About: I’ve been caring for animals for years and love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I’ve fostered 8 cats and 1 dog to date, helping them adjust to new environments and getting them ready for their forever home. I also have two cats of my own and two family cats, so I understand the care, attention, and patience they need. I’m also the go to pet sitter for my friends whenever they’re away. I’m also a certified sitter through Southeastern Guide Dogs, where I’ve cared for and trained puppies and service dogs in training. This has really shown me how to work with dogs of all ages, personalities, and energy levels. I know every pet is unique and I really take the time to understand their needs and personality. I want to make sure your pet is comfortable and cared for, giving you peace of mind and lots of pictures while you’re away! I recently graduated, so I currently have a very flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate my time to caring for pets. Between pet sitting and other flexible work, my routine revolves around the pets I’m caring for, not the other way around. This means I have plenty of availability for drop-in visits, walks, overnight stays, and can easily adapt to your pet’s normal routine! As of right now, I am only able to provide care in my client’s home so pets can stay where they’re most comfortable, but also to ensure that my own cats, who are nervous around other pets, remain comfortable. When caring for your pet, I treat both your home and your baby with the same respect and attention I do my own. I carefully following feeding schedule, medication instructions, walking routines, and any other care preferences you provide. I understand that every pet has different needs, and I take the time to learn their personality, comfort level, and routine so they feel safe while you’re away. Safety really is my number one priority. I’ll make sure doors, gates, windows, and any other areas are secure. I’ll be sure to keep your pet in approved areas, look out for any changes in behavior or health, and send lots and lots of pictures and videos!
“Ashley was amazing. She came the week before to meet us and the dogs. She confirmed appointments, gave us an update after the visit and sent pics. We love her and will be using her again!”

“Wonderful experience with Cheryl! She really took the time to know Leily and made sure she was comfortable with her. It’s clear she cares about our pets! She touched base with me at every visits. Completely trust her and will have her taking care of our girl again.”

“Carly treats my dog as she would her own. She’s patient toward my shy pup and puts in extra effort to make her comfortable. I feel very assured Layla is in great hands when I’m working and would recommend her in a heartbeat.”

“Outstanding. That’s one word I can use to describe Josh. I have two dogs. One is very old, 13. I’m always worried about my golden retriever when I’m away. Josh sent me pictures that reassured me that the older dog was OK daily. He also vacuumed up dog hair, which was a pleasant surprise to come home too. The daily walks and the daily visits are priceless. Thank you Josh!! If you’re looking for a dog sitter, or a realtor Josh is your man. Very pleasant demeanor and very organized. With this type of work ethic, you can’t go wrong with Josh. Thanks again from my family! Tk”

“Patricia was such a great cat sitter! I’m so thankful for her services; she sent me so many pictures and videos that I appreciated during my time away. When I got back home, everything was tidy and the water bowls were full - I knew my cats were in great hands. She gave me such a great first experience with Rover and I look forward to working with her again.”

“Sabrina is very gentle and loving with Susu, I've never seen my cat warm up so fast to a stranger. Sabrina also does an amazing job at effortlessly giving him his required medication, offering him treat rewards, and keeping him happy by giving him enough attention through pets and play time. She's great at making Susu feel less lonely and comfortable, with the way Susu loves sitting on her lap. Will definitely contact her again for future visits!”

“Andrea is prompt and is great with our dog. In addition, she took her time at our initial meeting to get to know Copper and asked a variety of questions to garner as much knowledge as she could about him. Highly recommend!”
“Kat is absolutely wonderful with our dog Maggie. She is reliable, communicative and clearly cares about Maggie’s well-being. It gives me great peace of mind knowing Maggie is in such good hands while I am away!”

“Nicole was absolutely wonderful. She checked in on our 3 cats while we were out of town and provided so much peace of mind. 11/10 so happy to have someone reliable in our rolodex.”

“Brady was AWESOME! She was willing to come for an intro visit to make sure she was okay with Abby and vice-versa, and for us to go through all our instructions, key-leaving, etc. And she faithfully showed up and spent time with our little girl, who was clearly not stressed because she was in great spirits when we got home. She even sent us photos so we could see how well she was doing. So grateful for the peace of mind so we could relax and enjoy our trip without worrying whether or not Abby would be in good hands. We'll definitely hire Brady again next time we need a cat sitter!”
“Claire is the most attentive, thorough cat sitter I have ever had! Claire goes above and beyond to care for my cat and home while I am away. Claire is always my go to for a cat sitter!”

I had wonderful experience with Cheryl. She took excellent care of our cat while we were away. I appreciated regular updates and photos daily. Luke can be shy with new people but he quickly warmed up to Cheryl. We came home to a happy cat and well cared for. I would absolutely recommend her services to anyone looking for reliable and attentive pat sitter. 🐈⬛🐈⬛

Hope is such an amazing pet sitter and just a lovely person overall!!! I have two gerbils, which is a bit unconventional, but Hope took on the challenge with enthusiasm! She was communicative with me before, during, and after visits, always providing me with updates and asking questions to make sure my boys got the best possible care. It was such a relief to know my babies were well-fed, enriched, and happy while I was away. I will absolutely be using Hope’s services for future trips!!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
