“Tommy provided great support for our puppy while I was on a long vacation. We appreciated his flexibility and thoughtfulness when it came to balancing her needs and wants.”

“Jax had a great time at Allen’s, playing old friends and new. We happily follow his day through the frequent photos and videos Allen sends. These regular play groups really enrich Jax’s life (and he’s one pooped pup at the end of the day).”

“Ian was great with my dog. He was dependable and knowledgeable. My dog was always happy at pick up and had obviously been well cared for. I really appreciate Ian taking care of my Iris while she was in heat, that is not an easy thing to find, and he handled it with ease. Ian was also available with little notice. He is flexible and responsible. I have felt very grateful to find him.”

“Caitlin was great with Leo! She took him in somewhat last minute and provided a calm environment. She asked the right questions for preparing for our quirky dog and we were left at ease knowing he would be in good hands and getting the proper exercise and attention. Would definitely use Caitlin again!”

“Laura and Nicholas took such great care of my pup Brielle the beagle! She has separation anxiety so needs someone around to keep her company and Laura and Nicholas were so kind to host her for the day. They sent multiple updates and cute photos to keep me up to date. Brielle got to sunbathe and explore their yard, which was such a treat because our place doesn’t have that. Would definitely recommend Laura and Nicholas!”

“I could tell that my dog had a fun time at Beverly’s house. She had good communication and gave a detailed picture of Archie’s stay and any hiccups he encountered. Her care was much appreciated and I would have Archie stay with her again.”

“So great! I really appreciate their patience with my little anxious boy! They kept me updated and sent pictures throughout the day. Definitely will be booking with them again. 🤗”

“Every time Loup goes over to Steffie's for the day, he comes back so well-mannered and tuckered out. He's a rescue dog, and has separation anxiety pretty bad, but Steffie leads that little pack so well-- dogs can just be dogs around her-- it's awesome-- and he's less anxious when he returns! Hooray! When I drop him off, I can see him falling into line with the pack, which is great because he's usually kind of aloof with dogs-- maybe he is intimidated by other dogs, in general? I don't know, but he keeps his cards pretty close to the vest. Not at Steffie's though: he actually engages with the other dogs. To me, these positives are priceless. (But the prices are pretty good, too! ;D) Steffie also did a great job cutting Loup's hair, and giving him the full groom. She's wonderful. I'm glad she's available on Rover. I highly recommend her services.”

“Amanda was so welcoming and caring while dog sitting for Q. She was knowledgeable and very capable; made sure to know what Q’s needs were. Her dog Ginger was friendly and understanding of Q being shy. Q was so well taken care of in a few days she went from being really shy to getting all excited play with Ginger. Amanda made sure Q had her walks and gave me all the updates I needed. Q started to participate in play more so I know her time with Amanda was safe, fun, and instructive! I would definitely recommend her for dog waking and dog sitting!”

“Evita was available on super short notice and even made time to do a meet and greet beforehand! Very flexible and communicative while Teddy was in her care. We will definitely be booking with Evita again!”

About: Hi there! I’m an experienced pet lover with over 10 years of caring for dogs, from new puppies with high energy to lazy senior dogs. I have also spent lots of times with cats and adore all their different personalities from independent to cuddly. Need potty training? Need a doggy bath? Need a nail clipping? Need a litterbox cleaning? I got you while you're away! I know every pet is unique, so please let me know their needs, routines, and quirks. I wanna be there to make sure they feel happy and cared for while in my care. Your pet will be treated like family, like my own, because that’s exactly how I see them! 🐾 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 I currently have a pup of my own that is walked for over 30+ mins a day, receives medication, and training daily! I am also a dog-foster that will occasionally take in small dogs who need a helping hands before they move onto a home. So my experience variety is wide! And I have lots of free-time to welcome more pets into my heart. I will respect your home and any ground rules you set. Just let me know what is important to you. I will even vacuum/clean up after your pet so you will return happily! In case of a small dog staying with me, they will have an enthusiastic play-mate! I have a chest full of toys including enrichment toys. Walks and feedings will be a breeze. Not to mention plenty of doting by myself and my partner

About: I have extensive experience taking care of cats, dogs, and chickens, but am open and excited to take care of all pets. I am new to Rover, but have completed over 40 sits through TrustedHousesitters watching many dogs, cats, and kittens, ranging from weekend sits to entire months and have been pet sitting full time for 1 and a half years. I have watched dogs and cats of all ages and have experience administering medication (including insulin, pills, liquid). I also have experience with a variety of farm animals as I watched an entire farm by myself including goats, sheep, turkeys, rabbits, cats and dogs. In addition to my recent experience through TrustedHousesitters, I have had many house/pet sitting gigs throughout the years. I periodically watched my housemates cat in college. I grew up dog sitting my family friend's dog and cat sitting for a couple of different families. I also nannied for 4 years, and have experience looking after houses, cleaning, and keeping my clients homes in great condition. I am originally from California, but my home base is Portland, OR. My favorite activities include running, hiking, and anything outdoorsy. I am a marathon runner and I have completed 6 marathons so far and have run numerous half marathons. I also really like exploring, traveling and trying new food and coffee places. I love to house/pet sit because it gives me the opportunity to be around cute pets and make some extra income as I recently moved back to Portland after taking a gap year. I have 3.5 years of experience working remotely in the medical communications field and I am a UC Davis alumni. While caring for your pet and home, I will be available on my cell and will text picture updates, so you can feel at ease while you are away and will be sure to give your pet plenty of cuddles and love.

“Serena is the best! Both my puppies loved they’re visited with her. My miniature Pinscher usually becomes nervious and nips people. She didn’t do so with Serena. I’m definitely going to stick with her !!”

Old Town-Chinatown dog parents share their Rover experiences
Caitlin was fantastic with my little dog, Badger. I had never done an overnight boarding with a sitter before and Caitlin was super helpful in making sure Badger felt comfortable in her living space and with the other dogs. We did a park meet and greet beforehand for introductions and to chat through any concerns. She was very communicative and flexible with the booking arrangements. Badger came back to me very happy and well taken care of. I definitely recommend Caitlin for your sitting needs. I'll definitely be booking with her again. Thanks!

Ciera did an absolutely amazing job with my pup. She is detail-oriented,a good listener, punctual, researches before asking questions, and pays as much attention to the health and safety of her daily adoptee, as she does providing TLC. I have worked with her four times, and each stay gets better as she learns his habits, and my dog gets increasingly comfortable. I will absolutely be working with Ciera again in the future.

Wonderful, wonderful dog sitter! She was incredibly kind to my dog! Her two dogs were adorable and were great for nervous, first time in someone else’s home dogs (my dog). She took them on frequent walks, communicative about eating, treats, potty, and nap time and sent many pictures. I’d recommend her to anyone with small-medium dogs that need somewhere to go either sitting or boarding. One issue I faced which wasn’t a huge deal, was in the middle of my reservation the rate of sitting increased to almost double the initial rate I paid for. My intial booking was 15/day and I asked for one more day of sitting, and the entire reservation was modified to 25/day. It caught me off guard since it was the middle of the week and I was caught off guard with the new price. The service was worth the new rate, just wanted transparency there.

I highly recommend them. We were going out of town and our dog is older and since we have recently relocated, he’s very nervous about new situations. They took excellent care gave me lots of updates. I couldn’t be happier. They also gave him his medication and took him on excursions.

Brittany was a fantastic caretaker! Was very attentive, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. There were some adjustments to my schedule and Brittany was able to make sure to be available regardless. Huey had a great time at their place of work! He spent the whole day playing and napping, and came home an happy, exhausted puppy. Couldn’t recommend Brittany anymore! Will definitely be booking again in the future!

Patricia and her husband are such wonderful people! This was our first time using Rover for our doggo, Loki, and we were a little nervous since he’s never stayed with someone he didn’t know. But it seems like he had an amazing time! 🐶 I’m so grateful for all the pictures and updates throughout the night, it gave us so much peace of mind. Definitely recommend them! 💕
