Arcadia helped me out with my 4-year-old Border Terrier while we were in town for my job for two weeks. On two different occasions Arcadia came over to keep River company and take her out on walks, and hung out for multiple hours. She was very intuitive and sweet with River, and she was a trustworthy and chill person to have come stay at my Airbnb with my dog. Would definitely recommend Arcadia to anyone who is looking for dog services.

About: I’ve been a dog mom for over 20 years and lost my sweet rescued shepherd collie mix, Roxie, 12 years ago. Since then I’ve found comfort in caring for and loving other people’s dogs. Dogs are the best! I currently work part time teaching a few exercise classes a week, so I have lots of time and attention to devote to your pets. I’m available most days of the week, nights and days. I have a small home where your dog will feel cozy and comfortable, with 126 acres of woodland, a dog park, and rail trail to walk and play on.

About: I have been around and owned dogs most of my life. I have owned small dogs (chihuahua, yorkiepoo) as well as bigger dogs (boxers, goldendoodle). I work full time though on the weekends I have plenty of time to feed, potty and play with your babies. Of course they would get spoiled . I have 3 fenced in areas in my back yard. One of the areas has 3 of my dogs. One of the fence areas is connected to the back porch when my Boxer and his pit mix sister potty and play. The other fence area is not being used by any dogs now. I have plenty of room for your pupper and can use a create if you prefer.

Chevaughn did an amazing job! One of my dogs (Toffee) is 'very' skittish & does not warm up to new people well (it often takes weeks - sometimes months - for people just to be able to pet her). However, when we did the first meet & greet, Toffee was curious & got close enough to sniff him, which I thought was a great sign. But then... Chevaughn was actually able to pet her before leaving. She was wary, but let him. It kinda shocked me a bit. We had met with 2 other potential sitters & Toffee wouldn't get near them. With one of them, she wouldn't even come inside the house from the yard, not even for a treat, so long as the lady was there. Chevaughn has great energy, though. He was calm & assertive, moved gently around Carlee & Toffee, and they both became fast friends with him. While we were away, he even sent video of her licking his hand. That was a huge deal... Chevaughn was reliable, on time, consistent & most importantly, he is kind. Next time we need a sitter, he's our guy and I highly recommend him for taking care of your pups..

Katelyn was phenomenal! She responded quickly and accepted our booking last minute after two other sitters canceled, was so accommodating to set up a meeting beforehand, gave prompt and detailed updates throughout our time away and went above and beyond to make sure our pup was comfortable. Couldn’t recommend her more and will absolutely book her again and again! She took the best care of our pup!

About: I have had pets all my life and currently have 3 cats. I’ve volunteered at a dog park during high school, as well as fostering dogs. I care for my own pets by scooping their litter boxes, trimming their claws, and feeding them morning, mid-day, and night. Giving them overall care and attention. I treat all animals I come across with an abominable amount of love and respect, I will always try my best to make sure any animal is taken care of and appreciated.

About: I've been surrounded by dogs and cats my entire life and have years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages and personalities. I've also volunteered with local animal rescue organizations, helping foster pets, support adoptions, and assist with trap-neuter-return efforts for stray cats. Animals have always been a huge part of my life—including my rescued pet possum, Rocky, who has become best friends with my cat! I treat every pet as if they were my own and understand how important it is to provide loving, dependable care while you're away. I took voluntary retirement in December 2025, so I am available to spend time with your furry friends 7 a.m. to 9.m. or overnight all days of the week. I treat all animals as if they were my own, as well as your home, too. I am detailed, affectionate, reliable - and very tidy and clean!

We went away for 5 days and Hannah stayed in our home with our 2 dachshund pups and our Kitty. She followed all directions and kept the pups on their normal schedule. My babies were well taken care of, and happy when we got home. Hannah sent photo updates every day and let me know they were all doing great. I would definitely recommend Hannah & hope she will be available again in the future for my pups!

About: I have owned dogs my entire life and been a house/dog sitter for 10 years. I’m currently a dog foster mama and have two of my own dogs. We live on about 3 acres of land so the dogs have plenty of room to run and play! My dogs are apart of our family so your dogs will become part of our family too! Can issue any type of medication as well. High experience, Iv had all sorts of different breeds through fostering! I work full time but I work completely from home M-F. Your pet would rarely be alone and if they were, it would be an hour max. I don’t have a fenced yard but will happily walk your dog on a leash or off leash if completely trained. I have two fur babies of my own who love to run and play with other dogs!

I appreciated Chasydi taking the time to visit my dog several times while we were away. We have an anxious puppy, and Chasydi was careful not to push her too much, but to let her get familiar with her. We also appreciated Chasydi keeping the house neat during her stay and during her in-and-out visits. She shared photos and reassured us that Ember was okay.

FAQs for House Sitting - Parks Crossroads

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 608 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Parks Crossroads. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Parks Crossroads walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Parks Crossroads maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Parks Crossroads choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Parks Crossroads. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
