I work from home!Palm desert, CA

I have 6 years of experience pet sitting and consistently fostering dogs from local rescues. I understand the stress us humans feel leaving our furry friends.

My home is a social environment for animals who have and haven't found their furr-ever homes.

I have a three bedroom home with a large grass yard. My yard is 75ft x 35ft with a completely secure 6ft fence. All dogs are separated by dog gates or kennels during feeding time. I never leave our home for more than 5 hours at a time.

My priority is to ensure that any animal in my home feels secure. Fostering and having a bachelors in behavioral science have given me experience in behavioral issues, so don't hesitate to contact if your pet has deterred others.

30 Years Caring for DogsPalm Springs, CA

I have over 30 years of experience owning and caring for dogs and will treat your dog as if it were a member of my own family.

Your fur-buddy will stay in a fab-50's house, conveniently located in central Palm Springs minutes from the Palm Springs airport with a large yard, and central air-conditioning and heating. The house is pet-friendly with access to numerous pet beds, toys and a pet door so they can come and go as they please. Where else can dogs lounge on vintage, Danish modern furnishings?

The large outdoor space includes numerous trees and shaded areas to protect from hot desert days. A dedicated plot of lawn is a special feature for dogs to play, and for the persnickety pet who will only potty on grass.

A dedicated pet-den inside the house includes lots of areas for lounging and sleep in a comfort controlled environment. Pet gates add extra safety and security.

As a bonus feature, the primary pet indoor and outdoor pet areas are equipped with cameras capable of live streaming video, accessible on any mobile device. So you can see how much fun your dog(s) are having during their vacation, anywhere in the world, 24/7.

A shimmering, kidney-bean pool is also available for the canine water-lover. However, the pool area is 100% fenced off for safety, so only supervised pool play is permitted. No dog will be allowed in the pool area without prior owner approval.

I tailor my service to the needs of the dogs. A typical day may start with a visit to our local dog park. Less social dogs will receive dedicated walks.

As a longtime dog handler with the Palm Springs Animal shelter, I have an innate ability to bond with every canine-companion and help over-come fear of a new environment. You will have peace of mind knowing your pet family member will receive individual love and attention throughout their stay. We are available 24/7 to answer any questions, or allay any concerns you may have about your pet's stay.

For those who are interested in our mobile dog care service for housebound pet owners who need extra assistance in feeding, walking and caring for their pets. I am an experienced caregiver for patients with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia and can ensure the safety and care for pets still under their care in their own homes.

Doggie day care is also welcomed and I can provide pick-up and drop-off for an nominal fee.

For the protection of other dogs and my own, I do request dogs are updated on vaccinations, and prefer to schedule a meet and greet prior to a saty to insure that everyone will get along. Two dog-friendly cats are part of the household, so we want to make sure dogs are comfortable with feline-friends.

At Mid-Century Dog Care our primary objective is to provide you peace-of-mind, so both you and your family dog(s) will both enjoy your vacation knowing your pet is going to receive the same love and attention at his/her short-term home away from home. Please feel free to contact us directly for more information, or to answer any questions you may have . Thank you for considering our service.

Your Pet's Dream Come True!Palm Desert, CA

I am the owner/operator of a pet service business that I’ve been running for the last eight years. I have experience with all types of animals from fur to feathers and everything in between I treat all animals as a member of our family. I have over 15 years of animal service back round from working in pet stores to volunteering with local shelters. We have two small dogs of our own (all under 6lbs) who love having new friends to play with! I limit the amount of dogs that I board and that I walk at one time to ensure everyone has optimal attention and exercise. Your boarding family members are guaranteed three 30 minute walks daily and potty breaks throughout the day. I boarded dogs at our previous location with rover for years but have recently relocated to Palm Desert (Portola/Fred Waring area). This is my full time job and I have a flexible schedule, so I can guarantee that your loved ones have plenty of play time and loads of love and attention.

About this sitter:

My wife and I are a couple of pet lovers. One of us has 5 years experience working in a pet store which was in the business of dogs, cats, reptiles, rodents and exotic birds. We both have volunteered with different local dog rescue agencies totaling about 10 years experience. I have hosted a number of different sizes and breeds –from 4 pound chihuahuas to 60 pound pit bulls- our house is always open to whomever needs love. We have also fostered many dogs and assisted in finding them loving homes. Every dog we welcome into our home is guaranteed three 30 minute walks daily and potty breaks throughout the day . At our home exercise, play time and love are the three most important things to a happy pup! And, although our Rover profile states that I rarely send photos, I actually send lots of photos and videos directly to you via cell phone or email.

My experience administering medication

Yes. We currently have a Boston Terror that we walk who is allergic to everything! When he stays with us we give him his allergy shots twice weekly. Any other medications we are comfortable administering as well.

Flexible & Reliable dog lover!La Quinta, CA

I recently moved to the area from the East Coast and looking to continue dog walking and pet sitting here! I work part time and often from home so I will spoil your dog with love and walks and attention the whole time they are with me!

I currently don't have my own dogs or any pets; for the past few years I have loved getting to know all of my customers pets and I really enjoy meeting new furry friends and appreciate their different personalities and needs!

I have been a dog lover my whole life! I always had dogs in the house growing up; when I was 12 I started helping my mother fostering abused pit bulls and boxers to help find them homes with PA and NJ boxer rescue and pit bull rescue. Working with the abused dogs taught me a lot about their different needs and temperaments. I also have experience with small dogs and puppies and senior dogs as well.

I have been walking friends and family members dogs for fun for the past 10 years ( I think its more fun to get exercise with a dog). I now have the flexibility in my schedule to do it regularly and I would like to eventually have my own dog walking business.
