“Bruno had a wonderful time at Kathleen's beautiful place! The fully-fenced in green space for the dogs was so peaceful I wanted to stay myself. Kathleen has a calming manner which the dogs respond well too. I am contemplating more trips to the Berkshires now that I know Bruno has a safe place where he will be happy and well taken care of while I spend time at Jacob's Pillow or museums. Thank you!”

“Peter was great with my very energetic pup! He called a day before the appointment to make sure all my preferences are met. Very flexible with the times I requested. Most importantly, I was confident that my puppy was safe and enjoying himself. Peter’s home is dog friendly and he was kind enough to send me a picture of my beloved pup. Would definitely recommend!!”

“Tetiana was marvelous! She was able to take us rather last minute and provided very attentive care to our extremely playful but also a bit nervous dog. She greeted us outside and immediately got to work making our dog feel comfortable. She invited us into her home to help acclimate our dog. And then sent a number of updates with pictures confirming all was well. We are so grateful for the care she provided.”

“Irene was great with Sadie. Sadie loved playing with Goldie and loved the friendly and warm reception she got. Sadie was given both play and rest time and really looked really comfortable with Irene when I picked her up.”

“York had an amazing time playing with Shelby’s dogs. It was my first time leaving him with a sitter and I was nervous, but Shelby was very accommodating and responsive throughout the day. I would highly recommend her for your doggy daycare needs.”

About: We’ve been dog sitting and caring for pets for years and have built strong relationships with dozens of happy, reliable clients. Our goal is to make every dog and cat feel comfortable, safe, loved, and anxiety-free while you’re away. We have experience with high-energy, needy, and attention-seeking pets, and we always adapt to each animal’s personality and routine. Communication is very important to us, so you can expect regular updates, photos, and peace of mind knowing your pets are being cared for like family. I’m currently home full-time with my two boys, which gives me a very flexible and reliable schedule for pet care. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, boarding, and whatever your pet may need throughout the day. Because I’m home often, your pets will receive plenty of attention, care, supervision, and companionship instead of being left alone for long periods. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine to help them feel comfortable, safe, and right at home. We have a very large private backyard with over an acre of space for dogs to enjoy and explore. While the yard is not fenced in, it is set far back from busy roads and offers a quiet, safe, and peaceful environment. Safety is extremely important to us, and all outdoor time is closely supervised. Our property is long and spacious with plenty of room for walks, playtime, and exercise while still maintaining privacy and a calm atmosphere for pets to feel comfortable and relaxed.
“Katie and her family were an absolute dream! I couldn’t be more pleased with how attentive and caring they were towards our puppy. I highly recommend Katie! I wish we lived closer to use her again! Thank you, Katie!”

“Sarah is very attentive to my dog! She has made her very welcome and my dog has adjusted very well. I am very glad to have a safe and comfortable place to leave my dog while I am at work. Sarah is wonderful!”

“Karina was absolutely wonderful to work with. Everything was super clear and she took wonderful care of our fur baby. I felt confident and at ease the whole time. She has a lot of care and compassion for animals and its clearly evident by how she interacts with them. Our pup was happy as could be when I picked him up. I would highly recommend Karina!”

“Jess took great care of my pup and sent me lots of pics and updates throughout the day! She has a sweet dog, and her dog and mine played together all day. Uva came home fed, healthy and tired! Thank you Jess!”

“Lisa is truly an amazing human being! Always comes in to save the day! I had to travel to jfk and Lisa was so kind and considerate that she was able to fit me in even though my return time to pick up Duke took longer than expected. She was very caring and compassionate towards my Duke the Corgi and she always has a calming presence that always makes you feel reassured that you are leaving your furry friends in the care of someone with a warm and generous heart!”

“Sandra was outstanding! She was very flexible and was great about communicating. Her sweet dog was very good with my skittish dog Minnie who didn’t bark once when meeting her ( she usually gets scared and barks when first meeting) Sandra gave me photos and info about her day and was very flexible about changing pick up time. She has a beautiful home and lots of area for walking and exploring that I’m sure was fun for the dogs. I highly recommend Sandra!!!”

About: I sincerely LOVE getting to know each individual dog's personality (quirks and all!) and learning about what makes them happiest. I have many years of experience: walking dogs in NYC & in Western Mass; pet-sitting for my friends', neighbors' and partner's dogs (as well as for other types of pets). I create a warm, nurturing and happy environment for my precious furry friends to thrive. (Please note: on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, I am usually available from 11 AM-5:30 PM; on Mondays & Wednesdays, I am usually available from 11 AM -12 PM) I'm currently working part-time as a educator (tutor) so I have ample time to provide dog care (walking, drop-in day care and occasional boarding) during the week, Mon-Wed and Thurs-Friday. On occasion, I may be able to board dogs during the weekend. I live in an extremely peaceful, quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood (the Plains of Easthampton) toward the end of a cul-de-sac. So there is almost no cars or traffic here. I do have a front & back yard. Although it is not fenced, it is backed by trees and, as mentioned, almost zero traffic
“We have loved working with Tricia! Very flexible, understanding, and affordable. She went the extra mile for our senior dog. Can’t wait to book the next visit for our dog!”
About: I am a loving and attentive dog owner. I love nothing more than to take care of my K9 friends. I have always had a dog and currently one. I understand that all dogs have a big personality with a lot of understanding required. I am just as happy running with a dog as I am a quiet day of relaxation indoors. Whatever your pet needs I provide. I take pride in understanding my pets needs. It can be hard when their owner is always gone at work but I can help relieve some of that anxiety. I’ll work within your pets restrictions and needs to better suit them and to make sure they feel at home! Give me a call if you need! I’m a professional artist and I work from home so dog care needs fit well into my life. I have a dog of my own and a cat as well that are both well loved. My environment is very well suited for pet care. I have a social elderly dog and a sweet kitty who’s very friendly. We have a big yard, spacious house and pet friendly environment. Pups always get two walks a day and plenty of attention:
“Ziggy was great with our dog Jet! Jet is a high energy Springer Spaniel and she went above and beyond with taking him for hikes and making sure he got enough exercise. She took care of Jet at our home and was respectful of the space and was able to keep Jet’s routine as normal as possible which made us comfortable leaving him with her. We would definitely book with Ziggy again in the future!”

“Nicole was very sweet. She constantly sent pictures and videos of our dogs playing and made us feel more comfortable. Our puppy had a great time and was exhausted when she got home! We will definitely use her again!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Otis commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
