“Taylor was new to our two cats. Even though they were shy, she stayed to help them meet a new person. Taylor was very thoughtful to check the house for safety as well. I would definitely book Taylor again!”

“McKenna is an absolute gem!! She is very diligent in sending us photos and updates and I always feel like she treats our cats as if they were her own. I would highly recommend working with McKenna!”

“Brendon took great care of my two cats while I was out of town for the week! He followed all of the care instructions exactly as I wrote them and always sent an update regarding anything I may need to know. I really appreciated the attention to detail and how communicative he was! Would absolutely use him as a pet sitter again in the future! :)”

I work full time do am really only available for house sitting on Sundays(all day and night) and Monday mornings. I am though available for drop in visits or dog walking on other days. If you live local to me and your animal is ok to be left alone while i am at work then maybe I could watch your animal other days during the week. Happy to hang out with pets. Love taking dogs for walks!!! Giving medicine is not a problem. I am good with dogs and cats of all ages.

I will take good care of them. I can bring them to my house as well.

About: My family owns and operates a Labrador breeding business and kennel, located in a small slice of heaven in the hill towns. I have been living, breathing, and loving dogs for my entire life and find immense joy simply being around them! I have several years of experience at a boarding facility where I was able to expand my knowledge on any different breed, size, age, temperament and disabilities! I am comfortable with all dogs at any life stages, ranging from a few hours old to sweet elderlies. I am also able to react quickly to any situation and have a solid history of preventing and intervening real fights safely between several dogs. I am available at you and your pets desire! I am able to stay in home and/or overnight, or simply check in! My car is my main way of travel, and has safely transported many pups to their playdates! Care in my clients home includes purely love and sticking to the routine that your pet knows the best! My client will also receive the utmost amount of reassurance and open communication because I understand on a personal level how difficult it is to leave your baby in someone else's hands.
“Clara was so wonderful with our animals, very responsive, trustworthy, and friendly. She made it so our trip away (during a snowstorm nonetheless) was as stress free as possible. We were nervous about the weather and her access to the property and the added challenges the storm brought, but she handled it no problem. We are really excited to have someone we can rely on in the future to take care of our furry friends while we’re away.”

About: I have had pets since I was a child. Cats, dogs, chickens, goats, cows, Guinea pigs and rabbits. I love animals of all kind because they are so loyal and give unconditional love and that is what I show to each and every animal I am fortunate enough to care for. Pets are my passion so each day is complete when I have pets to care for. I treat all pets as if they were my own. Currently I do not care for pets in my home but in the future I will be. Stay tuned and check back often for updates
About: While I’m new to Rover, I’ve always loved animals and provided some sort of care for years now and to a wide rarity of pets at that. The dog you see is Lola, she lives back in MA but I co-raised and trained her till we parted ways. The cats are siblings I rescued from CT and brought out to CO with me! My household motto has always been play eat and sleep, and that’s the care I want to give to your pet(s)! I work from home 3 out of 5 days a week so it’s easy for me to log on almost anywhere and take breaks to let any pets go out and go for a walk! I know from experience it takes a lot to build trust with animals and I’m here to establish that trust with you and your pet! My top priority is safety so show me around your house and explain the dogs routine and I’ll be sure to follow through!
About: I’ve dog sat on numerous occasions for friends and family with dogs. I’ve sat bigger dogs, smaller dogs. Older and younger. I love dogs and their kisses and loves. I love playing with them and help getting exercise or just cuddles in. I do work but I can be flexible to help care for needs of the pets. I will always check in and keep open communication to ease anyone’s mind on their pets check ins. I will always make sure the fur baby feels comfortable in their home, as I will just be a guest in it. I will give them the care and love they need though.
“This is the second time we had Melanie take care of our four cats - she gets a 16 (out of 16) paws up from the 4 cats! We came home to very clean food bowls and litter boxes. Food was also left organized! She had great communication. She even accommodated a special diet and feeding cats in two locations. Will use again! Top ratings for Melanie!”
“Jestyna has been walking our dog Waffles several times now. Waffles is always tuckered out and happy afterwards. She takes him fun places to walk, a new place most times. She is prompt and responsible, sends us pictures and updates. We will continue to use her to walk our dog, and I encourage others to give her a try.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
