“We were so relieved to have found Joy. She was able to accommodate us last minute. Joy Took care of our five-month old puppy for a few hours while we were visiting the desert. Our puppy had just been attacked by a dog the week prior and still had stitches from where his eye was removed. She loved him and took photos of him the entire time for us. As very overprotective parents and nervous about his medical complications, we instantly were put at ease when we met her. Cannot say enough good things about Joy.”

“Brandon is a total gem! He and Billy are both so kind and caring. My two pups took to them immediately and had a wonderful time. Brandon is a great communicator and provided timely updates. I had a little mix-up with my dates, and Brandon was so flexible and accommodating with the change. I can't recommend them enough and my two pups can't wait to stay with them again.”

“Katie is wonderful and treated our dogs Molly & Griffin awesome. I was thinking that the two of them were not going to want to come home with us when we picked them up. Thank you Katie for the care and the sharing of photos of them while we were traveling. Katie is highly recommend from us and our two pups.”

“We always appreciate how easy it is to communicate with Don regarding our dog's stay. And we appreciate the pictures and updates of our dog while he's there. Highly recommend.”

“I felt good about leaving Max with Erin. Her home is clean and free of potential hazards. There is plenty of space for my dog to roam in a fenced in environment and a cool place to potty in the back and sides of her home. She kept me thoroughly updated through out the day with pictures and messages. I would use her services again.”

“Love Ana & our little platinum Beast loves her, too. I’ve lost count of how many times she’s either housesat for her for our work travel or Ana has boarded her but we are so grateful. What a serendipitous find we have had in meeting her. Thank you, Ana!”

“We left our little Bella with Joan and Phil for 10 days over the holidays. They took excellent care of her and we can say with confidence that we will use them again in the future. If you have a pet you care for, they are an excellent resource. You can be sure they will love and care for your little one just as you would.”

“Absolutely the best. I have a difficult dog, and Candace was extremely confident and loving with her. I have full peace of mind when she's watching my dog. Thank you Candace!”

“Great experience for us and our 2 standard poodles. Sierra has a great set up for the dogs and is really tuned in to various dog personalities. Our female can be reticent with new people but after a bit she warmed up to Sierra for sure. Would definitely book again!”

“Alexandra B looked after my 2 Portuguese Water dogs for 4 nights and the dogs received excellent care. I received photos everyday while I was away along with a status update. Very helpful in knowing the dogs were doing okay. I will definitely use Alexandra the next time I need someone to look after my dogs”

“We are so grateful for Amy and Matt! We left our three month old puppy with them for a weekend and while he certainly is cute he can be quite a handful. They took him on challenges and all though and did everything they could to make sure he felt comfortable and loved while he was with them. They kept us informed with daily updates and pictures and it was obvious he was settling in with their help. It was the first time he had stayed somewhere else and we are so fortunate it was with Amy and Matt! Thank you!! ”

“Dolores was fantastic! Will definitely rebook with her when in I’m back in the area. She was extremely caring and attentive to my dog with some special needs and various medications. She was very communicative, sharing pics and videos as well as flexible several schedule changes.”
“Michelle is AMAZING! ? She was such a wonderful dog sitter! Koko loved her 2 nights at Michelle’s. She got lots of snuggles and played lots of fetch! I loved the daily’s pictures of Koko having fun. So thankful to have found such a great sitter! ??”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
