About: I've lived with dogs nearly my whole life, and cats for half of it. I have taken care of said pets for years and been an in-family pet sitter on numerous occasions. My mother frequently cares for other pets through apps like this/through friends, and I assist her with that when needed. At the moment, I care for my mother's pets when she leaves town for any length of time (1 small/medium dog, 1 cat). Otherwise, I'm a free agent. Some of the services listed on the app have the potential to overlap (such as a visit and a walk), I don't consider the price to be totally compounding, just let me know and we can figure out what works best. I'd imagine this is on a situational basis. I'll pet/feed/walk them and am able to follow directions as well as any human, should your pet require specific, or unique, handling. I can usually read pet body language pretty well, but have no specific training in it. If there are any areas of confusion for me, I'll be sure to ask questions to make sure your pet is cared for properly.

About: My husband and I recently returned from Costa Rica where we volunteered on a dog farm assisting with bathing, grooming and giving lots of love to almost 2,000 rescued dogs that live there. My husband also has a separate rover account under Maxi S. During my high school/college years my mother trained 5 different dogs for guiding eyes for the blind which I helped in the training process as well while home. I also started housesitting and caring for pets of local neighbors at the young age of 10. We have always had dogs in my home. I couldn’t imagine living without a dog. I have experience with dogs of all ages, puppies to senior dogs. I myself have a 9 year old cocker spaniel who thinks she is a human. I understand all pet owners and their pets have different needs and will respect any rules required to give your pet the care they need. I will treat your dog like my own. My family just returned from Costa Rica. My husband and I are both looking for flexible part time work which allow us to still care for our 1.5 year old son. You can also find my husbands separate rover account under maxi S. At the moment our schedule is open and flexible but as we find work our schedules will be changing depending. We have a good sized yard which is not fenced in but in a quiet neighborhood with a cul-de-sac. I don’t usually crate my dog, but if your dogs are crated I am familiar with crate training. I am a flexible person and am able to modify based on your pets needs.

“So happy I chose Sophie to walk my beloved golden Oliver, she was extremely thorough and incredibly caring. Loved the pictures!! and she went out of her way to make sure she got all the details and also ensured we had total peace of mind. Especially when she checked Oliver for ticks after he walked in the grass. And making sure he got water after the walk! Amazing experience!”

About: Hello! My name is Sam and dogs have been my passion for as long as I can remember. I have been pet sitting since I was a teenager, and have always had a hand in caring for my family's pets. Within the last year I have had the opportunity to help whelp two litters of Bernese Mountain Dog puppies and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I love getting to know new dogs and cats, and have been known to leave my table at a restaurant to pet a dog I see through the window. I am the person at the party seeking out the pets so I can talk to them, rather than talk to the humans! I attend obedience classes with my own dogs weekly, and will be attending handling classes soon as well. Nothing brightens my day like being greeted by a dog, and getting to take care of them. We currently have three dogs and three cats in our home. Nothing is more important to me than your animal's comfort and safety.

About: I was a volunteer with Guiding Eyes for the Blind for many years. I have successfully raised and trained 3 guide dogs and have raised over 100 puppies from the age of a few days to 6 weeks for this organization. I successfully bred my Labrador, Amber and have a an excellent reputation among the families and friends of those families who have one of our dogs. I recently took a course and am now certified in Pet CPR. My husband is a longtime volunteer with OLFD and holds a high ranking position within the department and our daughter is studying to be a Special Education teacher. We have a clean, dog friendly home and a fenced yard. We are kind, trusting, loving, honest people and take pride in treating your pet with great care and unconditional love. I look forward to making more doggy friendships and hope you will consider me for your current and future needs. I am happy to supply references! I do work full time Monday - Friday so my doggy daycare services are limited to the weekends. When I board dogs, I typically get them out in the morning to play for an hour or so and then again at lunchtime. This works for most dogs as they are used to working family members. Our yard is completely fenced in with plenty of room to run. I have crates and extra space to separate the pups if needed. Whatever your routine is with your dog, will be our routine. If they are allowed on the couch, then they will be on the couch. If they are not allowed on the furniture, we will not let them on it.

About: I have a depth and variety of experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I’ve worked at a doggy daycare, where I handled multiple dogs at once in group settings, giving me valuable experience with a wide range of breeds and personalities. I’m very familiar with reading canine body language and making sure play stays safe and respectful. I’ve also cared for both puppies and senior dogs, so I’m comfortable adjusting my care to their unique needs—whether it’s helping with early training for a new pup or making sure an older dog is comfortable and supported throughout the day. On top of that, I’ve owned and cared for dogs my entire life, which has taught me to be attentive, patient, and genuinely connected to each dog I spend time with. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine. My schedule is currently very flexible and accommodating, which allows me to take on regular walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting as needed. I truly enjoy spending my time with your furry friends, so fitting pet care into my day feels natural and fulfilling, whether it’s a quick walk or an overnight stay. I only offer care in my client’s home, and I always do my best to make sure your pet feels comfortable and safe in their familiar environment. I pay close attention to their behavior, routines, and any specific needs they may have. Whether it’s feedings, walks, playtime, or medications, I follow your instructions carefully and treat your pet and home with the utmost respect and care.

“Mary Jo is an excellent pet sitter!! She took care of my dog and 2 cats for a week, coming to my house 2x per day. Mary Jo is reliable, conscientious and kind. She also stayed in contact which I really appreciated. Next vacation I'm definitely booking Mary Jo again and highly recommend her!!”

“I was so grateful to find Allie and can’t wait to use her in the future. I don’t have animals but my parents and in laws do who we watch often. It was so nice to have peace of mind while I’m at work that they were taken care of. Allie came over to do a meet and greet before hand and the dogs immediately felt comfortable and loved her. She is responsible, caring, and a total animal lover. I can’t wait to use her in the future and will definitely recommend her to everyone I know!”

About: Howdy! My name is Erin. I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years now and have met some wonderful pets along the way. My main services on here are dog walking and drop-ins. I have experience with senior dogs, giving daily medication and assisting with mobility as needed. My goal is to make sure your dog or cat is well taken care of, they’re part of the family and I will do whatever I can to accomplish that. I also have a dog (Willow) and cat (Destri) of my own at home, who I will refer to as my fur babies. If your dog wants a companion on our walks, Willow would be more than happy to join us. She gets along with just about everyone, but understands if your dog would prefer to walk alone with me. If you have any questions feel free to reach out!😊 I work remotely, so have a fairly flexible schedule. As long as I can get set time/days ahead of time, I should be able to make it work. We can discuss in more detail as needed. As I stated above, my goal is to make sure your pet is well taken care of. This includes ensuring a safe environment for your pet and building trust with my clients. I am a big proponent of respect and trust in my life, so it’s no different in this circumstance.

“Duck had a wonderful walk with Adriana! I was very pleased and loved the pictures from the update. Adriana was very communicative and attentive. Highly recommend!”

About: I have taken care of all different animals since I was 10,Ones with fur and ones without. I have volunteered at shelters and worked for 7 years at a Vet Clinic. I have had animals all my life. I love all animals of any size, not afraid of the big guys either. I have raised animals from birth till they found the rainbow bridge. I find it is most important that the animal feels safe and secure when in my care whether that be in their home or mine. I lost both of my cats in the past 2 years and my 14yr old rescue pup less then a year ago. I miss having a furry companion around and feel like this opportunity would fill that void for me and the pets I watch who are missing their family. I'm an avid hiker and love being outdoors regardless of the weather. Your pet will never be bored :) I have a very flexible work schedule as I own and run my own business, I can be available with very little notice to care for your babies. Schedules can be worked around your animals needs. I currently don't have any children or pets in my home. I would also only host one pet family at a time in my home. After recently caring for my latest dog who had many health issues, I'm very familiar with "older" pets and their special needs, as well as the new babies, with that being said every animal is different and needs would be discussed on an individual basis.

About: Hi everyone. This was my last post- pre COVID, I have had dogs all of my life. I currently have two rescues that I adore and have experience with pet sitting, administering medication and quickly establish rapport with animals. Looking to supplement my income as a paraprofessional doing something I love, taking excellent care of your pet! Today, I work in a different industry but my love for animals has not changed. My son is now almost 13 and an avid animal lover as well. Looking forward to meeting your family's four legged personality. I currently work full time for the Essex Steam Train and Riverboat. My availability off season is open on the weekends for over nights and open most days for walks- play etc. Able to provide services in your home as well as walks, hiking and visits to dog parks if desired. Happy to transport animals in my car.
