About: Hi, I’m Vanessa! I have a lifelong passion for animals and a genuine commitment to their well-being. For the past few years, I’ve been pet and house sitting for friends and family, gaining hands on experience caring for pets of all kinds. Cats are my favorite pet-I love their unique personalities-but I also have a deep love for all animals. Throughout my life, I’ve had cats, and small and large dogs, giving me plenty of experience managing their care. I’ve also cared for fish, turtles, and three cockatiel birds, giving me a broad understanding of the needs of different species. I currently have a 5 year old German Shepard and two cockatiel birds that I care for. Caring for pets has taught me the importance of creating a safe and comfortable environment. My experience caring for a variety of pets has helped me develop skills to provide attentive and compassionate care tailored to each pet’s unique needs. I walk my retired Greyhound every morning by Vicente Bluffs Preserve bonding with him and enjoying the beautiful sites of the Peninsula I am retired banker and IT professional who wants to stay active. I am available anytime. Very flexible and able to take care of your pets at any time or day. I am available either in your home or my home. I always use a leash on walks and will not walk multiple dogs at one time

We enjoy daily one to two hour walks and games with anything that squeaks, providing 24-hour supervision overnight and daycare. We have 15 years of experience caring for dogs, including puppies, special needs dogs, and seniors. ABOUT OUR DOGS: We can only take on small or medium sized dogs -depending on the breed (enter: short and fat!)- to ensure the safety of our own doggies, who are all a tiny 7 lbs. PLEASE do NOT request a Meet-n-Greet if you have a large dog. Also note: all vaccinations must be current. RATES: This is pretty straightforward. We charge the same for all breeds that meet our aforementioned requirements. Be aware that we do charge an additional $5 for holiday periods. My husband and I both work from home, so there will always be someone around to supervise your pup. If not outdoors playing or walking, your dog will be spending most of his or her time with us in our office. We do have a fenced backyard for the pooches to play in and go to the bathroom as needed. If your pooch is coming to stay with us, please remember to bring your pup’s bed, food and his or her favorite toys. I am currently home full time so your dog will be with me the entire time. I have a dog friendly husky and a dog friendly Maltese/poodle mix. I have experience training and fostering dogs with reactivity, fearful dogs, leash pulling, separation anxiety etc. I make my own schedule and run my dog rescue from my phone so I am able to be with your pet their entire stay. I offer a loving, fun, safe, daycare experience for social dogs who thrive in a peaceful home environment. The daycare is a home directly across the street from a park in South Torrance, called Beach Dog Adventures. I keep my daycare very small so we can focus on mental and physical enrichment, play time, decompression, exercise, and rest. What is included? I'll only feed them the appropriate foods and treats I'm given and told to feed them. I'm extremely friendly, and I'm not afraid of barking.
