“Briana is the first person we’ve ever seen manage to coax our shy cat out of her shell! Normally while we’re gone, Freya won’t come out from under the bed for anyone, and often, she won’t even accept treats. Briana managed to get her snuggling in her lap after only a few days. It made me feel so much better to know my cat trusted her and didn’t feel too lonely while we were away. Thanks Briana!”

“Shelly took amazing care of our little boy. Lots of pictures and updates. I know she is busy because she is so good. We hope she's available next time we need help with Keegan”

About: I have loved animals since a very young age and pets have always been a big part of my family. I worked as a vet tech for nearly a decade and have pet sit for many dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes (and even a few pot bellied pigs, goats, ducks, chinchillas, guinea pigs and chickens). I am comfortable with all animals - young, old, special needs and pets with special medical requirements (oral medication, fluids, insulin). I will treat your furry friends as my very own with lots of love, plenty of exercise + tons of fun experiences. I have a medium (45 lb) rescue dog (lab/hound mix) who adores all dogs and people. Available to walk dogs with or without her depending on what’s best for your furry friend. I work full time locally and have flexibility for drop in pet care at midday and/or afternoon/evenings. I am a pet owner so I understand the importance of maintaining a healthy routine to keeps pets happy. I have worked as a house/pet sitter for many years and am diligent about safeguarding your home and pet while caring for them. I have property management experience and can provide excellent references.
“Elizabeth is fantastic! I’ve never used Rover before and this was a great first experience! Elizabeth got my SUPER shy cat to come out and was able to give him his meds! That is not an easy feat! She spent lots of time at each visit and sent tons of pictures and videos! That helped ease my very anxious daughter that her baby was being well taken care of! I will absolutely use Elizabeth in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great reliable pet sitter! Thanks Elizabeth for taking such great care of our cats!”

About: My experience includes working with horses, donkeys, sheep, chickens, fish, reptiles, birds and more. I have my own dog Paul, and I've owned dogs and cats in the past as well. My most recent certification is in wildife rehabilitation, and I work part-time as an educator at an aquarium. I surround myself with animals and I hope to do so for the rest of my life. I work on Sundays and Mondays, volunteer on Thursdays, and may be called in on other days. I am responsible for my own animals at home as well. As long as I have time to plan for animal care for others, I will make that care a priority. Clearly written instructions on specific care for your animals is appreciated, but I can use my knowledge and experience to make the right calls if anything comes up.
“Melissa is great with our cat and warmed up to her quickly. Very prompt and responsive. You can tell she’s been doing this for a while. We feel very at ease knowing things are being taken care of and our cat is happy!”

“Libby was great! She did a wonderful job with Jasper and Leo, made them happy to see her every day with me being out of town. Very responsible and gave updates with fun photos of them playing. Highly recommended and will use again.”

“If I could give a 1000 stars I would!!! Torie was absolutely a gem. It was last minute and she truly is Mrs Dolittle. Willow our dachshund had such an amazing time. And went right to Torie i know he felt loved because, the pictures really tell a story. Thank you soo much Torie for loving him the way we do. We will be forever thankful to you. Love Willow and his family.”

“Marii is the absolute sweetest, and did such a great job checking in on our doggie! She was kind, communicative, and made sure to give us a thorough update/lots of pictures, even though the check in was just an hour long! She also came up meet Lucy before the actual check-in, which was so nice of her! Thank you, will definitely be booking again!!!”

“Danielle relieved all my anxiety about leaving my cat, who needs a pill twice a day. She sent me messages and photos, which reassured me that my baby was getting his medicine and some loving attention while we were gone. It was a great experience and we hope Danielle will look after Bodhi again! Thanks so much!”

“Excellent experience with Jessica. Professional, reliable, and great communication throughout. She truly went above and beyond, which gave me complete confidence leaving my dog in her care. I would absolutely book again.”

About: What sets me apart is my commitment to providing a truly elevated standard of care. I approach every pet with a tailored, detail-oriented mindset—taking the time to understand their routines, preferences, and personality so their experience feels seamless and stress-free. I prioritize reliability, clear communication, and consistency, ensuring you’re always informed and confident while you’re away. Beyond basic care, I focus on creating a calm, structured, and attentive environment where your pet feels secure and genuinely cared for. My goal is not just to meet expectations, but to exceed them with professionalism, trust, and a high level of personal attention. Pet care is a natural part of our daily and weekly routine because my partner and I work together as a team to provide consistent, attentive care for every animal we look after. We structure our schedules so that one of us is always available, which allows for flexibility and ensures pets get the time, attention, and exercise they need. On a daily basis, we prioritize walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and check-ins, making sure each pet’s specific needs and routines are followed closely. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday drop-ins, or evening care, we divide responsibilities in a way that keeps everything running smoothly and stress-free for the pets. Throughout the week, we also plan for longer walks, park visits, or extra enrichment activities depending on the pet’s energy level and personality. Because there are two of us, we’re able to provide extra reliability, backup coverage, and more personalized attention. Caring for animals isn’t something we squeeze into our schedule—it’s a central part of our routine and something we genuinely enjoy building our days around. My partner and I work together to provide attentive and reliable care in our clients’ homes, always focusing on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and happy in their environment. In a client’s home, we make it a priority to stick closely to each pet’s usual routine—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions—so they feel secure and experience as little disruption as possible. We also keep the home tidy, provide regular updates, and make sure pets get plenty of affection and attention while their owners are away. Because there are two of us, in the times both of us are present, we’re able to offer extra flexibility, consistent supervision, and dependable backup. This team approach allows us to give each pet personalized care and plenty of one-on-one attention.
About: I have been taking care of animals for the last 8 years. I’ve had animals in my life since the time I was born. Currently, I have two animals in my household. A black lab named Manny and a cat named Henry. Both are wonderful and wouldn’t trade them for the world. If you need help house sitting or even letting them out, I’d be happy to help. I can be able to care of the animals any time during the weekends. Week days I can do anytime after 3pm for a drop in or house sitting. I can be able to let the dogs outside in the yard or for a walk. I am able to play with them. For food schedules, I’ll feed and give them water and of course treats. For cats, I can feed and give them water while changing the cat litter when needed.
About: I’ve wanted a dog since my childhood dog passed away when I was 8. My parents never got another but now that I am living by myself I have a ton of love to give to any dog that comes to stay. I currently work full time but any free time I would love to fit your dog in my schedule! Reach out and we can figure something out. My apartment complex has a dog park right next to my apartment so I will utilize that to get the dog outside and moving around. The apartment is pretty spacious, so the dog won’t be cramped in a single bedroom all day.
About: I’ve spent 6 years working at a puppy store dealing with temperaments of 50+ different dog breeds. At this work place I groomed puppies, fed them, cleaned up after them, and gave them tons of affection! I also have personal experience with administering pet medication, as well as dealing with deaf canines. I’m currently working part-time so I have some availability for your fur babies! I am available for dog walking, drop-in, and doggy daycare Mondays-Wednesdays all day! I do also have availability Thursday-Sunday in the evenings. No matter where I pet sit, my priority is to make sure your fur baby is comfortable and well cared for. I respect and maintain a tidy area at your home just as I do mine.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Old Mystic
Miranda was an amazing cat sitter! 11/10 would recommend. While we were gone, she was able to divide and administer heart failure medication for one of our cats, cleaned up hairballs, made sure they had food & water, and kept their litter boxes clean. She was very communicative and we loved her photo updates and her drop in descriptions.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
