“Carolina was amazing with our dog! When we picked him up, he was happy, calm, and exhausted—which tells me he got plenty of attention, playtime, and care. Communication was great and we felt very comfortable the entire time. We’ll definitely be using her again. Thank you!”

“Molly has severe separation anxiety and can’t be left alone, which limits what we can do during the week. We have been looking for someone to watch her regularly for church on Sundays though and I’m so glad we found Madelyn! We drop Molly off in the morning and pick her up a few hours later and we know she’s in good hands. Madelyn provides prompt communication and takes good care of our girl!”

About: Hi! I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have extensive experience caring for pups of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. I truly love being around animals and treat every dog like my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. I’m reliable, attentive, and happy to accommodate your pet’s needs—whether that means caring for them in your home or welcoming them into mine, where I have a fully fenced-in yard for safe outdoor play. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I always prioritize communication and will keep you updated for complete peace of mind! I work from home full-time, which allows me to be very flexible with pet care throughout the day. I’m able to take dogs out frequently, provide attention, and fit in short walks as needed. In my home, dogs have access to a safe, fully fenced-in yard for supervised outdoor time, along with plenty of attention, play, and comfort indoors. I stick closely to each dog’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, and any special care needs. In a client’s home, I’m equally attentive and respectful, making sure pets feel secure in their familiar environment while maintaining their normal routine and providing consistent care, affection, and updates.
About: I offer structured, enrichment-focused boarding and daycare in my home, with an emphasis on helping each dog feel safe, understood, and cared for. I’ve been training dogs since 2022 and welcome dogs of all training backgrounds, meeting every dog and owner with compassion, respect, and empathy. I’m comfortable using a variety of tools, including harnesses, e-collars, and prong collars, based on what works best for your dog. I’m a former Veterinary Technician with four years of experience, and I’m confident administering medications, caring for senior dogs, and closely monitoring health and behavior. Your dog’s comfort and well-being are always my top priorities. Boarding includes a structured walk, play and yard time, place/relaxation work, and a hike. For safety and peace of mind, dogs are crated when unsupervised, so boarding clients must be crate trained. All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, including rabies and distemper. To ensure the best fit and answer any questions, all new clients are required to complete an in-person meet and greet prior to booking. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home throughout the day and able to give dogs consistent attention, structure, and care. Our days include structured walks, enrichment activities, play and yard time, relaxation/place work, and hikes when appropriate. I closely monitor each dog’s behavior, energy level, and comfort, and I tailor care to their individual needs. With my training background and veterinary experience, I’m able to provide attentive, knowledgeable care while keeping dogs safe, calm, and happy in my home. In my home, dogs are cared for in a safe, structured, and comfortable environment. I have kennels in a variety of sizes to ensure every dog can rest comfortably and securely when needed. On days when outdoor activities aren’t possible due to weather, I provide indoor options such as treadmills and a variety of interactive enrichment activities to keep dogs mentally and physically engaged. When weather allows, I take advantage of nearby trails and parks to give dogs safe, enriching adventures that suit their energy level and needs.

“I can’t say enough good things about Sue! She was so incredibly accommodating and patient with my dog. My dog, Sadie, was uncharacteristically anxious and scared on our vacation. She was having a really hard time separating from me at all. Sue took the time to get her acclimated with the new environment and allowed me into her home to give Sadie time to adjust and get comfortable. She played calming music for Sadie and gave her her favorite treat- peanut butter. By the time we picked Sadie up, she was very happy and more back to herself. Sue gave Sadie so much love and attention the whole time I was at the aquarium. I was able to have a good time, knowing my dog was in good hands. Sue kept me updated on Sadie’s progress with texts, pictures and videos. I am so very grateful and would recommend Sue to anyone seeking a great pet sitter!”

“Karen was a great dog sitter for our little guy. She sent photo updates, was kind, & we knew our dog was in good hands. We would definitely book with Karen again. Thank you.”

“I came into the area for the day and Elizabeth was so wonderful to watch my dog Daisy. She has such a lovely home and family. I would absolutely 💯% recommend Elizabeth. Daisy had a great day in her care!”

“Adam and Jennifer were wonderful! They were flexible and responsive, kept me updated with a sweet picture and message, and most importantly, took such great care of my senior boy. It gave me real peace of mind while we were at a family gathering nearby. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by and caring for all kind of animals (even monkeys). Family, friends, colleagues, and strangers, have relied on me to care for their dogs, cats, and more for years; Knowing that I will love their pets like I love my own, my clients have confidence and trust when booking with me! As a full-time stay-at-home mom, I’m home the majority of the day and able to provide consistent care and attention. I intentionally only accept one additional dog at a time so each pet receives plenty of supervision and individualized care I have one dog, Ollie, that loves to play and keep every guest company. I am in a two story duplex with a small unfenced yard, but have an outdoor lead for potty breaks and plenty of areas for walking in my neighborhood. If necessary, for separation/calm down time, I have a baby gate available that can break up my kitchen and living room and I also have a spare room upstairs. There will be no instances where our pets are left alone unmonitored for the safety of both parties.
“We were in town visiting from Virginia and needed to find someone to watch our baby Jax for a day. So glad we found Elisa! She was very responsive to our request and was able to accommodate our change in pick up time. I can tell her and her family treated Jax like one of their own because he adapted so quickly! And I can tell he had a lot of fun because he instantly went to sleep. We’ll definitely book Elisa again if we need another sitter when we’re back in town!”

About: I I have a unique background in dog sitting that sets me apart from others. For years, I’ve lovingly cared for my own 16-year-old rescue dog, who had special needs. This experience taught me how to provide attentive, compassionate care tailored to each dog’s individual requirements, especially senior dogs who need a little extra support and patience. In addition to senior care, I’ve looked after dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages, gaining valuable insights into their different needs and personalities. I also have hands-on experience with puppies, ever since I adopted my golden retriever as a puppy—she’s now 2 years old and absolutely loves other dogs. Living within walking distance of the beach, I’m always excited to take dogs on outdoor adventures, making sure they have a fantastic time during their stay with me. Whether it’s a leisurely walk, playtime, or simply extra snuggles, I’m dedicated to keeping every dog happy, comfortable, and safe. I am currently self-employed and work on my own time virtually. I am pretty much home all day everyday! I love being outside and going on long walks with the dogs I sit for. I have a yard with a stake for safe outdoor time, and I live within walking distance to the water—so the dogs will be going on plenty of walks and adventures.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and I will take care of yours as they were my own. I love being outdoors so they won’t ever be bored. I will make sure your pup is taken care of while you are away, I understand the anxiety that comes with leaving them so I will send updates and pics to put you at ease if needed. I will adhere to rules and training that you are working on with the dog. I will ask questions to see what exactly you and they need. If needing overnight care you can be assured I will look after them and they will not be lonely. We will socialize and play until it’s time for them to go home. I can’t wait to meet all of the new paws! I work part time and very flexible. Off sat-Monday and during the week I’m off at two! I walk my dog everyday after work and we love going to places where he can run around and have some fun! My dog is a part of my family. He has a very comfortable life and his choice of space on the couch. We go for walks everyday and he loves playing in the yard
About: I have helped families take care of their pets (and kids!) for over 20 years! I just moved to Westerly with my husband, rescue pup, and sweet senior cat and we just had our first child. I enjoy helping families with their fur babies as I settle into being a stay at home mom! Depending on the baby’s schedule, sometimes my husband does the visits for me or we all go together with the baby in a carrier— let me know in advance if you have any issues. Being a mother is my full time job, so my schedule is very flexible! Feel free to inquire about a date that is marked unavailable. I take into consideration what each pet needs during my visits, whether that’s a long walk, a few rounds of fetch or just some cuddles.
About: I believe that with age comes wisdom, patience, and experience that simply can’t be taught. I am lucky enough to have reached the age where I have gained said wisdom, patience, and experience that only age can bestow upon us! For this reason, in addition to my 30 years of experience caring for dogs is what I believe separates me from other pet sitters. I have over 30 years of experience caring for both large and small dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to gentle seniors. Over the years, I’ve developed not only strong, reliable caregiving skills but also a deep and genuine love for dogs. Their happiness, safety, and well-being are always my top priorities. I understand that dogs are not “one size fits all.” Every dog has a unique personality, temperament, energy level, and set of needs. Some thrive on long walks and endless games of fetch, while others prefer a slower pace and extra cuddle time. I take the time to learn each dog’s routines, preferences, and comfort zones so I can provide personalized care that helps them feel secure and loved. Our family recently lost our beloved Chiweenie, Bailey, at 14 years old. She was truly part of our family, and caring for her through every stage of her life only deepened my understanding of the changing needs dogs have as they age. While we don’t currently have a dog, we are looking forward to welcoming the next fur baby into both our hearts and our home. My posted rates are all “starting at” rates. Once I meet a prospective family and learn more about their dog’s specific needs, we can always discuss and adjust rates accordingly. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I do—it’s something I truly love. I am attentive, patient, and committed to providing individualized, compassionate care for every dog entrusted to me. New Clients Use My Code For $20 Off of Your First Service! https://www.rover.com/sit/katiel73869 I care for your pet(s) the way I cared for my own pet; with love, careful attention, (not only for signs of what s/he may need, but also to help build a bond with your fur baby, and for safety), and respect. Your dog is welcome both on my couch and in my bed. If this is something that is against the rules in your home, please let me know so that I’m not unknowingly breaking your rules! The best way to explain how I will treat your dog is, “I will treat your dog(s) like I would treat my own,” or “I will treat your dog the way I would want someone to treat my dog!”
About: I’ve had my own cats and dogs for about 30+ years and have even fostered dogs in GA, in the past. I have always had larger breed dogs, and currently have my cane corso, Stella, whom I’ve trained entirely myself. I had a bull mastiff, Grunt, from the time my brother passed away in 2015, until Grunt went to heaven to join him again in June of 2023. And even before Grunt, I had another cane corso, Roxy, and before her were mostly pitties. It’s very easy for me to be an amazing pack leader as I am a natural born leader and fall into the roll with ease. I believe in finding a way to communicate with our animals by paying close attention to their queues that they give. And when I say that I’ve never met an animal that I didn’t love, I mean it! Spending my time with them, is something I consider a blessing and an honor, and I truly treat every one like they are my own. I have owned a cleaning company for the last 5 years and I have had a few clients ask me to care for their pets. I decided that since my favorite part of some of my cleaning jobs was playing with people’s pets, that I’d rather transition to doing that full time instead! I can’t physically clean houses forever, but I’ll always be able to love on pets! My schedule is extremely flexible because I have and run my own business At my home, I have a very large, fenced in, yard with camera coverage both inside and outdoors. And as I’ve had my cleaning business for over 5 years, I have lots of people who trust me with their homes and their pets. Many clients have told me just how good it makes them feel knowing that they can truly, trust, and rely on me. I treat every job as tho it’s my own home or pet, and I’m great under pressure. If something happens, I am a problem solver.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
