“We have used Joanna a few times and she is great! Always very responsive and leaves photos and detailed comments so we know our pup is doing great while we are away.”

“Xingcheng was absolutely fantastic! From the very beginning, communication was prompt, professional, and reassuring. She took wonderful care of my dog and made sure I was updated with photos and messages, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I highly recommend Xingcheng to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter. I would absolutely book with her again without hesitation.”

“When we returned home after 4 days away, Caesar was friendly and happy, so that tells me that Tracy did a nice job visiting, petting and feeding Caesar. Caesar often will not make an appearance for guests but he came right upstairs to see Tracy each visit.”

About: I love furry friends! I’ve taken care of friends’ and relatives dogs and cats since college. I am happy to help you fulfill any of your pets’ needs! I am a teacher during the school year, so I bring patience, reliability, and enthusiasm to pet care. I’m a full time teacher during the school year, so in the summer I have plenty of availability on weekdays mornings, daytime, and evenings. I am also available for pet sitting or walking many weekends. I respect your home by closely following your pet care instructions including any special diet or behavior needs. I have also gone through no harm dog training with my dog, so I am fully at ease dealing with dogs that range from chill to anxious or reactive. As for cats, I am an introvert who is good at reading animal body language, so I will make sure to treat them with care while giving them their personal space.
“Sha was a really great pet sitter for Kulfi. It was easy to communicate with her even during the midst of the holidays which are a very busy time, and everything went really smoothly. Thank you so much!”

About: I have taken care of neighbor's cats since I was 12, providing meals, medicine and love. I have had my own dog for 9 years who I also care for. I volunteered at SAVE animal shelter for 3 years taking care of cats. I just graduated high school so I am free this entire summer before I leave for college in the beginning of September 2026. I work at the YMCA on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4-7 but am free the rest of the week. I can easily take care of the pet in my clients home. I have experience doing so; cleaning litter boxes, taking care of the house, cleaning up messes, and more. I can water plants or provide any other house services while the owners are away.
About: I’ve been taking care of cats/dogs since I was 10! I come from a very pet-enthusiast household and have years of experience playing with, feeding, walking, and caring for animals :) I just graduated from college and plan to spend some time at home — I’m quite active and love to spend time outdoors whenever I’m not working from home. My schedule is quite flexible and I function very well in new environments and routines. First and foremost I will always ask questions! I believe in getting a comprehensive profile of your pet before working with them and tailoring my services to their personality and needs.
“Patricia was excellent with my cats. She followed all my instructions perfectly and my boys seemed very happy when I returned. I would definitely try and have Patricia take care of my cats again in the future.”

“Frida was wonderful with our very shy cat! She tried for 2 days to get him to come out and play and on the third day he did! He played and let her pet him which means he was one happy cat! Frida took good care of him and our house, we highly recommend her and would welcome her back anytime.”

About: I have always loved animals. Beginning in middle school, I would always volunteer at shelters because I saw the great need for help with so many dogs that had been abandoned or rescued from neglect. and I myself decided to adopt a few of them and give them the life meant for a prince or princess:) I am always vigilant to their wellbeing, I love playing with them, they give so much unconditional love. I love my dogs with all my heart. I currently work with an attorney as a paralegal in Princeton Junction, NJ. I get plenty of breaks during the day, and that’s when I take care of dogs! 🐕 🐕🐕 I can always work around your schedule and your needs. I can dog sit at night, and/or overnight boarding, Saturday and Sunday all day:) I am also available during the day to walk dogs and check up on them❤️ My parents have a big fenced in yard, which is great for my 2 dogs to play around. There’s also a big dog park not far for more playtime and there’s plenty of playgrounds too to take the doggies for a walk.
“Taylor was amazing with our dog Oden! He is sometimes reactive to new people but they became fast friends!! He was very communicative and quick to reply. He sent pictures and updates about each visit and even brought in our mail!! We will definitely be booking him again! Thank you so much Taylor! We appreciate you so much.”

“My kitty was very happy when Megan came. She kept us update with pictures and messages. We were able to enjoy our trip knowing our little guy was being taken care of.”

About: Older brother to like, a lot of puppies. I've raised and trained dogs at Cream Puff Labradoodles for 4 wonderful years. I have a passion for animals and all things natural. I've spent 4 years working directly with animals, providing care, medications, cleaning, and training. I am fascinated by animals and nature, and always find myself wondering what they are thinking. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
