“Shannon did a wonderful job taking care of our cats while we were on vacation. She was very responsive during setup, she sent pictures and notes after each visit, and went above and beyond expectations. We would highly recommend her services to anyone.”

About: With years of experience caring for multiple cats and dogs at home, I truly understand their needs and quirks. I also watch dogs of all sizes and ages, ensuring they feel loved and secure in their own environment. I am dedicated to providing the best care for your pets and believe having them stay in a location they are familiar with is the ideal stay. I work from home when booked, allowing me to adjust my schedule to be fully available on booked days. I bring my laptop setup with me and I'm all set. Have an extremely flexible schedule. I take great joy in walking dogs and giving them the attention they deserve, ensuring they feel loved and cared for during their time with me. I watch dogs in your own home to ensure they feel comfortable with an environment they are used to and to avoid any additional stress.
“Emma is fabulous! If you’re looking for a reliable and safe environment for your pet, she’s the one to call. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about dogs and took excellent care of my two labs. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. I’ll definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“We recently had Paulette care for our cat, Lilah, and she was absolutely exceptional. From the very first visit, it was clear how attentive and genuinely caring she is. Lilah immediately took to her—Paulette spent time playing with her, brushing her, and making sure all of her needs were met while we were away. What really stood out were the incredibly detailed updates and photos she sent after every visit. It gave us so much peace of mind to see how happy and comfortable Lilah was in her care. We’ve had many cat sitters over the years, and Paulette is truly the best we’ve ever worked with. Her reliability, communication, and kindness made all the difference. We’re so grateful to have found her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a top‑tier cat sitter.”

“Holly is very responsible, cat loving, and knowing person. She complied with a schedule. Our two cats accepted her from day one. We recommend Holly, and will call her in the future.”

“Frida was great! She watched our cats for over a week, they tend to be shy but warmed up to her and let her pet and play with them by the end. We appreciated the updates and photos she shared as well :)”

About: I have been a pet owner since birth, and know that pets are more like family than anything else. My 2 dogs are like my children, and aren’t treated any less. I believe dogs offer us so much, from unlimited cuddles, to a distraction from a stressful week of work. Furry friends are an ESSENTIAL to any home, and all families. With crazy work schedules and hardly enough time to take care of yourself, it may seem attainable to take on the responsibility that come with owning a dog. I, however, am more than happy to assist you with your pet’s needs. I would love to take your pet on a walk around the town for a little fresh air, as well as give your pet any necessary medication that you may be unable to give due to a interfering schedule. Your dog deserves all the love that they radiate to us, and I am more than happy to provide them with some of that.
“5/5 — Another fantastic experience with Yana! Yana once again went above and beyond. She was 100% responsible, sent complete visit summaries, and shared plenty of photos, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. She cared for our dogs as if they were her own—lots of love, attention, and care for every detail. Our girls absolutely adore her! We trust Yana completely and couldn’t recommend her more highly!”

“Jake really came through in a pinch! I reached out to him same day…on a Friday and asked if he could do a drop in visit for our dog, Pru, at night! Not only did he do it, he also came over earlier that afternoon to meet Pru. Jake is a sweetheart and is so good with dogs. I recommend him highly. Thank you, Jake. Pru love you❤️”

“My senior cats had another wonderful time with Roshni while we were away. Thank you Roshni for pampering our old boy Felix and giving them all the play time, love and care they’re used to. Knowing that our furry babies are left in great hands makes traveling free of worries. You’re one of a kind Roshni !”

“Hannah was a great communicator throughout her visits with my dog. She was very understanding, punctual, and took pictures and took great care of my dog. I look forward to using her again in the future.”

About: As long as I can remember I’ve always loved animals. I’ve always been the first to volunteer to watch family members pets, I myself have a dog named Romeo who I got when I was 4 . He is now and 14 and experiences seizures from time to time so I do have experience with senior dogs and how to care for them. I’m currently a college student majoring in Liberal Arts at Raritan Valley Community College. Pet care fits into my daily routine because it allows a flexible schedule that will not interfere with my classes, aswell as me being able to study and do homework while watching your furry friends. I’m a homebody so you can trust I will be home with your pet the entire time snuggling and playing with them. I also have dogs so I’m familiar with how to crate them, how much they need to go outside, signs of distress, etc. My dog also experiences seizures and takes medication so if your dog has to take medications or has health problems I’m already familiar that.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Neshanic Station
Emma was fantastic with our crew! One of our dogs is very timid and doesn’t feel safe with most people, but he took to Emma right away! She is clearly a natural with animals, and she is extremely skilled on top of that. When our anxious dog did show slight signs of nervousness, Emma knew just how to handle it so that he became comfortable again. Of course our more confident dog and cat were beyond crazy about her! Plus she followed our guidelines perfectly and communication & punctuality were both stellar - a fabulous experience! I can’t begin to express how relaxing it is to be able to leave our animals in such capable & compassionate hands! I have complete confidence in Emma, and I would recommend her highly to anyone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
