of my baby!”

“Great Experience! While watching my puppy over the weekend they provided consistent updates the entire time. I really appreciated the regular photos and messages that gave a peace of mind knowing my puppy was doing well while I was away. My puppy also got a ton of playtime and attention!”

“I hesitate to leave a review for Laura lest she become so popular that she’s unable to care for my dog. Laura was born to work with animals. She was fully beamed in to Rigatoni’s needs and moods and he came home happy and relaxed. Laura kept me updated on how Rigs spent his days and sent many photos. I’ve been using Rover for years and Laura is far and away the best pet sitter I’ve ever found.”
“Jordan and her family were great! We’ll definitely try to use her services next time. Our trip was a last minute scheduling and she was very accommodating with the meet and greet. She was very responsive and graceful with a lot of last minute changes on our end.”

“Debbie was marvelous! We were a little nervous as our Abbey is a 13 year-old 3-pound chihuahua who is almost blind and Ghirardelli is a 6-pound bouncy poodle. Debbie has four dogs of her own. Two are huge boyzois! No worries-all four of her fur babies were very, very sweet! Debbie cuddled Abbey and our babies slept with her grandson which they absolutely loved!!! We got pics and updates every day. Debbie even waited up for our late flight so that we could get our babies as soon as we got back home. Best puppy B&B ever!!! We will be back, Debbie.”

“We had a wonderful experience with KaLynn on Rover! She cared for our 10-year-old beagle for a full week while we were in Germany, and we couldn’t have asked for a better situation—especially now that he’s in his senior years. In the past, traditional boarding environments were very stressful for him. Being around too many dogs and confined to a suite would cause him to bark excessively, sometimes even losing his voice. We knew we needed something more personal and calm, and KaLynn provided exactly that. Her home environment was perfect—peaceful, welcoming, and much more like what he’s used to. She also has a beautiful, large backyard where he could safely enjoy time outside with a smaller group of dogs, which made a huge difference in his comfort level. Knowing he was in such a caring, low-stress setting gave us real peace of mind while we were away. We’re so grateful for the attention and compassion she showed him. We would highly recommend her and absolutely trust her again with our senior pup! Thank you KaLynn for caring of our boy, Copper!💙”

“Savanah was so responsive to the needs of our cat Arizona and the (Hurricane Helene) foster cat Boulder, who were still getting introduced when we had to leave on our trip. She brushed, petted, played with each one, overseeing their "meetings." She helped us by bringing in the mail and adjusting the curtains morning and evening. Savanah's daily reports were a delight to read, and I sent her photos to Boulder's "mom" as well, which eased her mind considerably! Thank you, Savanah!!”

“Ines did drop in visits with our new adult dog, Ducky, who was working on potty training. And also our other dog, Fievel. She followed the instructions on how to take both of our dogs out to potty in a way that was safe for the two of them! She gave detailed follow ups after each drop in”

“Alexis was AMAZING with our senior girl. She was super attentive and spent a lot of time with all the cats. We really appreciate her time and would definitely book with Alexis again!”

About: What sets me apart is my experience caring for animals who need a little extra patience, attention, and understanding. I have experience working with older dogs and sick animals, which has taught me how important it is to pay attention to the little things and recognize when a pet may not be feeling their best. I understand that every animal has different needs, routines, and personalities, and I’m happy to adjust my care to make them feel safe and comfortable. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or older and needs a slower pace, I’ll treat them with the same care and compassion I would want for my own pets.
“Autumn is a great pet sitter! My cats were well cared for and she sent updates and photos each visit. She responded quickly to any questions and I was confident that my kitties were fine 😻”

“Alex was so friendly and professional. I appreciate his thorough reports and all the photos. Alex made me feel comfortable leaving my kitten, knowing she was in good and capable hands.”

“Susan was extremely punctual and helpful during her drop-in visits and I couldn’t be happier! She went above and beyond making sure the area around the litter box was clean, sending plenty of pictures and keeping my cat well-fed and provided with lots of treats. I’ve got an extremely shy kitty and she made the effort to keep him comfortable without pushing him, the second I got back home he was right back to his happy self. Will definitely book again the next time I need a sitter”

“Constance was great!! I was a bit nervous leaving my kitty after having her for only a month but Constance made sure to play with her and give her plenty of cuddles and attention. She sent great updates and pictures while I was away and I wasn’t worried one bit. She even got my kitty to use her cat tree! I would 100% recommend :)”

“I can't say enough wonderful things about this lovely lady to do her justice! She took such good care of my baby girl! She helped her come out of her shell and was just amazing with her! She cared for her so lovingly and sent me pictures and updates of her throughout the day ! I feel so lucky to have found her!”

“I'm so glad we found Nate!! He was so patient, easy going and communicated every step of the way. He didn't make us feel like our dogs were nuisances or an inconvenience like a previous sitter made us feel. I was so happy to see both my dogs having so much fun running around with Bilbo in the huge fenced in area. Bilbo is the sweetest dog ever! We're going to be repeat customers.”

“There are not enough words to express how grateful and appreciative. I am with all of your pictures and kindness and homemade treats. I can tell gunner had a fabulous memorial day weekend doggy daycare party with you.. thank you again so much and we can’t wait to see you again!”

“Ann & Jaren took such great care of my Lottie girl when I was on vacation to NYC! They kept me up to date with lots of pictures; being that this was the first time we were apart for this long, I really appreciated the photos and care she received. She was in great hands and I 100% will be using them in the future! Thanks again 😊”

About: Hi! We’re an animal-loving family with room to roam and a whole lot of heart. We share our home with three wonderful dogs (a Pointer, a German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix, and an Australian Shepherd) all 7 years and older, plus our cat, Potato. We’re very comfortable managing different personalities, energy levels, and species under one roof. Our dogs are mature, well-socialized, and help create a calm, balanced pack environment. We live on 2 acres with a securely fenced quarter-acre for safe, supervised outdoor play. There’s plenty of space for sniffing, structured exercise, and relaxing in the fresh air. My wife and I are almost always home, so your pet will receive consistent supervision, attention, and affection. We also have a sweet baby, Cooper, who is growing up learning to gently and respectfully love animals. Our home is calm, structured, and family-oriented. In addition to boarding, we also offer drop-in visits for pets who are happiest staying in their own home. Whether your pet needs potty breaks, feeding, walks, medication, or just some companionship and playtime, we’re happy to help. I’m currently a stay at home parent so my schedule is wide open for both days and nights to take on boarding or do visits to other homes. My home has a large fenced area where our three dogs can roam and exercise. I am very reliable and respectful when it comes to entering others’ homes while taking care of their pets.
About: ✨Experienced, loving care & peace of mind✨ I’ve been around and cared for dogs for most of my life, including raising three puppies of my own from the puppy stage up. I have hands-on experience with crate training, potty training, basic commands, leash skills, routines, enrichment, and navigating all of the wonderfully chaotic stages of puppyhood! I currently have a 10-month-old chocolate Lab, so I’m very familiar with energetic young dogs and the patience, consistency, exercise, and attention they need. I’ve also regularly cared for dogs for friends and family and have spent a lot of time learning about canine behavior, body language, training, and positive reinforcement. I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s individual personality and making them feel comfortable, safe, and at home while their people are away. Whether your pup wants to play, explore, snuggle on the couch, or follow me around the house all day, they’ll be treated like part of the family here. 🐶💛 I work part-time, and between my schedule and my husband’s, someone is almost always home! Our schedules complement each other really well, which means your pup gets plenty of company, attention, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and enrichment throughout the day rather than spending long stretches alone. We already structure our days around our own young Lab, so having dogs as part of our daily rhythm comes very naturally to us. On our days off, we love spending time outside, taking walks, exploring local trails, or just having a cozy day at home. No matter what, your pup gets to be part of the family while they’re here. 🐾 Our home is a relaxed, dog-loving environment where we want your pup to feel like part of the family. We live on a quiet cul-de-sac in a safe, very walkable neighborhood with a large yard. While our yard is not currently fenced, dogs are always supervised and leashed outdoors, and I’m very comfortable with leash walking and safely managing dogs outside. We have a young, friendly Lab who loves other dogs and four dog-savvy cats who are accustomed to sharing their home with a pup. Our home is also thoroughly puppy and toddler-proofed, and everyone in our household understands the importance of respecting a dog’s space, body language, boundaries, and individual personality. I’m big on maintaining consistency between your home and ours. If your dog is crate trained or currently learning we’re happy to continue their normal routine. The same goes for potty training, basic commands, feeding schedules, special diets, and any house rules you’re working on. Dogs can be fed separately to ensure everyone eats their own food, and we have an extra crate available or are happy to use your dog’s own crate if that makes them more comfortable. I love providing enrichment beyond simply letting dogs hang out! Depending on your pup, that might include sniff walks, Kongs, lick mats, snuffle mats, sprinkler or kiddie-pool play in the yard, fetch, or supervised creek adventures. With your permission, well-suited pups can also join us for dog-friendly walking trails or an occasional brewery outing. If your dog is happiest staying close to home, we’re just as happy to keep their world quiet and familiar.
“It was great working with autumn, she took care if our shih tzu for 3 weeks. She kept us informed , and was very accommodating for or flight delays and schedule changes. I dog is healthy and happy to see her s back. Thanks for all your help.”
“Lacie was absolutely wonderful to our Cockapoo, Biscuit. We did day care in her home and she has a house perfectly suited to having animals and a huge fenced yard. She clearly loves animals and I’m so glad I found her. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Kaitlyn is a wonderful dog sitter. She sent pictures that showed Abby in various activities throughout the day. It was obvious that Abby enjoyed her time with Kaitlyn, her dog and daughter. She was extremely flexible on the drop-off and pick-up times. This was our first time to use her and she will be our first choice in future bookings. Thank you, Kaitlyn!!”

About: I’ve loved dogs for forever and am happy to share my space and love with yours as long as they are house trained and respectful of my rescue hound. I have a big fenced in yard, work from home, and walk my dog daily (often on hiking trails). Happy to give your dog the same care and attention! Layla has a button she presses when she wants to go outside, I’m working on teaching her the command “shut the door” :) would love to work on training for fun with your dog too! There is plenty of room for crates (if you prefer) & to separate them during feeding time. Dogs are welcome on my furniture including my bed.

“Beth was wonderful with our dog. Mitchie felt right at home before I even left. Beth sent us frequent updates and photos on Mitchie throughout the day that made us feel super comfortable that our pooch was in good hands. We will use Beth's services again while we are in Asheville and we recommend her wholeheartedly.”

“Paul and his fiancé were amazing with our boy, Ezra. As my service dog, he is always with me. There were 2 days of our 16-day vacay that we needed a reliable pet sitter for adventures we couldn’t bring Ezra on: zip-lining in Barnardsville and driving the Blue Ridge Parkway in a 2-seater Polaris Slingshot. Even after a considerately planned meet-and-greet the afternoon before his 1st stay with Paul, Ezra was a little nervous after we dropped him off. Thoughtfully, I received updates and videos to keep me posted. Paul and his fiancé worked with him to build trust and also Ezra’s confidence. By day 2, Ezra did not want his stay to end at pick-up time! When he finally did get in the car, he was happily exhausted and slept the entire drive home. I would definitely reach out to Paul as a pet sitter should the need arise the next time we visit beautiful North Carolina! Thank you both for taking such good care of our Ezra. We truly appreciate all you did to help him adjust and feel comfortable, confident and happy!!! :)”

About: Hi! I might be new to Rover but not pet sitting! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently own two pugs and a soon to be therapy dog named Zoey. I also live with my husband Mike! He is an engineer at Duke Energy & isn’t always home. But I work from home so cuddles are always available for your pup! Beyond caring for my own pets, I’ve volunteered with the Blue Ridge Humane Society and spent several years fostering animals in need, helping them transition into loving forever homes. Through fostering, I’ve gained experience working with shy, energetic, anxious, and special needs pets, always focusing on patience, safety, and positive reinforcement. I understand that leaving your pet with someone else requires trust, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, cuddles, or simply a calm and caring companion while you’re away, my goal is to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Please reach out for special requests. I can try to accommodate such as picking up your pet or dropping you off at the airport. I live 6 minutes away from AVL. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members🐾 I currently work from home so if you have an anxious, high energy, sleepy, and separation anxiety I’m your girl! I am a Rover customer as well so I will your dogs just like I would want another Rover sitter to! All dogs are allowed on the couch & bed! I sleep with my 3 crazy sweet dogs. I do have a fenced yard. We also have a dog park in our community! I take my dogs there every day after work.
“Molly was wonderful to meet and took great care of our GSP. We can recommend her without hesitation. Her pup and ours played so well together. Hope to use Molly’s pet services when we return to Asheville.”

“I'm so happy to have met Alexis! She has been meshing so well with my dog in helping her practice calmness with new situations. I'm happy to see my pup making such good progress. It's just what she needed. Alexis has been wonderfully responsive to suggestions I've wanted to try and she has an innate understanding of animals, as well as a wonderful, calm energy.”

“My puppies are so happy and chill after their walks with Alexis. Alexis sends me the route, distance, and a pic. Pups like her so much they wait for her on her days off! So glad I did this for us.”

“I highly recommend Laina. I hired her to take and pickup Peace at daycare. Peace has anxiety and Laina was very gentle with him. She has patience, compassion and very understanding…..which is what I need when it comes to Peace. Thank you Laina! 😊👏😊👏😊👏👏👏👏❤️”

“Did an amazing job with my furry kids on a last minute notice. Good communicator and got cute pictures. All my animals were happy and comfortable with her. Definitely will be using her again if I need help!”

About: I've been a dog lover and owner for more than 25 years and have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors. My first two dogs lived to be 16 years old, giving me firsthand experience with the patience, attention, and extra care senior dogs often need. Today, I share my life with Bailey Love, my 5½-year-old rescue pup and adventure buddy. We spend lots of time exploring the trails and woods around Asheville, and it's where he's happiest. Bailey is friendly, well-trained, and loves making new friends...both human and canine. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, outdoor adventures, playtime, or simply curling up for a nap, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you're away. I treat every dog as family and will provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in good hands. Administering meds will be an additional $10-$20, depending on meds and frequency. ***For overnight stays, Bailey would be with me - he is great with cats; he has grown up in a house with 3+ cats and litters of kittens and pups.*** I own my own business and teach yoga, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for pets throughout the day. You'll often find me on the trails with my dog, Bailey Love, exploring the woods and soaking up nature. If your dog enjoys walks, hikes, sniffing every leaf, and outdoor adventures, we'll have a wonderful time together! For pets who prefer a slower pace, I'm equally happy providing cuddles, companionship, and calm care at home. 🐾💜 Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. If your pet stays in my home, they will be treated like family. While I do not have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is supervised. Dogs can enjoy walks in my neighborhood, adventures on local trails, or relaxing time outside on a lead if they enjoy being outdoors. When caring for pets in your home, I will treat your space with the same respect and care I give my own. I understand the trust involved in welcoming someone into your home and caring for a beloved family member. For drop-in visits, I often have the flexibility to stay a little longer when schedules allow. As a business owner, I can sometimes bring my laptop and work from your home while spending extra time with your pet, offering additional companionship, playtime, cuddles, and comfort while you're away. My goal is to help your pet feel safe, loved, and as relaxed as possible until you're back home.
“Cannot say enough good things! Isabella was communicative, timely, kind as can be, flexible, easy going, and just wonderful with my baby boy! She let him lead the way to his favorite walking place, indulged his sweet, silly, good nature, and had us at ease immediately. Thank you so kindly, Isabella!”

“I am so glad we found Ashlee. She arrived on time and immediately connected in a lovely way with my pup, Murphy. I was able to accomplish my errands with my mind completely at ease. Ashlee is kind friendly capable and experienced. I highly recommend her services.”

“Alexis did a great job watching my dog Elroy for 3.5 days while we were away. She sent us updates and photos and let us know how he was getting along with the other dogs she was watching. “Sarah watched our dog for two nights while we stayed at the Grove Park Inn. This was a great option since the hotel pet fee was $350! Thank you, Sarah, for caring for our pup!”

“Sharon is the kindest and most attentive sitter we could ask for! Our pup clearly loved being there and it really helped us relax on vacation knowing our sweet girl was in good hands.”

“Carlina was fantastic with Coco! She kept us updated throughout the stay with lots of pictures and messages, which gave us great peace of mind. Coco got along so well with Carlina's dog and seemed to have a wonderful time. Carlina gave her plenty of snuggles, treats, and attention, and it was clear that Coco was very well cared for. We could tell she was happy, comfortable, and loved while we were away. We would absolutely book with Carlina again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter! 🐾❤️”

“My 9 year old baby loves his first stay with Diane while I had to leave for the weekend!! She kept me updated with texts and pics. And he was so well cared for. Can’t wait to bring him back.”

“This is my first time using Rover and we had a wonderful experience with Michelle. From the pictures we received our dog Levi looked like he was on vacation too. He loved swimming in the doggie pool and his hikes. It makes you time away so much more enjoyable when you know your dog is being so well cared for”

“Toby had a great weekend with Ali and Penny. Ali took great care of him, gave frequent updates, and went above and beyond in her flexibility and taking care of our boy. Will definitely be asking her to watch Toby again next time I need a sitter.”

“Buddy had the best time with Kyle and her pup, Louie. They were all fast friends. Kyle was flexible and communicative before and during his stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her again!”

“Caroline is very communicative & friendly. She invited us over for a meet & greet beforehand to ensure Lilly would be comfortable and would get along with her dog Louie. She provided great care for Lilly and sent lots of pictures and messages to let us know how things were going. I would definitely recommend her and will be bringing Lilly back again very soon!”

About: I am new to Asheville, and I’m excited to spend my days exploring the area with your pup by my side! Since my husband works during the day, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your dog the one-on-one attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve; not just a quick visit. I’m also looking forward to learning about different breeds as my husband and I prepare for dog ownership ourselves, so you can trust that I’ll care for your dog with genuine enthusiasm, patience, and lots of love :) I relocated with my husband for his job, so my hours are pretty open with notice for the foreseeable future! I enjoy hiking and walking, so i am happy to combine those activities with taking your pet along :) Your dog will enjoy a calm, comfortable home in West Asheville with plenty of space to relax and receive individualized attention. I typically opt for taking dog walks in parks or hiking trails instead of my neighborhood. Because I’m home during the day, your pup won’t be left alone for long and will receive lots of companionship, play, potty breaks, and affection throughout their stay. I treat every dog like they’re my own, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and right at home.
“Nancy took excellent care of our pup, Lily. We had back to back trips and Lily was incredibly excited when we arrived for her second visit! She clearly enjoyed her time and couldn’t wait to be back with the crew! She rushed off to see her friends. It gave me such peace of mind. Thank you, Nancy, for taking such amazing care of her!”
