“Jax says Rover needs more stars for Allen. I love being with him and my buddies there. I get to run and run and play and play, then nap and do it all again — it’s doggy heaven.”

“Shout out the Ian. He took my dog in on very short notice, and had no issue with the fact I was 10 mins late to pick her up. (Thanks again)! I appreciate him bunches!”

“Laura and Nicholas are so wonderful. They are patient and sweet with my girl Gigi. Very communicative, reliable and have been such a help on my long work days. Gigi is so excited to get to their home and for a sassy fierce pup like mine that is such a relief. They play ball with her, she gets to relax in their backyard and even takes her on hikes. They both have a warm energy and working with them has been a breeze. Definitely would and have recommended them!”

“Evita was available on super short notice and even made time to do a meet and greet beforehand! Very flexible and communicative while Teddy was in her care. We will definitely be booking with Evita again!”

“This was my first time ever leaving Arlo with a sitter, and I couldn’t be more thankful for Jamie. Arlo immediately seemed comfortably in her home, and didn’t seem to show his typical signs of separation anxiety when I left. Thank you Jamie for taking the best care of Arlo for me!”

“Amanda was so welcoming and caring while dog sitting for Q. She was knowledgeable and very capable; made sure to know what Q’s needs were. Her dog Ginger was friendly and understanding of Q being shy. Q was so well taken care of in a few days she went from being really shy to getting all excited play with Ginger. Amanda made sure Q had her walks and gave me all the updates I needed. Q started to participate in play more so I know her time with Amanda was safe, fun, and instructive! I would definitely recommend her for dog waking and dog sitting!”

“Maggie was treated royally. She had lots of walks and enjoyed time with the other dogs. She will be back next week for several days overnight and we will be comfortable that Maggie will be safe and well taken care of.”

About: I have been around dogs since I was a child. I used to walk my neighbors’ dogs. Now, I live with my 11-year-old French Bulldog, Mac. Through caring for him, I’ve learned how to be patient, gentle, and supportive — especially with senior dogs and dogs who need time to trust people. Mac has some unique needs, including potty training issues and age-related habits. I have experience giving him pills, applying ointments, using eye and ear drops, and trimming his nails and paw hair. Although I haven’t cared for other dogs in this way yet, I’m confident and gentle when it comes to daily care. I especially love caring for dogs who might need a little more time, attention, or understanding. I also take a very mindful approach to my own dog’s diet. I carefully combine multiple types of dry food, supplements, and ingredients to support a balanced diet. I even modify the portions based on his activity level. If you’re someone who puts a lot of thought into your dog’s nutrition, I’d be more than happy to support and follow any specific meal plans or routines you prefer! I’m also happy to keep track of your dog’s water intake and potty habits if that’s something you monitor!! I currently have a flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home. This allows me to give plenty of care and attention to the dogs I look after. I can take dogs on multiple short walks throughout the day, usually three to four times for 15 minutes each. If longer walks are preferred, I can do that two to three times per day. Keeping dogs comfortable, happy, and safe is always my top priority. I offer a calm and clean home where dogs can relax and feel at ease. Dogs are allowed in the living and dining areas so I can always keep an eye on them. At night, I leave my bedroom door open so I can hear them if they need anything. I live with Mac, my senior French Bulldog. He takes a little time to get used to other dogs, but he is never aggressive. He enjoys calm company and usually spends most of his day napping. I keep my home tidy and hygienic so dogs can stay comfortable. We go for walks along the Willamette River or visit nearby dog parks. If requested, I can also provide photo updates or use a pet camera to keep you informed. * :. *.: * :. *.: * :. *.: * :. *.: Leaving your beloved dog with someone new can be nerve-wracking. To help ease your mind, I’m happy to offer a short complimentary daycare session — just to make sure both you and your pup feel comfortable and confident. * :. *.: * :. *.: * :. *.: * :. *.:

About: Hi, I’m Maddy! A lifelong animal lover, proud cat and dog mom, and someone who believes every pet deserves kindness, comfort, and connection. I’ve been around animals my whole life and can’t imagine a home without them. Today, I share mine with Kevin (my tabby) and MJ (my miniature schnauzer mix), and I bring that same care and attention to every pet I look after. Whether your pet is a ball of energy or a couch potato, I’m just happy to provide a safe, comforting presence. I also have an eye for detail and take the responsibility of caring for your pet seriously. From feeding and medications to playtime and routines, you can count on me to follow instructions closely and communicate clearly, so you can enjoy peace of mind while you’re away. Spending time with animals genuinely makes my day better, and I’d love the chance to help make your pet’s day a little brighter, too. I’m currently free on weekdays and am available morning, noon, and evening for drop-ins, walks, or daycare. I have reliable transportation and can be flexible with scheduling. I’m comfortable caring for pets both in my home and in yours, and I adjust my approach based on what your pet needs to feel safe and loved. In my home, I provide a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment with plenty of space for animals to relax and play. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible and make sure they have quiet, cozy spots to unwind, especially if they need time to adjust or prefer alone time. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and your pet’s routine. I stick closely to any instructions you provide. I know how important it is for animals to feel secure, so I make sure to keep things consistent and calm. In either setting, I bring patience, attention to detail, and a deep love for animals.

“Rachel was a great, super chill sitter for our 9 month old, 20 lb puppy. She was communicative and responsive. Also very patient and understanding. We received photos and a report each day. She lives near a dog park, so our puppy was able to get her energy out. We ended up needing to revise and ultimately cancel half of our dates due to an extreme heatwave- our plans changed because the weather heated up. Rachel was totally understanding and accommodating. Thanks , Rachel! We would definitely use her again and recommend her to others.”

Old Town-Chinatown dog parents share their Rover experiences
Wonderful, wonderful dog sitter! She was incredibly kind to my dog! Her two dogs were adorable and were great for nervous, first time in someone else’s home dogs (my dog). She took them on frequent walks, communicative about eating, treats, potty, and nap time and sent many pictures. I’d recommend her to anyone with small-medium dogs that need somewhere to go either sitting or boarding. One issue I faced which wasn’t a huge deal, was in the middle of my reservation the rate of sitting increased to almost double the initial rate I paid for. My intial booking was 15/day and I asked for one more day of sitting, and the entire reservation was modified to 25/day. It caught me off guard since it was the middle of the week and I was caught off guard with the new price. The service was worth the new rate, just wanted transparency there.

I highly recommend them. We were going out of town and our dog is older and since we have recently relocated, he’s very nervous about new situations. They took excellent care gave me lots of updates. I couldn’t be happier. They also gave him his medication and took him on excursions.

Brittany was a fantastic caretaker! Was very attentive, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. There were some adjustments to my schedule and Brittany was able to make sure to be available regardless. Huey had a great time at their place of work! He spent the whole day playing and napping, and came home an happy, exhausted puppy. Couldn’t recommend Brittany anymore! Will definitely be booking again in the future!

Would absolutely book with Naomi again! She has such a calm, kind energy, and my dog instantly felt comfortable with her...AND made fast friends with her sweet, playful pup. Naomi helped me out on short notice and was incredibly flexible and patient as my (very fluid) plans kept changing. So grateful for her care and support—can’t recommend her enough!

Patricia and her husband are such wonderful people! This was our first time using Rover for our doggo, Loki, and we were a little nervous since he’s never stayed with someone he didn’t know. But it seems like he had an amazing time! 🐶 I’m so grateful for all the pictures and updates throughout the night, it gave us so much peace of mind. Definitely recommend them! 💕

Carissa gave my pup the ultimate staycation! He was happy and tired in the best way. Her dogs were great with him and they happily coexisted. He was immediately comfortable when I dropped him off and didn’t even want to say bye. Looking forward to booking again in the future.
