About: I've taken care of my son's dogs Eddie, Nina and Uma for weeks to months at a time while he travels to England to visit family. I'm available for work shifts and even overnight upon request all throughout the weekdays and weekends. Updates will be posted to my calendar if changes occur. I have a front yard and more importantly a full fenced in backyard. I keep it very clean and clear of poop. I also have a beautiful 9 year old Golden Retriever to help keep your little one company.
“Another wonderful visit at Dawn's house. She has so much fun with Dawn's daughter and their two dogs. It's a mini vacation for Maggie when she is with them. Couldn't find a better place for her when we are away.”

“Took great care of Spike and showed him a good time! Kate took him to the dog park (his favorite place) and got him some treats at the local pet store (his second favorite place)”

About: I have been dog sitting for over ten years, and just started sitting on Rover. I have experience with blind, senior and rescue dogs. I have a soft spot for small dogs especially, but love all dogs. My dogs are my world and I understand that you are putting the utmost trust having me watch them. I work mostly from home. So we have time for lots of adventures, walks, enjoying the yard and tons of snuggling on the couch. When I do go into work, it’s for 5 hours or less, so the dogs aren’t left alone for very long. I have a fenced yard with a doggie door so dogs can go in and out all day. I have two small dogs. We go on an adventure at least once a day, whether it be a long walk, going to the river, dog park… we get outside at least once a day!
“Michelle was great. She was able to help me last minute when I was in a pinch. My dog came home happy well fed and nicely tired from a fun trip to the park. She communicated with me throughout the day and sent me photos. I Will definitely hire her again!”

About: We work from home so we can give your dog lots of care and attention. Our 4 year old pup loves all people and dogs, and has a blast with friends who visit. We have a fenced yard and go on two walks a day. We are a couple with a teen kiddo, so there are lots of people to take care of your baby. We work from home and have a dog who gets two walks a day, so we are already in the groove of taking good care of doggies. We follow the lead of the dog. We allow pets on the bed and furniture, We can administer meds, or any extra healthcare needs. We have a fenced yard and your pup can have freedom to be inside or out as desired.
“Frank enjoys spending his time with Don (and Hunter) very much. He gets excited when we pull up to the house, because he knows he's in for a day of fun and VIP treatment. I highly recommend Don and Melodie for both Daycare and Boarding.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets my entire life as I grew up with a lab, and have been an avid dog sitter for many years for a variety of dogs with many different needs. I have experience in medication delivery as well as taking care of reactive dogs. I currently work in a fully remote role giving me the time and flexibility to give your pup the frequent potty/exercise breaks, attention, and care that they deserve! I am patient, kind, and love every dog I have met. I will treat your dog as if they are my own, and ensure they have a restful & stress-free experience. I’m currently in a fully remote role, so have time and flexibility during the work week and weekend to provide exercise and attention. I’m also very active and will gladly take your pup as a walking or running buddy. I am responsible, respectful, and have a deep care to contributing to creating a comfortable environment for your pup in your home. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your dog while you’re away and will work to make the transition as smooth as possible so not only your dog can relax and feel comfortable and loved, but you can relax while you are away.

About: Hi there, I'm Brett just your local dog lover living in St. Johns! We are crazy about dogs around here and can't wait to meet you and yours! Please read through each section to make sure that our services sound like a great fit for you. We provide short and longer term boarding for toy to medium sized adult to healthy senior dogs. Dogs over 50lbs or taller than about 28” are not going to be good fit for our services. It is my primary goal to become your go-to sitter by gaining your trust and providing you and your pets with only the best experience possible! I offer safe, affectionate, and attentive care. So let me tell you a little more about me and why my services are a great choice for you and yours! My expertise focuses on building a strong and healthy relationship between people and animals by using positive reinforcement. I believe in reward-based training techniques that foster trust between animals and humans. I do not use fear or intimidation to "make your dog" do anything. Furthermore, I have cared for many types of animals throughout my life, including dogs, cats, horses, and even reptiles, spiders, and other exotic animals. I'm reliable, responsible, and compassionate. I've always been the go-to among my friends and family when someone needs their pet taken care of in their absence. I have worked hard over the past 5 years turning my skills into a small but growing business. Now, I'm reaching out to try Rover in order to meet a wider range of potential clients. My wife and I both telework with my wife doing so full time so we always have someone here to provide tons of attention to your animals when you are away! I have a small fully fenced and secure yard and offer lots of stimulation and exercise, because my space is small I also only host dogs up to 50 lbs. and a maximum of 8 dogs on any day including my own two. We take a minimum of two walks per day and I have tons of toys, Kong's and puzzle toys to keep even the busiest dog minds happy! You are welcome to bring crates if your dog is crate trained and I have a quiet snug room just off the living room for crated pups to overnight. But overall this is small numbers homestyle dog boarding. All dogs sleep in the house just like the people. We don't have kennels or separate areas on the property where animals overnight unattended. There are times when animals may be separated for safety such a meal times (food aggression) and during walks when we like to only take a few at a time so we can concentrate on keeping everyone safe but other than that we practice an active pack model. This makes pet boarding a perfect fit for my lifestyle! I am excited to bring years of pet care experience to the St.Johns community and beyond! I am available for drop off and pick ups starting as early as 5 am and as late as 8 pm. My home and yard are secure my house has a tall wood fence around the entire back and side yard. Inside my home all exits are secured by additional 3' high retractable dog gates that are always closed and in locked position when I am boarding dogs. When I transport dogs I do so in my van that is outfitted with a large and secure 4 sided dog hammock with dog seat belt attachments. Dogs never ride unsecured in my van. If you need transport some is available at no charge within a certain radius from my home and on days and times I am able to offer it. Typically I can accommodate up to 8 dogs (including my own) but that number will also vary depending on the size and activity levels of the dogs I am hosting. When they stay with me your dogs are allowed everywhere on the main level of the home and while I have lots of soft dog beds they are also welcome to hang out on the couch! I have a ample supply of toys, treats, seat belts, dog bowls and bedding at my home so below is a list of what you should bring with your dog for a typical stay. What Your Dog Should Bring for Boarding/Sitting: - A secure harness and leash for each pet. - Crate or cage if your dog requires one. -Their food, medications and any supplements they will need while here. Please label your dogs food and meds with their names, if you forget to do so that's fine and I will label them upon their arrival. - A bed or bedding, this is not required but if you feel like your dog would be more comfy with something that smells like you then please do bring their favorite bed, blanket etc. Please don't send the following items: -Favorite toys (I cant vouch for their safety from other dogs).
“Peter took my puppy on more walks than he gets at home! He came home tired, which is hard to do with this fella. I appreciated the generous care he offered my puppy.”

“Newt had another INCREDIBLE adventure day with Jiao!! She clearly LOVES being with her, and came back exhausted from all that she did - which is exactly what I wanted! She got to go to Mount Hood and go through the snow. I got tons and updates and it’s clear they took such good care of my girl.”

“Michelle was great with Hobbs, she took great care of him and it’s clear he loved being around her. She sent pics and videos to me throughout day, she’s great.”

“Amber is a wonderful dog sitter. My little Finian is absolutely in love with his daycare with Amber. He is well cared for and loved while I am at work. Amber is the best dog sitter I have had. Definitely book Amber for all your animal’s needs.”

“I got on Rover purely to give Shell this review. Haha. Imagine the value in a scenario where you call up your mom and say you have to work late, and ask if she’d drive across town to pick your kid up from school and take care of them for a few hours until you’re free. She doesn’t think twice and your mind is completely at ease knowing your kiddo is in good hands. I don’t know what it’s like to have kids, but Shell has been more than a dog-sitter. She has been that third, auxiliary parent to my puppy when I’ve needed her! Even to the extent that she drove across town on a Thursday morning on zero notice to pick him up as I scrambled through an offsite work meeting. Also… Our pup was only 7 months old and we left him for a week with Shell, cold turkey. He had never stayed with anyone before; risky, I know. She sent pictures and videos every day of his playtime with friends, yummy meal toppers, and when we picked him up, he was as happy as a clam. It has been an immense relief knowing that, whenever we need a break, we can drop Winchester off and he is in great hands. We love our fluffy furball, but being able to drop him off and completely forget about him for a while is pure bliss sometimes. ? I don’t really know what else to say other than that I have complete and unwavering faith in Shell’s ability and good intention when it comes to caring for my little guy. I highly recommend bringing your pup to her… but hurry, she fills up fast!!”

“Naomi has been really great with Blue and ensured daily communication to send us news. We felt really good to know Blue was in good hands ! Thanks a lot for taking are of our dog!”
