“Heidi was great with Mayzie. We were pleased Mayzie responded positively at our first meeting and throughout her stay. Heidi kept us updated on Mayzie's eating and well-being while we were away. Smiles and tail wags from everyone!”

“Katie was wonderful. This was short notice and she could not have been more accommodating. Tully had a great time playing with the other pups and came home happy and exhausted. I highly recommend Katie.”

“Aishea was nice and welcoming to Charlie. He felt comfortable immediately with her. Charlie was very well taken care of. Kept me updated of how he was and sent picture and videos. Will definitely recommend. Thank you Aishea!”

About: I am a dependable, patient, and caring animal lover with many years of personal experience caring for dogs. I previously cared for my own Rottweiler for nine years, so I am comfortable with large breeds as well as smaller pets. I understand that every animal has a different personality and routine. I will follow your instructions carefully and treat your pet with the same love, attention, and respect I would give my own. Pet care fits well into my routine. I carefully schedule each booking around my work hours so I can provide dependable, unhurried care. I will keep my availability updated and communicate clearly with every pet owner. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication needs, walks, and house rules. I keep doors and gates secure, supervise pets carefully, maintain a clean environment, and provide regular photo updates.
“Kim took great care of our two dogs for a long weekend. We would definitely board our dogs with her again! She kept in contact with us, sent pictures of the dogs, and drop off and pick up was incredibly smooth.”

“Amazing sit for my pup. I could just tell Tatiana loves animals and took to my little Zoe (4 y/o mini Aussie) right away. Got some photo updates and was super responsive to messaging. Highly recommend!”

“Mary Ann boarded/took into her home my Daizy, a 12-year-old toy poodle, while I had surgery. The best recommendation comes from Daizy who kept looking for Mary Ann after Daizy came home! My little was pampered, cared for and spoiled and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Highly recommend!”

“I booked Rachel last minute fully expecting for her to not respond or say she was available and she responded within minutes for my last second request. She and her family took excellent care of Hank and sent me several pictures and updates through out. 10/10. Very happy to have found someone trust worthy i can leave my dog with and have no worries without feeling like i am burdening friends or family.”

“We were very nervous because Gordie had never slept away from his home. He seemed very happy and content in the photos Caitlin was kind to send. I will definitely send him to her house again.”

“MJ was terrific with my 5 month old bordoodle puppy. She kept me updated about how he was doing during the week I was traveling, and sent me lots of pictures. I was extremely comfortable that MJ, a responsible dog owner herself, was taking great care of Nacho and treating him as one of her own. He got plenty of play time and love and snuggles. She also made sure to carefully introduce him to her three dogs- I think my puppy had a real vacation at her home! I was skittish leaving Nacho anywhere with other dogs due to a bad experience he recently had at a doggie day care, but MJ quickly put me at ease and clearly treated him wonderfully. Nacho has some new friends now! I would HIGHLY recommend MJ to anyone.”

“This was the first time in 7 years leaving my best bud in the hands of strangers. I have to say that Steve, Deb and their son made me feel at ease as soon as I met them. The daily pictures an videos put me at ease as well as the fenced in yard. I would have them watch my dog in the future, for sure! Great people!”

“Irene has been such a great find in the Berkshires! She always gives helpful communication with each stay, and Ruby seems to love her time with Irene (and her sweet dog Goldie). Thanks for all of the care that you give to Ruby - we'll see you soon!”

“Our energetic black lab had such a great time with Karl and his dogs! When we picked her up she was happy and relaxed. Communication with Karl was very easy: he responded quickly to any questions we had, and sent pictures every day! His place is a great set up with a fenced in yard and safe areas for dogs to move around indoors. We will definitely use Karl again in the future!”

“Amazing!!! Kept me informed the entire time I was away. Sent me pics of Naz and updated me on how he was doing. How he was sleeping and eating. Even down to when he would go outside. I’d recommend 1,000%”

“Wendy was great! I needed a dog sitter at the last minute and came across her profile. I loved that she was so close to my home, and she made the entire experience stress-free. During my dog's stay, I received nightly text updates along with photos and videos, which I really appreciated. This was the first time I'd traveled over 13 hours away from my sweet girl, so I was super nervous. After the first day went so well, all my worries disappeared, and I was able to fully enjoy my trip knowing she was in great hands. I will definitely book with Wendy again and maybe next time she'll even get to meet my kitty too!”

“Kelly and Nabil were great! We had two very happy dogs, and we could relax knowing that they were being well cared for. Kelly really went above and beyond for us. We will definitely have them take care of our dogs again!”
“I would highly recommend Allison to take care of your dogs! She is so caring and definitely communicates with you to let you know what's going on! Her dog, Mollie is so sweet too! She has 2 fenced in areas- a front yard and back yard with a pool! There is definitely plenty of places for your dogs to roam and play outside. She also has a nice area inside for them to play and where she gives tons of cuddles! She honors whatever your routine is, as I wanted my dog to sleep in her soft crate and be fed twice a day with pottie breaks every 4hrs. She is very reliable, dependable, efficient and a total sweetheart! She knows how to slowly introduce dogs and makes sure everyone is safe and comfortable besides having fun! I was so calm knowing that my Lola was in good hands and given so much attention by her, her family, and the other dogs! A definite 5 star rating in my book!”

“My dog never gets left with anyone because I know how nervous she gets but we couldn’t bring her on a trip and Briana and her family were a perfect match for her. Coco was used to lots of attention with my kids and she loved it there. She was well cared for and I had complete trust she was in good hands. Thanks Briana!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
